Very rushed dinner not relaxing. Poor vegetarian choice. No one asked if everything was ok which it wasn’t so we paid the bill and left. Would not return. No customer care.

This is the ultimate “go-to” place for excellent food combined with
Super efficient service and a classy vibe.
In all truth I have never had a bad meal here, and I always get the impression that if you were unhappy with something, they would politely and promptly deal with it for you.
It’s a great place for a celebration too!

My favorite London restaurant! It has a few faults but it still beats all of the rest. I come to London once a year and always find Le Caprice doing a better job than the many new places that have cropped up. You are warmly greeted and always have a good time. The piano adds a nice touch. The senior staff seems to still be around which is important. If you are by yourself, the bar is the perfect place to have dinner.

At these high end Ivy type places it’s all about the ambience and service, isn’t it. Erm, no. Actually the food, whilst simple, is delicious.

Lunch at Le Caprice is always fun and it was nice to be able to sit on the small terrace despite it being noisy from the building work opposite. Tuna tartare with plantain chips were delicious and the octopus tender and accompanied by a piquant chorizo arancini. Service great the only shame being that of course the terrace is used by the smokers - vile as their smoke drifted over to us - give them a chair somewhere else please

I am a regular and would say that this is one of finest restaurants in London. However, on this occasion the staff allowed a group of drunken thugs to stay far too long. They were loud, obnoxious and threatening. When a customer asked them to behave they nearly killed him. All very unsettling. I will return but staff need to be better trained to deal with that sort of behaviour.

It is a good restaurant, however it is not exceptional.

The food is not particularly imaginative. But it is really good.
The starters were rather standard. The mains were very good. The deserts were delicious.

When it comes to decor, the restaurant definitely maximises the space. The tables are very close to each other. The place gets loud even though everyone is well behaved. This wasn't particularly nice.

The service was good. One waiter was a bit odd. But the manager was nice.

I don't think that I will go back. But rest assured that it is not a bad place. It's good. Not fab.

Always predictably brilliant. From the moment you get greeted through to paying your bill, it is all great. Toilets are clean, menu balanced, service attentive, a breath of fresh air in the landscape of celebrity eateries.

This was a brunch and basically the waiter brought the wrong order/forgot the smoothie and then when he brought the smoothie it tasted pretty awful.

Lovely ambience sitting in the terrace but overall a disappointment

Decided to dine here to celebrate a very special birthday with my family.
On arrival, the staff did not make us feel welcome and, indeed, were very businesslike - which in any other situation might have been acceptable.
The restaurant itself was very ‘compact’ and the staff all seemed to be dashing around and frenetic in their activity.
Having to ask for side plates was unacceptable - where should I have put the bread that was proferred? - and the food when it arrived was not of the standard I would have expected. The waitress practically argued with me when I advised her that she was putting the meal down in front of me that I hadn’t ordered, excuse me!!!
The lamb dish that I had ordered was very tasty and was the only saving grace in a decidedly mediocre experience.
I feel the food is expected to be of a good standard but what makes a memorable experience is the level of service. A smile, remembering who ordered what and basically providing a level of service commensurate with the value of the bill paid is the minimum requirement. We went elsewhere for drinks!

As always le Caprice food and ambiance is superb. Unfortunately on this occasion, service was not up to the usual standards. As a member of the Ivy Club, we regularly dine at most of the sister restaurants who are renowned for their food, service, quality and ambiance.
Today we felt rushed, one of our wine glasses was taken away before we had the chance to order more, spoons were haphazardly placed on our table (our servers were distracted I feel from the growing crowd of diners). The servers were visibly rushing around between tables and felt that on this occasion it was all a bit chaotic. After we left the restaurant we went straight to the Ivy Club for an after dinner aperitif. This will not deter us from dining at le Caprice, it’s just disappointing that our evening was soured by this experience.

Le Caprice is one of the best restaurants in London. The food and service is excellent.
The menu is not extensive, but is of the highest quality. A couple more meat options
would be appreciated.

We had a wonderful time at Le Caprice on Friday night for my Mother's Birthday.
The waiters were extremely attentive without the feeling you were being rushed. The starter, main and dessert were all wonderful and the wine list extensive and good value for the quality.
The buzzy atmosphere with a piano in the background made it a really enjoyable evening.
Would definitely return!

Very smart restaurant with friendly, attentive staff. Requested a quiet table because of partners hearing impairment and were given a nice table in a small alcove, just perfect. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Thankyou Le Caprice.
