My main was a beautiful lemon sole on the bone cooked to perfection. A new dessert was the orange soufflé which was so light and fresh. We felt so special. It was my husband’s birthday and we were so happy to be there. Exquisite service. This is a world beater restaurant!!!!!!!!More info21Price: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

We decided to mark the occasion by having the T-bone steak to share - we realised that neither of us had ever had that cut before - and I can't imagine it could be better. The meat was perfectly cooked, the blue cheese salad was delicious, it was a memorable dish. The starters were excellent as well - can't say much about the desserts because all we were capable of by that stage was lemon sorbet each! When we arrived there was only one other table occupied, but it soon filled up and was a really good atmosphere. Staff were all friendly and efficient. A bit pricy, but it was a birthday lunch and definitely worth it!More infoThe Broad CharePrice: Expensive• British• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8

Decent portions too, served with a smile 5*More infoWilliam De PercyPrice: Moderate• Contemporary French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4
