    First time to visit The Gate today for mums 91 birthday Beautiful transformation from last owners. The service we received was second to none, from the time of ordering to food arriving on table no lengthy wait whatsoever. The food was superb and full of flavour all being served at same time and piping hot. The staff were very attentive Highly recommended and will most definitely be returning

    We picked The Tickled Trout because we wanted someone quiet and unique for an anniversary and due to a vegan diet restriction, needed a place that could cater for all diets. We had a late table booked and Marcus was a fantastic host for the evening. Great choice of tapas dishes and we picked three meat and three vegan which was ample to be shared between two people. Would recommend the chickpea dish which had a nice spicy kick to it and was flavourful and the patatas bravas was not an overwhelming massive plate of blandness- it was a dish with flavour. Perfect celebration venue and fantastic service and food.
