The service was exceptional from the second we walked in. Attentive but not intrusive. Excellent playlist playing softly in the background. The food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious.
Absolutely loved this restaurant very cute and quaint French bistro. The food was excellent as was the wine and our customer service couldn’t have been better. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend the cauliflower steak it’s the best anywhere
Valentines date night the next night. Our experience has been that on Valentines Day the restaurants are busy and service is not the best. So we had a Valentines date night on Saturday the 15th. The food was delicious & the service was great. Le Bistro has a fine reputation for great French food. So we knew we would enjoy it our friends love it too. We had filets that we cook correctly &
Melted in our mouths. We had different appetizers but we all enjoyed them. We loved the desserts too. We will go there again for sure.
The food was amazing. 6 course valentines special that did not disappoint
It was Valentine's Day and Le Bistro had a Pro Fix menu. I was underwhelmed by all but my filet which was delicious. My partner has the lamb and thought it was delicious... The rest of the meal was was just ok. If I had paid $50 a head verse $85 I would be rating this slightly higher. I waste hoping for some innovation, something to challenge my taste buds.. Service was strange for as many as 3 different people would come to the table to ask how things are. I thought there ambiance looked tired and old. The noise level was good. I am giving this 3 totally stars. If based just on the entee, it is 5 stars, the appetizers and desserts get 3 stars..while good, they weren't great.
Food was excellent. Substitutions were made to accommodate my gluten free diet and were very good. Staff was nice and attentive. Whatever procedure is in place for servicing tables seems chaotic. Our appetizer arrived with gluten, they couldn't remember what wine we ordered for refills and they missed the palate cleanse serving in the valentine's menu. We would definitely visit again because the food was wonderful.
This is a Diamond in the rough for sure - delicious food and great menu. Fabulous wine choices as well💞
Love this place, always a perfect dinner with amazing service and never a hassle to change an option on the menu. The Chef is fabulous and surprisingly great wine menu. No need to bring your own.
Always fantastic as usual. The best of the best! Always my first choice for special occasions. For that quaint and cozy ambiance with the best food and service.
Well prepared, well served
Very impressed. The food tastes as good as it looks (beautiful presentation). Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will be back for more fine wine and food.
We only wish there were more restaurants of this style and quality. Quaint, warm, welcoming. Knowledgable staff, great food and fine wines. So worth the visit. To me Le Bistro is the way a restaurant should be. It's very authentic and honest. The chef is obviously very well trained. We appreciate all Le Bistro offers and look forward to many more visits. Thank you Andy and Elin
Very weak restaurant. Friday night there was nobody. Would never come there again. very poor
Why are you saying the food was 1 star when you said the fish was excellent on TripAdvisor. If your young daughter did not like her food why didn't you ask for something else? Sorry you didn't like the restaurant. We would have done anything to have made you happy had you indicated you were not pleased. Yes, sometimes we are busy and sometimes we are slow, it's what happens.
What a hidden gem in a strip mall in Lighthouse Point, Florida. Don’t let the location fool you ... definitely world class cuisine by michelin chef Andy Trousdale. We were lucky to have a friend visiting from France and he found Le Bistro. We had a fantastic meal. Foie gras, scallops, green salad, escargot, an unbelievably delicious mushroom soup and main course: Steak Diane and Duck. All superb ! And for dessert, the pièce de résistance, chocolate soufflé ... definitely worth the wait for that one.
Wonderful to see you and look forward to seeing you again. Thank you.
Dined at Le bistro before, always consistently amazing.
Always consistent. Very pleasant service. Will return. This was our fourth visit
We were visiting from NYC. The food was spectacular! On par with the finest food in Manhattan. Well done!
Le Bistro is always a great option for dinner. While not the cheapest restaurant in town, the food is consistently excellent. We’ve never had a bad meal and visit on a regular basis. This past weekend, the chef’s special of oxtail poutine was so ridiculously good, I found myself ordering a second portion. Our usual choice of the filet mignon was excellent as per usual. Great food. Great team. Love going here.
Rack of Lamb was fantastic! As was the Beet and Goat Cheese salad. I normally eat very little but I ate EVERYTHING. Everything is ‘home’ chef made. Chef Andy’s attention to detail shows in each finished dish. My favorite restaurant in any city.
Simply a wonderful French dinner in great surroundings. The owners are directly involved with both the service and preparation of the dinner and it shows. So glad to support a privately owned business, had a wonderful evening.
Lovely and intimate restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Very relaxed and pampered experience.
The food was fantastic from first course to last spoon! This was our fourth time there and it still feels like our first. My wife and I also really love the romantic atmosphere and very personal service. Andy and Elin treated us like family. Such a wonderful dining experience! Five stars!
Le Bistro is located in a small strip mall in Lighthouse Point, Florida. But don’t let the location fool you. It is a first-class dining experience all the way.
I’d ordered a Thanksgiving dinner – to go, as I wanted to eat at home with family that night but didn’t really have any prep time – from them that was absolutely delicious. Based on that, my friends and I (eight in total) decided to try out the restaurant’s regular menu. There was no problem in making a reservation for a large party.
From the moment we came in, we were treated to a warm and friendly dining experience. Elin, who is co-owner of the restaurant along with her husband Andy (the head chef), went out of her way to make us feel as if we were dining in her home rather than a restaurant. The ambiance is cozy and warm. We never had to ask for water or bread – our waiter, A.J., had an instinct for knowing when refills were needed. He and Elin were chatty and fun the whole night. Even the often-busy Chef Andy found time to come out and talk with us.
