Nancy was an amazing server and we adored her service. We will be returning partly to her.
Such a wonderful place! Never fails to impress.
Our overall experience was good, The only complaint I have is we asked for a split on a California cut and the portion they served was ridiculously small. We asked for a piece to be medium well with very little fat and were provided about 4 ounces of meat.
Dinner at Lawry's was outstanding. Terrific food, great service and I love their new patio! Highly recomend it.
The good was delicious, exactly how we would expect it to be.
Loved the outdoor dining. The set up is pretty and romantic.
Lawry's sent me an email saying they now had terrace dining. It was very nice. The tables are far apart with umbrellas, all service staff are wearing mask, shields and gloves. The food was just as good as eating inside and service was still excellent. The have enclosed the front area where you pulled in for valet parking as the terrace. So driving in is only one lane now. There are probably total 25 tables. I would not hesitate to go again, you must have a reservation.
We were delighted with the new setup to eat outside. The street noise was a bit much, but we didn't care. As ever, the food was outstanding and the service was very attentive.
So glad to be able to be served at our favorite restaurant!
Did the outdoor dining. The setup was nice. But they need more shade. They have tables and umbrellas in a fenced area of the parking lot. Umbrellas are small. They need bigger ones or more of them. Also waiting On the sidewalk to be seated was painful they should have some shade for the guests. Food and service was really good as expected. A few tweaks and they are golden!
Covid 19 didn’t stop this restaurant from serving some delicious food in a great outdoor atmosphere. Amazing and highly recommend! Social distancing and safety were a priority from the restaurant. I felt comfortable and safe.
Lawry’s terrace seating is a wonderfully cozy set up, they used the front part of the parking and put a nice wooden fence to close off the dining area. Valet is still there but you make a quick turn into it and they park your car downstairs. I really enjoyed dining al fresco. I hope they continue with even after all this craziness finally ends.
When we arrived the Valet were helpfully into guiding us where to go, and the hostess was sweet and amazing! Our server was friendly, attentive and overall just extraordinary! When our food arrived, it was fresh, steaming hot and wonderful as the evening got chillier, and after I had mentioned we had come in to celebrate my fiancé’s early birthday, our server brought a slice of English trifle cake for my fiancé. I would totally recommend this place to anyone, due to the amazing and attentive waitstaff and the amazing quality of food.
Always a great time!
Found the food much better than the take-out we had previously experienced. The take-out prime rib tended to be dry. the food on the terrace was much better. Glad you re-opened for dining on the premises.
Outdoor seating area was like being at a swap meet. :(
FIONA WAS FANTASTIC! The street noise from La Cienega was loud, but who cares, I got to eat safely at Lawry's!!!
Great as always.
Stephanie was a joy !
The new normal of outdoor dining is going to be an adjustment.
Exceptional service and cuisine from a longtime favorite during covid. Nice table outside by the fountain. Everything was superb from the double bowl cut to the perfect Yorkshire Pudding
Thank you to everyone there
Col Scott Ables
Excellent food and customer service as always!!!
Great Restaurant !!
Even though it was outside dining in the parking lot the food was great and our waiter Ben was very pleasant and made the evening fun
We dined Al Fresco in their parking lot for the first time and it was lovely! The prime rib was delicious!
Delicious prime rib; an illiterate rendering of a trifle that was more akin to a diplomat pudding than anything else.
A very good experience but I would like to point out a few shortcomings.
a. The gentleman at the phone (young man) could use some polishing - he didn't handle my call very well - not very hospitality trained.
b. My server was awesome - you should have him train others.
c. The manager came and interrupted him - without excusing himself... not very polished.
d. The wines - I understand your not letting corkage but do thing there are solutions that you could put in place... we will not be returning until a corkage solution is put in place. The wine isn't going to have any covid on it.. more than we people... and it comes off being opportunistic... charge me $40 corkage - fine... but allow corkage - even if I have to pour my own bottle into your decanter - to avoid germs... whatever (come up with a create solution). Your wine list has never been great but currently it is extra horrible... all the wines are CAMUS or CAMUS like... and that maybe ok for a large portion of your customers but give me something to choose from with restraint... there were no valid options and your wine captain - 100 years in the dessert is not a ZIN its more like a port wine... and so is the malbec and so is the cab... how about a bordeaux by the glass or something that isn't 16% alchohol.
e. Asian busboy - looks like he never had any training - and while he works hard - he has the polish of a buffet employee in vegas.... just a little refinement would help him...
We love lawry's as we (my partner and I) - and we only want to see it continue.
I was so glad to see that they had opened even if only for a few weeks. Its my happy place.
Great food and service. A bit pricey. With the safety precautions in place it was quieter than usual. Distance procedures were excellent.
The overall atmosphere was nice and they do good with social distancing. It still does not meet up to the challenge of a upscale restaurant that wants to charge higher prices for it's food.
And realistically no one should be eating inside yet .
Checking in was simple at the door. Groups were separated outside the restaurant. Ambiance was quiet as there were less tables due to Covid-19. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable as always. Definitely going back again and again.
Clifton was an awesome server. He was friendly despite his face being covered. He handled several other tables and yet was able to tend to us with exceptional service. The food was wonderful and the drinks were well made.
Valet was friendly and personable.
We will definitely visit again.
We came here for date night just to get out of the house and enjoy somewhat of a normal dinner. Yes, the setup is different from before but nothing too extreme or inconvenient. Wearing masks when dressed up seems a bit strange but you get used to it. Eveything, the staff and the setup was well organized and thought out. Valet parking now is optional. There's a host outside the front door to check you in. Also, the bar is closed so you'll have to wait outside until you're seated. Masks are required as soon as you leave your car until you're seated. The tables are spaced farther apart which I actually prefer. Wow, the prime rib is as delicious as ever. We had cream corn and spinach as sides as both were phenomenal. All in all, although things are a bit different, the dinner experience was still excellent. Remember to bring your own pen because the one they provide will be disposed of after use so its wasteful.
Delicious as always!
Always a pleasure. Felt very safe with their new procedures due to Covid. Will not hesitate to go back.
Lawry's is expensive but for the experience, it was worth every penny. With this Covid component, the experience will never be forgotten. Everyone at the restaurant was EXCELLENT!!!
great service , great food my favorite for prime rib when celebrating bithdays and anniversary
Great place and excellent food. Parking was good and
Felt very safe with COVID-19 protocols in place. Missed the table side carving and serving but was well serviced by waiter. Thanks Lawry's.
Was not happy with the baked potatoe, I sent it back it was not hot, overall did not enjoy the second one was ok but it should be hot where you see steam for the extra money I should have stayed with mashed potatoes. Not enough butter.
Everything was in amazing shape even with the extra care necessary for safety. The food was just stunning and the service was impeccable.
I went to Lawry's with my friend for my first dine-in experience of this Covid era. All parties were seated minimum 8 feet apart from one another and the staff wore face shields and face masks. After getting used to the setup, the dining experience was comfortable and the food was good as always. I've missed eating in restaurants.
