Had a lovely special anniversary celebration here. Gorgeous food. Expensive but worth it for the service and quality. Lovely touch get a personal dessert with happy anniversary on it.

Absolutely super. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch chatting and exploring the options on the great value Evening Standard menu and found each choice excellent and slightly unusual : who realised cold pea soup and skate wing could be so delicious? We chose fairly standard desserts of creme brulee, chocolate delice and a very generous cheese plate - all mouthwatering. Service was excellent and friendly too. And that phenomenal view from the terrace - wonderful. A lovely, lovely lunch.

Went for a birthday treat and had the early evening set menu, we all really enjoyed it, we needed a couple of side dishes to bulk it out a bit but still good value and great service, the restaurant even did a special dessert plate for the birthday girl

During a recent trip to London we decided to try Le Pont de la Tour after reading through several online reviews. Our dining experience was one of the best we've had in a long time and the food was absolutely incredible.

I have dined here a few times on the set menu and been very happy. Service was very slow this time round though. We were a group of four and had to wait an hour for starters to arrive. They had run out of gazpacho so two of us had to have pea soup instead. The main was also a long wait and nothing special. Dessert was very small. In summary: disappointed this time. Will try one of the neighbouring restaurants next time.

The setting and ambience are excellent. One of the nicest locations in London. The food was very good and well presented but the potions were very small making the lunch not very good value for money. The scallop starter and lamb main course were very small dishes. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall a lovely afternoon for my daughters birthday

The set menu is very good value and all our party were impressed particularly with the main courses of skate and of chicken breast. The sides of green beans and chips with their skin on were excellent as well.

Le Pont De La Tour is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. This time did not disappoint. We were seated on the terrace as I’d requested which we very much appreciated. The food is always excellent and the wine list extensive. The service is discreet and our guests really enjoyed themselves.

The food from the set menu was very good. Service however was best described as haphazard.
There are many waiters but there doesn’t appear to be any system in operation with no one waiter taking ownership for tables.
Service was slow, disorganised and inefficient and it’s clear most of the waiting staff are very inexperienced (one didn’t know what Fino Sherry was, despite it being on the menu).
We also ordered wine which was kept in a bucket away from the table but all waiters were oblivious to our empty glasses. In the end, I got up from the table and poured the wine myself. This resulted in the opposite extreme with waiters constantly dashing to the table to try and fill glasses - once when they were already full. As I say, haphazard service.
Management really need to get a grip on this and train the staff properly as it spoils what is a fabulous setting and the good work the chef does in the kitchen.

The wine waiter brought a warm bottle of white wine and seemed unhappy when this was pointed out. I was very surprised by this level of service. The food was excellent.

Excellent service and food was delicious. We came to grab a quick meal prior to going to the theatre and enjoyed the theatre menu. Limited choice but food was spot on. I haven't visited Le Pont de la Tour in about 6 years and I have to say that it was just as I remembered it but the service was even better. Highly recommended!

Set menu is great value, food was nice, we had terrine as starter and it's slightly under seasoned but quality is good. I had pork as main, friend had Skate wing, a little lack of presentation. Desserts were not bad.
However, we didn't/ couldn't enjoy our meal.

We were told that air-conditioning is not working, inside of restaurant and toilet are so stuffy and unbearable.
So we asked for table outside, unfortunately still extremely unpleasant.
We were not offered free water, and feel slightly scammed when waiter just open another bottled water before we asked for.
Couldn't believe restaurant management wouldn't invest portable air-con nor a few fans in this weather. Waiters/ services are hit and miss as well.
So fellow diner, don't visit this restaurant in summer as NO air-conditioning nor fan at 30C!

This was a birthday and pre-theatre meal. We were able to sit on the terrace and had cocktails and then the pre-theatre 3-course offer. Superb quality food and good portions, beautifully served. Gazpacho was divine and the skate was excellent too. Attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Thank you.

Still the best restaurant by the Thames river, and has outstanding view of Tower of London.
What’s makes this place better all other restaurants by the Thames is staff and food.
Everyone is so knowledgable and friendly, same time very professional. Food is served and present beautifully.

