L'Auberge Chez Francois
L’Auberge is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. It always pleases.
The waiter was very attentive. The menu perfect. Lovely ambience. good value. We hope to hear PG and Robin play there again.
L'Auberge Chez Francois lived up to its reputation as a terrific restaurant with exquisite food and excellent service. It's not the kind of place where mere mortals can dine every day, but for special occasions -- ours was a wedding anniversary -- it is perfect and well worth the price.
Our party of four enjoyed every aspect of our delicious meals while being served by an efficient, attentive and friendly wait staff. We cannot wait to have a chance to dine there again.
I could not love this restaurant more than I already do. I wish I had the means to eat here every week. We ate inside but the outdoor seating is beautiful too. The food is incredible and what I would expect from a restaurant of this reputation. They have a huge number of gluten-free selections - an important feature for my wife. It was much appreciated. Everyone was very kind and welcoming to us. The Grand Marnier soufflé was ridiculous.
It was one our most fabulous experiences we had. The food was excellent and in abundance. The service was absolutely the best.
We went for the second year in a row to celebrate an anniversary. The food was phenomenal as always. We love this restaurant.
You can always rely on L’Auberge for a relaxing time and a wonderful meal.
Always a delicious Culinary adventure with great service and the best atmosphere!!
We went to L'Auberge with 8 friends and family members to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was, as usual, superb. It is a sign of an excellent kitchen when everyone's order comes out on time, exactly to their specification, and is served with such grace. Thank you so much for making it such a special meal. We really love having important celebrations at your restaurant. And clearly we're not the only ones as there were at least 4 other birthday parties happening at the same time.
The food was delicious, but the prix-fixe menu was just a little more food than I needed (my husband was fine though). It was kind of the restaurant to give us a special dessert à deux for our anniversary celebration.
Such a special place. Delicious food, a leisurely meal and a great value.
Excellent as always. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
As always, this restaurant doesn’t disappoint. The old school ambiance and attention to detail makes every meal feel special. The wait staff is excellent and well trained. The food is always well prepared and the selection expansive. The wine list is wonderful. I highly recommend dining here to experience what old style dining is about.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Eric and his trainee provided excellent service. We will be back.
For both couples celebrating anniversaries, everything was outstanding, especially the food and the service by Arthur. We’ll be back.
We returned to L’Auberge Chez Francois for our anniversary dinner, and were extremely glad we did. The food, service and attention paid to the diners was outstanding. Although our first experience was not what we had expected, this one more than made up for that. We wish to thank everyone for making it a memorable evening and cannot wait to return again!
We go for our anniversary almost every year. Wonderful dinner! Great service!
We are never disappointed going to this restaurant -- great service and food. Makes your evening special by paying attention to every detail.
What a meal! Served by an excellent waiter in a authentic inn environment with fellow diners who appreciate a quiet place to eat and talk.
Chez Francois never fails to deliver an extraordinary dining experience on every level. First of all, the menu selections are many, and each is prepared to perfection. The service is simply incomparable. And the beauty of the restaurant, both inside and outside is impossible to ignore. Chez Francois is simply my favorite restaurant in the DC area, and has been for decades.
We had Sunday lunch at L'Auberge. For the price of the entree you get an appetizer, salad, and desert included. It is a Lot to eat! perhaps a bit too much as they brought in addition to the above, a complementary soup tasting and a complementary creamed corn dish. The food was well-prepared but the quantity was kinda over-the top. We did enjoy though. Will return.
We had an absolutely amazing time. It was the best food we've ever had and the experience was amazing. Our server brought everything with perfect timing and we ended up being there for 3 hours when it felt like 1. I will absolutely be back.
Food is excellent, rich in flavor, a lot of butter but not greasy. Service is hardy to find in hospitality business, well done.
We sat outside in the garden and it was lovely. The wait staff and food were perfect.
Wonderful menu and outstanding service. We love to sit outside on the patio. Beautiful quiet setting. Service is very attentive. Great wine selection.
As always, the food and service was superb. Ordered the Chateaubriand and La Bouilliabaisse and the Salade de Crevettes. Heavenly flavor. Can't wait to come back next time!
Can not wait to go back
Most romantic restaurant and dining experience ever .
Been there 3 times already and is a must for me and wife when visit DC area.
Great food. Excellently Service. Well organized management.
Wonderful birthday lunch enjoyed by all. Highly recommend lunch as then not too full to sleep well :). As always, the service and the food was impeccable. So happy to have such a lovely restaurant for special occasions.
Dinner was a pleasant experience. Food was good, service was excellent. I wish they had other menu options rather than only the pre fixe four course option, with a high price tag. The seafood dinners we considered were between $82-$86 . You get appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for that price. I can’t eat that much in one sitting, so it’s a lot of waste for me. 2 bites of soup, 2 bites of salad, 1/2 of my fish entre, and barely a bite of my dessert. I could decline the soup, salad and dessert, but then I would be paying $82 for a fish entree. While this is a pleasant dining experience, I can’t justify the price for me. I hope they expand the menu- or at least, make their appetizers and salads available separately and that would have made me very happy. If I could have ordered the soup and salad, it would have been a great dining experience. Try the blueberry mojito- it’s fantastic.
Everything was perfect, except for the man 2 tables away who kept conducting business on the phone.
Went above and beyond with service. Food was great.
We have been to L'Auberge Chez Francois for many years and we can always count on the best all-around experience. It is a very special place for all occasions.
Sunday brunch was delicious. Oysters were fresh and the duck was well served. The year of the wine’s choice did not correspond to the wine list. The sommelier came to our table and when we explained the discrepancy he went back to see if he had any left. He came back to say that they did not and that was it. It should have been handled differently.
We were here for our daughters birthday. The food as always was superb. We had lobster, duck, and beef medallions all which were excellent. The cinnamon ice cream my wife and I had were especially noteworthy. By the way I’d love to get a copy of the 1954 dinner menu that they have posted downstairs. It’s an eye opener
Always an outstanding dining experience!
Awesome experience, as always. NEVER disappoints.
