    Looking for somewhere to celebrate my birthday and chose The Bistro as the reviews were all very good. This little gem of a place certainly lived up to the reviews with a warm friendly welcome. The food was outstanding along with the service, we never felt rushed and the staff were attentive when required. Had the rolled shoulder of lamb which was cooked to perfection, followed this with the most amazing cherry desert to finish off an exceptional evening.

    We had a wonderful night at Stravaig. I had the butternut squash pasta, which was outstanding. My husband had the filet, which had great flavor. Our kids had the salmon and prawn salad and steak pie, all excellent. Cocktails and great wine with sharing desserts, superb evening. Thank you to Pedro for excellent service and chat. We will be back anytime we are in Ayr.

    Absolutely stunning! We went for breakfast, service was exceptional, food was superb, the property itself was absolutely perfect... and then the views from the Dining room were as good as you will get anywhere. First Class from start to finish
