Amazing! We really enjoyed our dinner in Le Garrick. Perfect for a birthday surprise!
Lovely friendly staff made us very welcome, good French food which was good value and delicious. Made my birthday celebration meal special with a complimentary birthday desert, drink, candles and singing! Great service and good value.
It was all lovely! Thanks
What can I say? From the moment we arrived, Gentriana was the perfect host. A perfect pre-theatre dining experience for our family group of 7. Thank you everyone at Le Garrick!
Le Garrick is an easy option in the area. The service is quick and the food tasty - though not haute cuisine. It is also reasonable value. The ambience has a "student" feel to it - mainly in the basement. The noise and choice of music leaves much to be desired.
Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Delicious food. What more could you want.
Atmospheric French bistro in centre of Covent Garden. Great value and very friendly and welcoming.
Lovely quirky place - good reliable food. Great busy atmosphere
Always happy friendly welcome, lots of laughter, delicious food. Because it's downstairs it is quite noisy but equally the tables are cleverly arranged, it is not intrusive. It is well priced not cheap but very good value. Have tried other restaurants in the area but regularly come back here.
Lovely evening with Friends at Le Garrick... great for French traditional dishes!!
This is a very cosy restaurant with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food is very good and the service exceptionally attentive and friendly.
Very good restaurant. Been several times and never disappointed. Good location and not too expensive. Good French food and genuine French staff.
Frankly the food was not as good as I expected from such a well known restaurant. We chose the cafe gourmand (I think that was what it was called) for dessert. It was simply disappointing and also simply not worth the cost
An authentic and traditional French bistro in Covent Garden. Friendly, efficient and unobtrusive service. I have been may times and it has never disappointed. The food is uncomplicated and all the better for it.
Very busy but service OK if a little slow considering we were told we only had 2 hours before we sat down. Food again OK but not great. Glad I visited but won't rush back.
We are three ladies who are probably older than your usual clientele, but we had a lovely evening. The waitress was charming, the food excellent, the ambience just right, and the music not too loud. The wine as always we felt was expensive, but it is everywhere
We had the pre-theatre menu. Food and service were excellent.
Excellent service and meal. Very pleasant surroundings as well.
Would definitely recommend for any occasion.
Everything outstanding except the glaces. Should have ordered cheese or creme brulee.
Excellent pre-theatre menu - speedy service, tasty steak/frites and good value.
Have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The service was excellent, as was the food. The staff were efficient, polite and a credit to Le Garrick. Great atmosphere for pre or post theatre dining. Top marks all round.
Good French food served by French natives. A very good ambiance
The food was delicious but a bit faster service would be really good. The staff was very nice and helpful though.
Excellent food and service. Couldn’t fault it. Waitress very friendly and helpful
Le Garrick is a long-time favourite of ours and we are always very well looked after. Waiting staff now seems to change frequently, perhaps due to Brexit, but service level remains high. We prefer to be seated on ground floor but there is undoubtably better ambience at basement level. I can't recall we've ever had a poor meal and the food didn't diappoint on this occasion. Frog's legs were available as a 'special' and were really good. Nowadays, we can't manage a dessert and, in truth, those on offer don't really appeal. We'll be back.
Great place to have pre theatre meal. The food was well cooked and delicious and the staff were friendly and gave us great service
Definitely recommend and will go back.
Lovely ambience, knowledgable and friendly table staff and great French food. Happy to switch our group from upstairs to a downstairs alcove (I knew we were going to be a loud group!) and the waiting staff were both attentive and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. We will return.
What makes a restaurant excellent is the staff. You were outstanding in every way: smiling, helpful, creative and entertaining. When also the food and wine were superb, it became an unforgettable evening. Thanks!
It was a great place to have a pre-theatre supper. Easy to book online. Service & food was great.
Been here many times over the years for pre/post theatre, the service is always charming and attentive. Reasonable menu although the set meal seems to offer less choice than some restaurants. Calves liver special was excellent, onion soup could have been hotter and seemed more watery than I remembered. Not the cheapest option for a pre-theatre dinner, however Central London prices and the proximity to theatres makes it an agreeable choice and certainly It feels very authentic French.
Excellent food, wine and atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended.
A great place for a birthday celebration - lovely atmosphere and incredible food.
Outstanding .... As always this restaurant goes over and above the call of Duty. Amazing Staff, Amazing atmosphere and very well priced. We've been coming for a few years and never been let down. This last weekend was for my Mum's 60th Birthday and the team went all out ... reduced her to tears (In a good way)
Sat outside the kitchen door so could see inside the kitchen all night. Waitress was to busy to give us great service. Then they informed Open Table they we had not turned up!!!! We did not feel valued as a customer even though we spent £100 between 2 of us - we will not back!
Great standard of food though sometimes can be a bit frantic with heat of food pre-theatre. Quality of food is excellent though. Busy and cramped and so not for a romantic meal for two but lively and lovely buzz to the place
Atmosphere was lovely and it’s a small cozy restaurant. Waitress Johanna/Joanna or similar was outstanding and made time for us. Food however was a bit disappointing. Moules eat Frites were tasty but the mussels were extremely small and I had at least 10 closed ones. My partners steak was a bit tasteless. However quick service and pleasant people helped make up for it.
Friendly service. We ordered off the pre-theatre menu. Good portion sizes and great value.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when asked questions about the food on the menu. When we were seated I thought at first it was a bit cramped (we sat at a table for 2) but it was fine. We had Beef Bourguignon and a cassoulet de Toulouse (duck, belly pork, sausage and beans) which we both thought were excellent and would definitely have again. The toilets were very clean with ample supplies of toilet roll, soap and hand cream. We would highly recommend Le Garrick French Restaurant.
A limited menu and poor service.
Really cozy and classy atmosphere, perfect for dates and romantic evenings, the food is amazing and the staff super warm and friendly
Great little place been the last few times I’ve been in london
