Indian Zing restaurant in Hammersmith has won rave reviews its modern, light yet robustly-flavoured Indian food. Indeed, it’s one of Fay Maschler’s Top Five Indian restaurants. Formerly Deputy head chef at Chutney Mary and Head Chef at Veeraswamy, chef-proprietor Manoj Vasiakar has got the traditional / contemporary mix right on the money. Deciding what to have is agony – so make your mates promise to share, then start with Prawn and Aubergine Kharkhatla and move on to the delicately-spiced Fish Shirale (cooked in coconut milk and finished with onion and tomato masala) or the crackingly good Duck Chettinad. With spot-on service, elegantly relaxed surroundings and very reasonable prices, this Indian will make your heart Zing.

Situated down a quiet side street, on the corner of elegant St Peter’s Square, The Carpenter’s Arms is an independent nineteenth-century pub with a beautiful garden where the food is the star.We focus on simple, beautifully cooked seasonal food. Our menu and Specials Board change daily: Simply cooked sustainable fish; British meats; delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes and tempting puddings to finish. Simple dishes, big flavours. We are just as serious about good drink as we are about good food. Our well stocked bar helps keep the relaxed and convivial spirit of a local boozer very much alive. We operate a rotating list of guest real ales, as well as world wines from just under £30 a bottle. We also serve the only cocktails worth filling the glass for – a negroni for lunch, a martini before dinner, an Old Fashioned when you need a stiff drink, a Margarita for when you want to pretend you’re on holiday and a Bloody Mary for the morning after.

Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu containing all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. Our curries are inspired by the railway cooks on train journeys in India.Founder and Head Cook Puneet Wadhwani, has created a never-before-seen menu bringing to life the snacks and dishes he once ate as a child growing up within a bicycle ride of New Delhi train station.Experience the depth and aromas of Proper Indian Street Food. With a small yet cozy outdoor deck enjoy our award-winning food and sip cocktails, medal-winning wines, and craft beer in a leafy village surrounding. Let us take you on a journey.

Superb local pub. Would bet good to let the Union Jack outside be on full display rather than rolled up. Will be coming back here soon no doubt.

I was greeted at the door with a smile and welcome as if they knew who I was. They escorted to my seat. Made me a delicious cocktail tailored to my requirements. The team was warm, friendly, happy, and attentive. Beautifully decorated, comfortable space to manoeuvre and great ambience. There were five birthday groups, and everyone sung along and cheered for each other. Some of our group was there for 2-4-1 from cocktails, and we were there till late. The food was gorgeously presented, flavourful, and delicious. Pleasant warning: Be prepared to take away some of the Wagu T-bone as the birthday boy did. He said it was amazing. The team helped us to take some pictures, and the chef came out to see and speak to us about the menu, which was awesome. I'm definitely going back !!!❤️❤️❤️