And the food! Rave reviews for the escargot appetizer. To a man, everyone loved the perfectly balanced garlic pesto sauce which accompanied it. We each tried a separate main dish, and found ourselves sharing. I had the most tender and flavorful rack of lamb, but tasted the yummy beef Wellington and the steak Diane. All served with plentiful sides, and cooked exactly to order. Added to that the delicious desserts – try the apple tart with vanilla ice cream! – and we all left full and happy.
Le Bistro will definitely be a regular in our restaurant rotation from now on.
This was a thanksgiving dinner. The salad was good, but the main dish, the turkey plate,
was dry, tough, no gravy! Very poor. We were extremely disappointed more so since
it was so expensive! The dessert was barely ordinary. We are not coming back to this
Thank you for dining with us on Thanksgiving. Please contact us privately to discuss your experience. Thank you.
Thanksgiving dinner was awful. Dry turkey, dry mashed potatoes, tasteless gravy and a cheap dessert. Service was pure confusion and then poor.
We are sorry to learn of your dissatisfaction. Please contact us privately to discuss. Thank you.
Just stopped in out of the blue for a meal and glad we did. The apps we had were outstanding (house salad and chorizo truffle mash potatoes), ordered second chorizo mash they were so good! Homemade bread was delicious! We had Cod in mushroom sauce with vegetables, yummie! We will definitely be back.
Reviews were off the charts so we gave it a try; frankly cannot reconcile our experience with the reviews. Only one server working on a Saturday evening, very limited menu, no beer or alcohol available.
Bread comes out; about the size of a dinner roll, cut into 4 pieces for our table of 4. Food presentation was nice and dishes (mostly) tasty. About 10 total people eating at 7-8pm Sat night. Hmmmm....one and done.
All our menu items are prepared from scratch including our house made bread. Bread baskets are simply replenished upon request, as was the case at your table - multiple replenishments. Our service, fine food, wine & beer menus are ideal for a quaint boutique neighborhood bistro, with seasonal changes. Your party enjoyed both wine & beer from our lists. We are happy to know you found the food presentation nice & dishes tasty. Same location 19 years with busy nights & not so busy nights.
Exquisite preparation of food. Always a first class meal with first class service. With all the cookie cutter, chain establishments, Le Bistro is an absolute gem with a personalized experience every time.
Excellent food and great service!!! You cannot ask for more.
When you have single glass wines on your wine list and you would like to taste before you buy and the answer you get is "the bottle isn't open yet so you can't try it", is a problem.
It would have nice to know that the appetizer crab special was fried. Had we been told we wouldn't have ordered it.
Overpriced restaurant with a nice atmosphere, but very disappointed in our first experience, given how long le bistro has been open.
The restaurant was empty, as in no one else at 8pm. The reason was "everyone was watching the Democratic debate". Really!!!!
Thank you for your patronage. The requested wines were sampled. Not practical for us to open multiple wine bottles for tasting during off season. Seasonal soft shell crab was classically prepared. Steak Diane, Hand-cut fries, the very best steelhead trout, plates were licked! Our prices are fair compared to similar boutique restaurants that prepare and serve top quality products. Chit chat joke made about quiet night and televised debate. Please try us for our special dining promotion Aug/Sept
Small space which was exceedingly quiet on a Thursday night. Friendly and efficient service. Nice menu—traditional French with an even-handed flair—no too fussy or pretentious. Mushroom soup was absolutely “to die for”. Everyone left satisfied and happy. Highly recommended, will definitely return.
It was such a pleasure to serve you! Thank you so much for coming. Glad you enjoyed everything. Look forward to seeing you again soon.
Excellent food, the server was perfect, not too "in your face" not too invisible. Just right.
Great food and service. Nothing syscoed in. Needed gem in mediocre scene in this area.
The food was delicious. Fresh, and very creatively and artistically prepared
I had made the reservation for 8:30, we were running late so I called the restaurant to let them know. I got a friendly response “no problem”. Earlier in the day I called to check if they have soufflé for desert, I spoke with a lovely lady and she told me they might be able to make us a chocolate soufflé. I ordered the lamb chops, they were good (not great). My husband ordered the steak special, it was ok but tiny and very thin for the price. We didn’t think that the soufflé was an option at this time, so we ordered the apple pastry with ice cream (sorry I don’t remember the actual name for it). To our surprise, I believe it was Elin the owner that came to our table and told us the chef is making us the chocolate soufflé. She remembered! Wow.. how wonderful!! The soufflé was delicious and made up for the meal being.. well, not what we expected. I would definitely like to give LeBistro another try.
We had the Beef Wellington for two--it was perfection. Recommend to anyone. That you to AJ our server.
Unbelievably delicious food and outstanding service, as always. Love Le Bistro! :-)
Always a hit, one of our favorite gems that isn't too busy on holidays. Excellent food, phenomenal service.
We had the Passover special, with a Seder plate accompanied by the explanation. Food was excellent - some Jewish items with a French accent and some purely French.
We were introduced to Le Bistro by my daughter who has dined at their Passover Seder for the past few years.
It was everything she said it would be and more. From the Seder plate through the entire feast a definite 5* experience.
We will definitely return for dinner with our friends. Thank you for a beautifully presented meal.
