Lovely food, ambience and service. As we live by the Norfolk coast we were a little reluctant to have the oysters this far inland but they were fabulous.

We had Sunday lunch and it was lovely! Generous portions and very tasty. We had a small dog with us who was spoiled with treats! We were booked in for 1pm which was bound to be busy, so it took a while for the food to arrive but the staff were pleasant and it was worth the wait!

It was a very busy day and the staff were very professional and the service was great. A nice table for 2 upstairs and a great elderflower cocktail.

Overall a lovely evening. Staff were attentive and keen to please, couldn't be more helpful, with any minor issues speedily dealt with. Food was lovely and high quality. I'm glad we went for the three starter plate deal as the portion sizes of the main course weren't large, but I'd prefer quality over quantity any day, and the flavour range was excellent. Great pub standard dishes on offer with additional chef dishes on the new menu. Being a Tuesday night booking, the place wasn't packed and we could converse easily. Volume levels on the sound system went up significantly when the football came on the television, which wasn't really unexpected for a place with live sports I guess. Would I go again? Yes, absolutely. Looking forward to trying the carvery on one of the nights it's available.
