We had an absolutely phenomenal meal at Gion Hanamai. The courses were prepared before our eyes and the service was very attentive. Each course was beautiful and plated exquisitely. Highly recommend for a uniquely modern kaiseki experience.

As an American accustomed to US steakhouses, maybe the best beef I’ve ever eaten. Note, Japanese (read: small) portions, so would recommend ordering extra beef. One of the best meals we had during our 3 week tour of japan
