This was our first time at the Star Inn as part of our mini-moon to York and we had an amazing evening. The restaurant is lovely and the food was incredible! The staff were friendly and our waitress Katy couldn’t have been more helpful. The menu had changed when we arrived in York and my wife was really looking forward to having something off the old menu. We didn’t think this was going to be possible but Katy went and spoke to the kitchen and sure enough they made it for us! What a great experience!

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the pace of service was good. It was a Monday evening 7pm but still busy enough to keep the menu rotation fresh and the complete selection available. The pineapple with cinnamon was a personal highlight.

It was warm and friendly. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. They were very accommodating to my elderly mother-in-law. I like the fact that it is a consistently good experience.
