This is my third trip to this restaurant and I have yet to be disappointed. From the appetizers to the main course to the dessert it is all artfully prepared and incredibly delicious and flavorful.
Simple recipe. I believe that they cook fresh fish and sea food. Not frozen. Servers are kind and nice.
What a pleasure to dine here. The food was tasty and the service was great! I will definitely be back here
We shared 4 appetizers and a bottle of wine. Flavours were great and quantity was perfect to satisfy. Sevice was excellent and our glasses were always filled. A wonderful evening.
Wonderful little spot in Mimico, highly recommend!
They have amazing Spanish dishes that range from Rizzo to to fish to pasta as well as appetizers. Their dessert are also very good!
Always outstanding. Family owned and operated quaint restaurant that truly provides an authentic Castilian culinary experience. The paella is the best in the city.
Chef came to the table to see how everything was, loved that! Amazing! Garlic shrimp = delicious, poached octopus = pretty good, Paella = enough to feed 3. The server was great and the overall experience was great. I could hear the server interacting with people, he knew their names, you could tell they had many regulars. Overall really great.
Delicious mouth watering food
Amazing service
One of our best experiences ever at a restaurant
Fav Spanish in toronto
We come with my husband to spend time together. Food was good. The service was excellent. May recommend for quiet environment and delicious food.
It has been a while since we have been in the neighborhood but it was a joy to reconnect with this restaurant. The food remains amazing.
We shared a seafood paella which had a generous and nicely varied melody of shrimp calamari fish clams mussels etc. Loved that they ensure it is cooked long enough to get some of the rice on the bottom nice a chrunchy from the heat of the pan.
We shared a selection of tapas for the balance of the meal. We let the chef choose them for us. A lovely assortment from light and chilled anchovies with cheese through croquettes and a feature sweat breads. The chef was also flexible to adjust the offering for a food allergy. Thanks so much.
Staff are all very attentive professional and friendly.
Will visit again when we are in town.
Going to La Vinia feels like you are going over to your neighbour’s house who happens to be an excellent cook with a great wine cellar. Warm, intimate and friendly, this has become our go-to spot for special occasions. The food is always excellent, the service authentic and we always walk away feeling well looked after.
This was the best Spanish meal we have had in Toronto. Small and cozy neighbourhood feel, family run, outstanding food and service. We have been wanting to try it out for a while. Were lucky enough to get a reservation for my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed a number of tapas items and a main course. The meal was perfectly paced. Book in advance! You won’t be disappointed.
Awesome as always! Family owned & run. Exceptional in every way!
Exceptional preparation of true Spanish food, food was delicious, the place is nicely decorated and quiet.
Food was absolutely horrendous. Wasnt fresh and wasnt seasoned properly. The crab croquettes werent fresh you can tell they were frozen and just dumped into the fryer. If this place claims to be the closest resemblance to barcelona seafood then I never wanna go to barcelona. We got the paella and it was more rice then seafood. Barely any seafood at all and it all tasted the damn same. Service was good but the food is awful. Never going there again.
Thanks to the high ratings here we tried this place for the first time this week. Although a Wednesday, it was packed. Between 7 and 9 pm we continuously saw tables emptying and filling up again right away - for many good reasons. The service is excellent, the waiter's knowledge about the wines on the menu was at par with European Sommelier level. The chef came out to talk to each person several times. The quality of the food was excellent, both lamb and duck melted in our mouths. You can't escape the insufficient quality of North American dairy products but the outstanding cooking skills compensated for most of it. The Caramel Choc Flan was one of my best chocolate indulgences in years. We will be back!
Excellent in all ways.
Amazing food. Outstanding service.
Very nice place.
Food was excellent. Don’t forget about the daily specials.
Service was top. The chef came out several times to check on us.
Music at very comfortable level. Conversations can be done and normal voice level.
Lightings are very good to read the menu and see your meal.
Will recommend to friends.
The food here is exceptional fantastic and worth every cents they treat u the way I treat yourself at home
Amazing food and wonderful service! Will be coming back here to dine again soon.
It was our first time here, and the food, wine and service were amazing! We shared a number of different delicious tapas, and they offered an amazing Rioja by the glass that wasn’t on the by the glass list. Really wonderful restaurant.
Great service until we wanted to leave. It took too long to pay them. Croquettes best part paella not overly flavourful. Mussels small but tasty. Casual friendly Spanish decor and ambience.
My favorite Tapas location!
Every menu item ordered is very tasty. Friendly staff and management.
Delicious!
Food and service is excellent as always!
First time there. Tables far too close to one another. My wife couldnt even get between them and she’s quite petite. Food was ok. Service was excellent but i probably wouldn’t return.
Wonderful Spanish restaurant on Lakeshore Blvd in the Park Lawn area. Excellent, authentic Spanish cuisine, attentive staff including an owner who regularly strolls the tables to engage directly with his patrons. The wine list is limited all while providing a good cross section of relevant Spanish selections. Reservations are recommended based on our experience: the place is "jumpin".
The one downside is the volume level: this is an intimate space hosting tables quite close to one anther with little in the way of noise dampening elements (curtains, soft walls or other). Be prepared to get to know your fellow patrons and speak loudly.
This place used to be one of my favourite restaurants not just for Spanish food but for all food. The service is amazing but I’ve found the quality of food to have deteriorated a lot since last year when I came. The clams with chorizo and white beans had sand in them and the paella really lacked the soccarat (crust formed at the bottom) which defeats the purpose of having paella in my opinion. Also the squid and chicken were very dry/tough and not seasoned at all. Overall the taste was good, but you would expect more attention to detail from a restaurant of this price range
Weekend get away to Toronto from El Paso , Tx
Very delicious, my favorite
Best paella I’ve tried in years, service was very friendly!!
Food was good, but i found that price for alcohol is very expensive. 50$ for 1 litre of sangria is way too much!
I would recommend, but tell that they need to check if a big group is booked. Our visit was unfortunately spoiled by a very noisy big group of young adults. Granted, the restaurant is small and the surfaces are all hard, so no noise can be dampened. Fernando, the amazing and so proper chef/owner Fernando was aware of our dissatisfaction as we could not talk or hear each other, so he offered us an aperitif after dinner which was very much appreciated. Next time, we'll call the restaurant directly and check if any groups are scheduled. Food is outstanding !!!! Service....terrific!!!
Food was great and service was outstanding. Music was at a good level. The only thing is that I was blindsided by the cost of the dish of the day.
The Paella Valenciana was outstanding as before, and my avocado salad was equally good.
My dining companion enjoyed the organic greens and scampi.
Great place. Great food.
Excellent tapas, wine selection. Overall a great spot in Mimico. Service is great and the chef’s the best!
