Its just a great restaurant, food service all 5 Star
We will return
Always a good place to have dinner. Great food and service- wine list could improve a bit to complement the food.
Awesome , wonderful service , beautiful food .. perfect
Consistent excellent food always . The new additions to menu were excellent
Great evening, great atmosphere and amazing food with perfect friendly service. Try the beet salad for starters and roasted Thai sea bass for mains. Finish off with the honeycomb ice cream. Would go back just for that!
The most charming staff in London and the best atmosphere
Perfect evening with lovely food and vibrant atmosphere. Thank you
Sublime food. Excellent service. Buzzy atmosphere without being too loud.
Definitely not as good and polished as usual.
I love this restaurant for its laid back elegance. Wonderful attentive service. I ordered salmon fillet and have to admit was the largest piece of salmon I have ever been served and it was delicious.
My three friends also enjoyed their dinner too.
Second time I have visited restaurant and the will be back.
We love this place.
Very good food and friendly staff!! Would definitely visit again.
Food and ambiance very good as always. Dessert ginger cake not very good. Table service was weak. Mixing up water. Hard to find someone to pay. Multiple servers. Just weak and ungracious.
Le Caprice can always be relied upon. Excellent food, wine and service and our visitor from Hong Kong was delighted.
Excellent food and service, live piano music added to the ambience.
First time here but not the last. Very attentive staff without going over the top. Food delicious and look forward to going again.
First visit here. Good menu and I could have chosen at least 5 options from each course! Always a good sign. Only let down for me were the chips which were bog standard.
Rare to find a spot that gets it all right! This is a don’t miss! From the moment you walk in, it’s simply a lovely experience! All service wasn’t point and the food was made with care. Try the squash soup and the tiger prawn appetizer! The salmon for a main course has an Asian fusion flavor. Delicious!
Live jazz on Sunday nights was outstanding. Food perfect. Marvellous Art Deco rooms. Can’t recommend enough!
Appallingly poor + rude service. I arrived at the restaurant, showed the hostess my opentable reservation, and she sat me at a table. 2 min later, however, she came back saying she couldn't fine my reservation and accused me of showing her one from a different date. She then very rudely demanded I get up and return to the front of house, saying they were full and she wouldn't be able to seat me. I calmly made it clear that I wasn't leaving, and eventually the manager came over and sat me and my guest at a small table that was 3 feet from the piano, making it a very noisy meal. I'm a regular customer at this restaurant and eat there probably 8-10 times per year, yet they treated me like a complete undesirable. Worst service I've had in a very long time and really not cool :(
Dined here many times and it is always first class. Both my guests love
the place, one of them being a well known person in the music industry. He dines here
much more than I do. Will certainly book again for our next get together
This is simply put our favorite restaurant in London. We always feel cared for with good steady food, after which we’re ready to face the world...we have been coming here for decades so this is ‘our’ place.
Irina, thé maître d is always charming as is the entire staff. Piano player keeps the cool vibe gong.
I always feel like home here. The only difference is that the food is better!
Our favorite restaurant in London. Always a pleasure to dine at Le Caprice! Interesting dishes flawlessly prepared and the scallops are to die for!
the food was amazing. Three of us cost £200 roughly which is a bit on the pricey side but the food was lovely so it comes hand in hand. The staff were pleasant and live piano was a nice touch. We went early in the evening so there were only a few tables so was nice and peaceful however if it was packed then it may be overcrowded and noisy.
It was a lovely start to our evening before we went for a show. Would definitely recommend to people heading out to that area or going to a show.
Lovely restaurant and service. Ideal for a romantic dinner or special event.
We have been going to Le Caprice for more than 30 years and sad to say, it has changed!!! Last few times it has got poorer and today it was not up to the stand and it should be. I had their classic fish and chips and it was not great... over all batter oily and more batter then fish!! . My husband ‘S steak tartan was not well mixed and not up to normal standard. Service use to be impeccable but now, even a simple drink order they cannot get right. May be a ‘bad day’ but very sad that we may not return?
Awesome. Sincere friendly staff, great food, will definitely recommend. Oh, the guy playing the piano was very talented too
Very rushed dinner not relaxing. Poor vegetarian choice. No one asked if everything was ok which it wasn’t so we paid the bill and left. Would not return. No customer care.
A 100% great process ; welcome , go to table , order drinks , order food . Excellent cuisine , attentive service , partner very impressed . A special birthday memento served free with desert .Bill also impressive but all in all well worth it !
This is the ultimate “go-to” place for excellent food combined with
Super efficient service and a classy vibe.
In all truth I have never had a bad meal here, and I always get the impression that if you were unhappy with something, they would politely and promptly deal with it for you.
It’s a great place for a celebration too!
My favorite London restaurant! It has a few faults but it still beats all of the rest. I come to London once a year and always find Le Caprice doing a better job than the many new places that have cropped up. You are warmly greeted and always have a good time. The piano adds a nice touch. The senior staff seems to still be around which is important. If you are by yourself, the bar is the perfect place to have dinner.
At these high end Ivy type places it’s all about the ambience and service, isn’t it. Erm, no. Actually the food, whilst simple, is delicious.
Food was delicious. Gooseberry dessert was to die for.
Lunch at Le Caprice is always fun and it was nice to be able to sit on the small terrace despite it being noisy from the building work opposite. Tuna tartare with plantain chips were delicious and the octopus tender and accompanied by a piquant chorizo arancini. Service great the only shame being that of course the terrace is used by the smokers - vile as their smoke drifted over to us - give them a chair somewhere else please
Really great again, great staff and fab ambience, i just wish we could make our own decisions on service charges but apart from that - great !
I am a regular and would say that this is one of finest restaurants in London. However, on this occasion the staff allowed a group of drunken thugs to stay far too long. They were loud, obnoxious and threatening. When a customer asked them to behave they nearly killed him. All very unsettling. I will return but staff need to be better trained to deal with that sort of behaviour.
The maitre'd was outstanding. We have been enjoying this restaurant on our trips to London for many years.
