    We had the Chefs special menu for $99 and it was truely amazing. Every course was made from locally grown produce. The staff were friendly and attentive and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Don’t be fooled by the non descriptive facade-what you will find inside is worth stepping inside for. We will be back!

    We always try to eat at Essen every time we visit Stanthorpe and we are never disappointed. Once again the food was delicious and interesting (the menu often includes one or two ingredients that we've never tried), the ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the staff were helpful and charming. The timing of each course was perfect and the quantity of food was ideal. All in all our experience was wonderful and we look forward to the next time we visit and our next culinary adventure!
