Le Garrick - Covent Garden
Authentique Cassoulet de Toulouse
Traditional dish from Toulouse: duck confit, pork belly and Toulouse sausage with beans
Slow cooked beef marinated in red wine served with new potatoes, vegetables and lardons
Onglet Steak Frites
Fabulous food and service! Would highly recommend.
The food was perfect ! The service was warming, friendly and overall amazing !!! Definitely coming back there
My wife and I love French food and Le Garrick was no disappointment. Service was fantastic and the food even better!!
Friendly staff. Very good food. Reasonably priced. We’ll be back!
Went for a birthday dinner and also to meet our daughter during her break and they were very accommodating even though she could only join us for a drink in the end and also made a fuss of the birthday boy
The best Mussels I’ve had in my life! Such friendly and attentive Waiters & Waitresses, intimate low lighting in the basement. I very much recommend - the West Ends best kept secret!
Friendly and efficient service, very reasonable prices, tasty food, and right in the heart of covent garden. What more can you ask for?
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Food was rich and you could taste the well thought of flavours of France with every mouthful. The cheese fondue and the duck confit were out of this world. Le Garrick has an amazing atmosphere with different areas inside and out to suit your mood. Dominika was the best host, you couldn’t ask for more friendlier and welcoming staff.
THe burger was ab fab. So tasty not the average type of burger at all!
Bread portions were very small, so were the cokes, food was fine, service was good.
Had a lovely pre theatre meal! Really reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere and great service!
Thank you for an excellent meal and an amazing experience for my wife's birthday. The staff sang happy birthday to her and made a fuss of us.
The food was excellent and I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant for both its food and the very welcoming, polite and helpful staff.
Fantastic meal with great service and ambience. We will be back
Went for a pre theatre menu but was overcharged the full al a carte menu.
Food was delicious just check the bill before paying.
A delicious meal in an authentic French restaurant!
Had a delicious lunch here, in a relaxed and comfy atmosphere.
Will definitely return.
We sat outside and just had a couple of starters. Everything was beautifully executed and the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely going back in the cooler weather to taste the atmosphere inside.
I go to this place because I really like being in a booth - we are a noisy lot and it just doesn't matter when you are seated like this - and the place is quirky and clean. My four friends with me hadn't been before and liked it from the start and will definitely go back, just like me. Cheers LG!
Best French meal I have had outside France. We all had the mussels and thoroughly enjoyed them.
We always enjoy our visits to Le Garrick. If we can't visit France itself, there is a little corner of France in Covent Garden. Thank you.
Authentic French food at a good price and in a relaxed and charming atmosphere. A warm welcome from helpful staff - what more could you ask?
Lovely food, great service - felt like we were in France!
We went to Le Garrick as a table of 4 to celebrate after a university graduation. The food was brilliant and the setting was perfect for a family celebration.
The staff were enthusiastic and ever so helpful.
We’ll definitely be coming back again - we need to try the whole menu!!
Nice eve and good food but disappointing lack of ambience and celebration considering it was promoted as a Bastille celebration. Food was tasty although i was left with the most awful indigestion that night. Sadly despite having enjoyed this restaurant a few times previously I was left disappointed on this occasion.
We got the Bastille day special offer of 3 courses for £30.
I only have to say: not worth it .
The French Onion soup was delicious, that's great
But the coq au vin was truly disappointing: it was basically bland and boring, the worst we've ever had . We had coq au vin several times in different restaurants so we know what we're talking about.
the creme brûlée was tasty but in a micro portion for somebody on a severe calorie restriction diet : I wasn't paying for that.
The wine choices were good though, but you don't make wine, and I think that's a good thing.
Amazing food, fantastic value for money and lovely décor along with very pleasant service
Visiting Le Garrick is like walking through a portal into France. It is true Bistro chic. Food, wine and service are impeccably French, as one only dreams about, and rarely actually finds in France itself. We were there to celebrate la fête National, Quatorze Juillet. Made very welcome. The set menu was excellent, the wine damn fine and very reasonably priced ( for a Mersault). Like a true Bistro you can eat and drink well and still cut your cloth to fit your pocket. I have been going there on and off for over two decades. On Wednesday’s evidence I simply have not been going often enough. Va, Va, Va mes amis😎🥂🍾🍷🍽🍷
We keep going back to Le Garrick (despite decreasing food quality) because it WAS one of our favourite places to eat for many years.
Firstly, the place was pretty CRAMMED. There's no way proper social distancing was in place. We were PINGED soon after and are still self-isolating, and I'm 100% certain it was because we had to SQUEEZE BETWEEN TABLES to get in and out or to use the bathroom (at zero social distancing)
We ordered drinks, and were ready to order food (time constrained) the waiter said 'back in a minute' and disappeared for 20+ minutes. The martini I ordered was unpleasant. The red wine I ordered was not much better. I thought I'd give the duck confit another go (awful last time) but it was still poor - basically way over-cooked to the extent that it was like cardboard in texture.
The one positive was that my wife ordered a special (chicken dish) that looked freshly cooked and appetising. Recommendation: Try the daily specials.
Le Garrick will always have a place in my heart...but...I'm going to call time out and will probably never return, which makes me sad.
Wonderful staff. Delicious food. Beautiful ambiance. Fantastic night... What more could you want?
Ideally located and good value pre theatre menu - lovely tender steak and tasty lemon tart. Onion soup was delicious but carry two packs minimum of chewing gum if you are on a date.
Ok - so 25 years in London and first time at Le Garrick... big mistake! This is truly a London Gem, fabulous simple French food, cooked perfectly with lots of intimate nooks and spaces to enjoy a meal with friends or a couple. Gentiana made us so welcome, as did everyone. Loved it, and we were there at a weird time 4pm, but felt like it was normal, and the citron tart? Easily the best I've ever tasted. Go there now, these places are gold dust!
The service here was amazing- perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing! Probably the best I’ve seen in London. The food is also excellent, this place is a really great French bistro in the heart of London!
The food was delicious. Only thing i didn't like was the space.. It was too small.. The tables were too close to each other.
Great atmosphere in this fun underground west end hide away. Thanks to our host Gentiana for taking great care of us over dinner.
The perfect place for a pre-theatre meal. The service was extremely friendly, quick and efficient. Very good value for money and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be going back - highly recommended!
Excellent as always. One of the few restaurants I’ve actually missed over the past year. It was so nice to be back.
Post Covid get together of friends
Went there for a birthday and the staff is really lovely. I felt like I was back in France! They even treated us some free shots to celebrate the evening! Highly recommended!
Great service, great food and a lovely atmosphere!
A wonderful evening; fantastic food, impeccable and unobtrusive service and just a superb all round experience. It was our first visit to Le Garrick but it certainly won’t be our last!!!
