I love the Capital Grille especially for special events which we were celebrating my wife's birthday. For some reason the hostess desk doesn't understand that the customers first encounter should be with someone who is friendly and makes you feel like you are a valued customer. I had parked the car so came in and mentioned that you have just seated my wife at a table, instead of being pleasant she was put out to walk 10-20 feet to show me to the table and just stopped short and pointed around a wall for me to walk to the table. This is not the first time that the hostess desk has had this attitude with diners.! Like all the other times we have dined at this **restaurant** once we were greeted by our waiter, the experience became professional and excellent! The food was great and when we mentioned it was my wife's birthday, he came back with some festive items which helped set the mood. There were items which we never saw such as a card just sitting at the hostess desk big surprise! We love the waiters we have had in the past and especially the waiter we had that day who was from South Dakota, he really did a wonderful job of making the experience memorable.

Great service however the **restaurant** itself is needing updating. It’s set in the basement of a building and needs new carpet, new ceiling tiles etc. It was clean however, just needs refreshed. Food is your average fondue - BUT, the desert fondue is amazing. Overall a great and unique experience.

Arrived early for our reservation and decided to set at the bar, had the smoked old fashioned which was amazing and she had the hope diamond, cant put into words the quality of these drinks and the presentation. Service was spot on and after 3 of these drinks each our table was ready promptly at reservation time. Our server David never missed a beat (as professional as they come). The steak tartare was amazing my wife has been looking for this dish since come here from Chicago and loved it. The bone in fillet and the bone in rib-eye were two of the best steak we have ever had. Adam the manager visited our table and gave me a sample of there personal line of bourbon. This entire experience was the best and most memorable **restaurant** venture we have had. Thank u to the entire staff!!!!
