- SsusanGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined on 10 Sept 2026Our experience at the 1869 Room was nothing but superb. The staff was so friendly and attentive yet unobtrusive. We ate there the four nights we stayed at the hotel. Every meal was positively delicious - the chef's choice of flavors were incredible. The ambiance was relaxing and warm. Special note of Jo Jo who welcomed us our first two nights. She made us feel right at home. And Mitch our server made us feel like family remembering our favorites from night to night. We can't wait to go back.More info1869 Room at The Wentworth$$$$• Contemporary American• Jackson•4.5

- KkeithGoldGreater Boston •73 reviews4.0Dined on 5 Sept 2026Overall an excellent experience. It's nice and quiet which is great. The Mount Washington right up the hill. It's just ridiculously thronged with kids. The Bretton Arms is always a little bit more laid back. In other words, it's where us old farts like to go. I had the Autumn salad which was excellent nice and crisp and very fresh. For my main course I had the filet mignon with a nice red wine reduction. Extremely good, extremely tender. Oh God you could have cut it with a fork. Richard had the mozzarella Barrata salad which is very nice. For his main he had the Black Cod which is also known as sablefish. The only downside I would say is the portions are pretty small for the price. My tenderloin was $68 and there was not a decent size portion. So hey guys, for the amount of money to check you could be a little more generous but the taste was fantastic. For dessert I had the Pear Tarte Tatin. If it's very good but instead of the usual kind of puff pastry it was more of a cake. Like I said, very good but I still prefer the true traditional way to serve it. Richard had the ice pudding which sounded much better than it turned out to be. They actually offered him a second dessert which they served to us up at the Mount Washington and we brought it back to the room.More infoBretton Arms Dining Room$$$$• American• Bretton Woods•4.6
