Located near the Samuel Beckett Bridge, Lucia finds its home beside The Oarsman, a pub once frequented by James Joyce. Our restaurant is named not only after his beloved only daughter, Lucia Joyce, but also after the daughter of our chef, creating a heartfelt connection that spans generations. Lucia, an artist and dancer, once shared a fleeting yet impactful encounter with Samuel Beckett, a luminary of Irish literature. This connection, steeped in cultural richness and subtle depth, inspires our menu, where traditional Irish flavours are delicately enhanced with creative touches that reflect the nuance of Lucia’s expressive life.Join us at Lucia to savour the rich flavours and delve into the tales of Dublin’s illustrious past and vibrant present. Here, Dublin's literary heritage and modern creativity meet on your plate, crafting an experience as compelling as the stories we honor.Welcome to Lucia — where every dish tells a story.

We had a family meal here last night. We were given a really lovely table upstairs, unfortunately one of our family n crutches couldn't make it up the stairs. Even though they were very busy and fully booked they managed to very quickly get us a table downstairs. Both steak and chicken were ordered by our party and everyone really enjoyed their meals. All the food was cooked perfectly, the garlic bread was delicious and the complimentary profiteroles were delicious. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and efficient. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone

The whole experience was excellent. My wife and I wanted to go out for a romantic meal and had exactly that. I cannot remember our servers name, but he was extremely attentive, without being overbearing. The food was perfect, the drinks were tasty and the desert was to die for. It’s not our first time at The Ivy, and it certainly won’t be our last.