We book the table for 7 pm to celebrate my daughters birthday, we arrived at 7:30 pm. We had to wait till 8 pm. Received poor service from the Waiters, we had to wait each and everytime to get served. Birthday cake was served without any cutlery and to wait 15 minutes for it. Food was cold and the appearance of the resturant was very much deceiving compared to the look on the websight.

This restaurant is a favourite when in London. Its location is wonderful with a magnificent view of Tower Bridge and the window tables or the outside seating area take full advantage of this. The current menu is slightly limited and the abundant seafood that used to be on show, is no longer available, but this could change. As always the staff are efficient and helpful making it a very pleasant venue.

We ordered food and a bottle of wine. The service was unfriendly and we got very little attention. The wine was not filled into the glasses when they were empty for example. We had to ask. Then we also ordered one bottle of sparkling water. A second bottle was put on the side of our table even though we had not ordered it. This way the resfaurant tries to add another 9.50 pounds to the bill. The charged us this additional bottle even though we did not touch it. They took it off the bill after we complained. The food was ok but not especially good. The restaurant adds 15 percent service charge to all bills for a really bad service. I do not recommend this place. Seems to be a tourist trap with a nice view to Tower Bridge.

Wonderful food, great venue and very well designed however not up to the usual D&D service you come to expect. Service mediocre, served by 5 different waiters and just a lack of quality. Shame as the venue is wonderful but there are, in my opinion better choices within this group, particularly for the price.

We dine at Le Pont probably every 7 or 8 weeks, and I always look forward to it, but unfortunately, (in my opinion), my wife is very quick to criticise any perceived mistake.
The three of us were seated, and had asked, and received some water, when two couples sat at the next table, with some wine that they’d brought with them from the bar.
The waiter brought them the bottle they’d had, in an ice bucket, and asked them if they’d like to order, to me this was no big deal, but my wife bridled, and would have said something, if I hadn’t stepped in, and closed her down.
Our starters and mains were excellent, as usual, and my wife and our friend shared a dessert which they enjoyed, I finished with a double espresso, and a cognac.
Another fine evening with excellent food and service, in a prime spot on the river, I can recommend Le Pont, but maybe, as much as I love her, I may leave my wife at home next time.

We decide to visit the Restaurant on Thursday evening and wanted to sit outside to make most of the lovely weather and the amazing view.
On arrival we were told all the tables outside were taking, but we can have a drink at the Bar and wait few minutes. which we did and they give us a lovely table after very short waiting.
it was very busy and not many staff around when you needed to get attentions but everyone was very kind and polite to make sure we were having good time. We absolutely loved our meal and time here here. Will be back.

I am sorry to say that despite it's wonderful location, Pont de la Tour was something
of a disappointment. Our welcome was fine but the service was mixed to say the least
while the food was a real disappointment for a restaurant in this bracket. It is sometime
since we came here to dinner and sadly we won't be coming again in a hurry.

We felt the starters were the best course, oysters for me, very plump and creamy, gazpacho for my friend. The main of Cornish skate was good and desserts of creme brûlée and chocolate delice very nice. A very good value set menu wth good portion sizes. Once again when I asked for gluten free bread I was given toast?! Do restaurants not realise that gluten free rolls are really easy to warm through? Also very frustrating at the end, it took around fifteen minutes to pay the bill as the internet went down.

We met friends for lunch on Saturday and sat in the outside dining area. We ordered from the set menu which included the appropriate choices. The food served was excellent and value for money. Being outside on a warm day was a bonus. We live locally and eat at the restaurant regularly at varying times of the day and evening. We have ordered from the set menu and the a la carte menu and never been disappointed.

I visited this restaurant last night for a friend's birthday, and I wish I could say it lived up to my expectations. While the food and view were lovely, the service was shockingly poor throughout the evening. To begin with it took us almost an hour to be seated. When we did finally sit down, we were given the wrong menus and we weren't even offered a drinks menu. My friend had go to a waiter and request one. Once we had finished our drinks, no one thought to ask us if we would like another. We were given a single slice of bread, which was fine, except that when we asked for a second slice we weren't given any butter to go with it. I asked for salt and pepper at the beginning of the main course, but that never showed up. We spent three hours in total there but that wasn't by choice. Instead it was because of how slow the service was.

Overall it felt as if the staff didn't care about our group, which marred what should have been a special occasion.
