An occasional meal with friends was our reason for our visit. My husband and I eat here sometimes and had recommended it to them. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks and thoroughly enjoyed our meals-

Had been looking for a special venue that offered wine pairings with multiple courses. This fitted the bill superbly.

I have dine here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed with the quality, presentation and taste of the food. This visit was no exception. The staff are very friendly, efficient and courteous. The atmosphere during lunch was peaceful and relaxing. A great all round eating experience.

It's my second time at Le Bouchon. I took some friends for a birthday treat.
We first had coctails at the bar and we were allowered to take our time while choosing our three course meals from the menu.
The staff were very attentive & pleasant . The Food was excellent as always.
I had the millefeuille for starter followed by the crakling pork with vegetables and the crepe for dessert. Excellent!
My only complain was that I asked for the message 'Happy Birthday Jane 'to be written on the dessert plate of my friend. The waitress asked out loud who was Jane which spoiled the surprise which was a great shame . Some subtetly would have be nice.
We still had all a pleasant time in a relaxing atmosphere.
I will come go again without hesitation.

We had a first class experience at Le Bouchon. The service was faultless, immediate, friendly, relaxing but very professional. The food got better and better with each course, and I would say the highest quality meal we have had for some considerable time. We found the selection of specialty Gins particularly good. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Excellent as always and so glad the magician is back! Really adds something to a Sunday afternoon lunch. We’ve always found the staff to be more than accommodating and although it’s not necessarily a restaurant designed for children they always make an effort to make them feel welcome. Mine love the bar staff making them mocktails

A lovely dinner with friends. We started with cocktails and gin all of which were delicious!
We chose from a varied menu and all enjoyed our food. Sadly no room for dessert!
The service was excellent and we weren't hurried along which allowed us to enjoy a good catch up with our friends. All in all a rather lovely evening. Thank you.

I am a regular visitor to Le Bouchon and though I frequently eat elsewhere this is by far the best place in a very large area. For a special occasion or to simply feel special this is the place to be .Scallops superb lamb and a spiced rum and coke ! it gets no better than that ; looking forward to returning.

Very good service and food, as ever. Well spaced courses. Welcoming staff. But feel it is wrong to just add 10% service charge to the bill, makes for an uncomfortable end to a very lovely meal, deciding whether to leave the charge or cancel it and leave a direct tip. Please allow diners to chose, not by default.

This was our 4th visit to dine, plus we attended group meal for a Granddaughter's birthday, and on this occasion we chose the early Valentine Dinner for two:

With exception of the birthday gathering, to date the high end restaurant standard plainly being attempted or targeted has not been achieved. The whole place is very smart and glitzy but there seems to be weakness with both staff numbers and their training, as well as in the food standard.
Previously to this meal we have had to reject food twice, a) it not matching the menu and b) for being unable to taste or distinguish what food was. On this occasion the food although tiny portions, tasted very good, but to add a single non inclusive item onto what was a fixed price menu was annoying and confusing, and when we asked the extra cost should we choose it, the (I think) Woman Manager had to go to find out? Also on this occasion, there seemed to be too many staff all rushing about but still no co-ordination in delivery of food and or drinks? We had finished our starters by the time our wine arrived, and at the end of the main course, when we were invited by friends in the next room to have a liqueur, we ordered these before our sweet arrived but never saw the liqueurs so had to apologise, making an excuse later! And as far as we could tell the place was not completely full at any time up until we left. And I also believe Le Bouchon Management are aware of these weaknesses too.

The ambience is great. From the red carpet on you know you’ll have a great evening. A nice bar with a great atmosphere starts dinner off nicely, in fact you might just want to start in the bar! The menu itself is varied and imaginative and if you had to sum it up in one word then that word would be “Flavour!” The flavours are superb. It’s that simple. I can’t wait for the next time.

Have eaten here on quite a few occasions and dining at le Bouchon is always a good experience. Ambience is excellent and service is attentive without being overbearing. Menus are varied and change frequently. Wine list is affordable and by the glass is good value. Only slight concern is that it is not always clear what accompanies the main dishes. Inclusion of a vegetable would be welcomed. But one can always ask when ordering.

If I’m honest I was disappointed. As always, the venue and staff were very good. I was treating my family (8 of us) to a meal to celebrate my retirement. We booked Sunday lunch as that was the time that everyone could easily make. My first grizzle was that our round table was so close to the next that every time one of the waiting staff passed behind me to see to another table I was jogged. I pulled my chair in as far as I possibly could but it still happened occasionally until the table behind me vacated.

Our starters and desserts were very good. But most us had the roasts for the main meal. I accept that culinary preferences may tend towards rare beef. But this was red throughout and bleeding onto the plate. Fair enough if that’s how it’s going to come, but when people order it they should be warned how rare it is. Furthermore, it was noted that although it was tender, it was flavourless. My son left all of his, because of the rareness but also because the meat was surrounded by a huge glob of fat in the middle, very off putting. I had the pork. Again, extremely fatty. Lastly the Yorkshire’s were dreadful.. huge and looked spectacular, but they must have been dragged out from a prior event - so dry that when they were cut they just crumbled to dust. The roast potatoes and veg were very good.

Overall very disappointing: We had 3 bottles of wine and a couple of other drinks and 4 liqueurs between us but for £370-odd I would have expected a lot more quality to the main course. I have never had anything other than a superb meal at Lebouchon before, but have never had Sunday lunch there before. I won’t be returning for Sunday lunch.

We had early sitting New Years Eve, food was very good, but not enough of it, the portions were less than Noveau Cuisine even the Lamb whilst just enough needed some small portion of potato, to charge extra for coffee was a bit mean. We will carry on going as the quality of food is excellent , they need to look again at portion size.
