Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine. The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

A St Charles street stand out, Superior was a great spot to catch the Saints football game. Upon arrival we were professionally greeted by the restaurant general manager Poy. Our server Sierra was very kind and personable. The service was top notch. The food was amazing. We ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms baked in a heavy cast iron skillet. The char grilled oysters with extra parmesan were fresh and delicious. The crawfish beignets were among the most creative dishes in the City. Highly recommended to locals and visitors alike. You will not be disappointed.

Just a divine experience! The turtle soup was rich, savory, and complex. The eggs hussard were the best I have had in my entire life! The coffee cured bacon ads a layer of taste. I did not know I could enjoy. And I enjoyed it with a pomegranate, bubbly drink that paired perfectly great service, elegant style, and worth the price you pay.

I saw Tacos del Cartel on an Instagram post and immediately knew I had to visit the next time we were in New Orleans. We had dinner there with another couple. The restaurant is gorgeous and has such a fun vibe! Luke was our server and he did an exceptional job! Our drinks and food were just perfect! I had the tacos birria and they were amazing!! The guacamole, queso, and other taco entrees were also so delicious! The churros were the perfect ending with the adorable ice cream cart. This was our favorite restaurant out of all the ones we visited while in New Orleans. We will absolutely be back!!
