Restaurants near Steppenwolf Theatre

Boka is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants in chicago. The dishes that really wowed us was the arctic char, mushrooms and gnocchi. The drinks are delightful, but small, especially given the price point but they are all really special. And the included desserts, specially the truffle with lavender filling was fantastic.

Great food and ambiance! Only bummer was on service - Our server never asked us if we wanted another round of drinks. There was a huge break between when 3 of us got our meal and the 4th persons came. We had to ask about it.

Date night with my wife before a concert at the Salt Shed. We had an incredible dinner—both the food and service were outstanding. We started with the beet salad and mussels, both full of flavor and beautifully presented. My wife chose the Beef Wellington and absolutely loved it. I had the halibut, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. A great way to kick off the evening.

Good food! Good service. I expected it to be bigger from pictures online.
