We had the pre/post theatre set menu which was £30 for three courses. The food was good, though my first course was so meagre that it left very little impression. It comprised two tiny pieces of salmon, each smaller than my thumbnail - I'm a woman with small hands! The main course, slow cooked pork, and the dessert, a ginger and pear crème brulée were much better, particularly the dessert, which had a beautifully crackling caramel topping. The wine list was expensive. The sommelier recommended a Vacqueras from the Rhone which was far too rich for the pork main course, with the result that I didn't finish the wine. Lovely views of the Thames at night didn't compensate for a slightly disappointing overall experience.

Good view over River from table. Food good. Wine by the glass is expensive. Buy a reasonably priced bottle and have done with it.
Lunch bill for 2 for three set courses and wine by glass was £172. This is on the high side for the experience given the competition in the immediate vicinity. The cost at about £60 per head and I’d be back but at £85 for set menu I would probably look elsewhere for lunch.

Just what I would expect from such a reputed restaurant; good service and good food. It has the feel of a special place. Not cheap, but not unexpectedly dear either.

This was a special evening, both the occasion and our meal. We were welcomed and treated very well, never rushed, and the waiting staff were consistently delightful. Everyone complimented the food and the wine was very good. They catered well for gluten-free and were knowledgeable. The evening was made by our servers who made us feel very special. Thank you!

Went here for a lunch with my wife after a nice overnight break in London away from the kids. This was the last of a small number of nice things to do in London (a show, dinner out, nice hotel, visit to The Shard) and really didn't disappoint.

My wife had been here a few times since childhood and for her is was like going back in the past. The experience seems timeless and the quality has not changed a bit.

My wife is way more adventurous with food than I am, so when I first saw the menu and had food put in front of me, I was a little concerned, thinking I would need to stop off somewhere on the way home, but it was one of the most satisfying eating experiences I've had. What looked like a small portion was alarmingly filling and had more tastes than I could have expected.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the selection of wine and drinks was great, and the location is great with a lovely view of Tower Bridge.

I would recommend this place and will be going back (as soon as I've saved up enough!)

Great service, especially with selecting wines (thank you special sommelier). Impressive mains for the evening standard menu - starter/dessert was ok. Will definitely be back.

If we lived in London we would go more often. A relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere in a very nice room with fantastic views of Tower Bridge. The food is excellent, the service attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Highly recommended. We love it.

A quiet lunch with a friend. We had the Evening Standard special set menu (3 courses + glass of fizz for £30), which was delicious. A selection to choose from and yummy. The dining room was very quiet for a Saturday lunch and the bar area was buzzing - depends what you were looking for but we were fine with a quiet dining room. Recommended.
