Had afternoon tea which was lovely. Service was very attentive and helpful. Restaurant was nice and cool with the hot weather. Would definitely recommend. Well done !!

It’s the first time we’ve been since the new restaurant was opened. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return and recommend to everyone.

It was a very busy day and the staff were very professional and the service was great. A nice table for 2 upstairs and a great elderflower cocktail.

Overall a lovely evening. Staff were attentive and keen to please, couldn't be more helpful, with any minor issues speedily dealt with. Food was lovely and high quality. I'm glad we went for the three starter plate deal as the portion sizes of the main course weren't large, but I'd prefer quality over quantity any day, and the flavour range was excellent. Great pub standard dishes on offer with additional chef dishes on the new menu. Being a Tuesday night booking, the place wasn't packed and we could converse easily. Volume levels on the sound system went up significantly when the football came on the television, which wasn't really unexpected for a place with live sports I guess. Would I go again? Yes, absolutely. Looking forward to trying the carvery on one of the nights it's available.
