Dinner at Forty1 was an excellent experience. Kat, the restaurant manager, welcomed us right in and sat us down at the most amazing patio that looks over the beautiful pool and out onto the beautiful Sedona landscape. Daniel, our attendant at the pool earlier in the day, started us off with a nice bite from the kitchen to warm up our appetites and then Mariah, our server, took over. She was spot on with her suggestions and genial hospitality. The tuna crudo was the perfect starter. It was fresh and the flavors were amazing. The shrimp and grits were perfect and the Beeler’s pork chop was cooked exactly as ordered. The bourbon pecan pie that Mariah recommended for dessert was definitely the way to end the meal. We can’t wait to see what Kyle’s team serves up tonight!

The best dining experience we’ve had in Sedona! Our server Joshua was amazing, the food was hands down best in Sedona, and the ambiance was perfection for date night. Highly recommend.

We had the wings to start which were outstanding. Then on to vegetable tacos which were very good, although not assembled. The Duroc pork chop was excellent but a little overcooked (I had ordered it medium). The server was a little too pushy and we felt like we were being rushed. Key lime pie was excellent and actually enough for 2 or maybe even 3 people! We’ll be back!

Some people choose to dine where the food is artfully prepared and served, some choose to dine where there is a serene and magical ambiance, others focus on pampered and wonderful service. At our dinner at Cress at Oak Creek, all of these important facets of a fine dining experience came together as one. Sedona is known for its red rocks and many restaurants offer diners red rock views which are wonderful, but the unique, private and tranquil setting of a canopy of mature trees and tables set along the banks of the stunning oak creek and its softy running waters is incomparable to any dining we have done in Sedona thus far. Our server and other table runners were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and satisfying. For starters, we had the milk rolls with the three types homemade butters. We also shared the roasted delicata squash and beet salad- the combo of flavors was wonderful. For dinner entrees we enjoyed the halibut and the 16 oz ribeye steak which comes from a local ranch. Our dessert was the rosemary and orange cake with luxardo cherries, chantilly cream and pistachios atop. All items were wonderful. This is not an everyday dining experience by any means, so come prepared for the cost associated with the quality and uniqueness of what you receive. To us as foodies and lovers of nature and serenity, it was totally and absolutely worth it.
