Lebanese Taverna - Pentagon Row
It was very noisy, to the point we found it difficult to talk. We usually love this place, so we’re disappointed.
Heard that the fries were great, but no such luck. They weren’t worth ordering. Better clarity on vegan fare would have been appreciated by one member of our party. All of the hummus varieties were great!
The food is delicious. We ate outside and enjoyed the surroundings.
Make reservations if you're going to eat after about 630. Great food & great prices in a terrific location!
food was very good and service was excellent...but WAY too loud
We sat outside for a business dinner as it was a beautiful night and it was not busy. He took a full 20 min for a waiter to even approach us. We ordered drinks and appetizers which came out quickly however, I had to get up an physically look for someone to take our entree order. I have always liked the food, but quality of food has taken a nose dive. I then had to track down someone for the check. Service along with so so food will not urge me to come back anytime soon.
Love Lebanese Taverna. Delicious food and kind and friendly servers
It's been a while since I've eaten here and I was disappointed. The cocktail and entree were not good. Entree (lamb kefteh) had little flavor.
Took my Lebanese wife and family to the Taverna for a Birthday celebration and found it to be outstanding. The food was excellent. The service was prompt, attentive, and pleasant. The atmosphere was clean and sophisticated. Hence, I would highly recommend the restaurant to all seeking a fine dining experience.
We had prompt, attentive service throughout our meal. Usually we go to the LT in downtown DC, but I would definitely go back to the Pentagon Row location - it feels more intimate and cozy.
Great food and service as always!
Plenty of gluten free options! Food was delicious!
Enjoyed the patio seating on a pleasant summer evening — fresh air and much quieter than inside.
Lebanese Taverna always delivers great food and service. It’s a regular meet for friends. This time was to celebrate a birthday. We weren’t disappointed.
My family prefers this restaurant for Happy Hour rather than dinner as their Mezze are better than their entrees. The Bottomless Humus and pita bread are winners and we've been going for years to Happy Hour.
Lebanese Taverna is delicious. Not sure the Pentagon City location is my favorite, but the food is always wonderful. You simply can’t beat their fresh, warm pitas to start off your meal.
Excellent place for dinner, staff is attentive and does a great job!
I was really excited to come to Lebanese Taverna for dinner after I came across videos of the owner discussing Whole30 options at the restaurant. With several to choose from, I decided to go with the beet salad with salmon (minus the cheese). Perhaps I had spent all day building up this beautiful Whole30-compliant dinner option in my head, but once it arrived, I found myself disappointed. Maybe it was because I found the name "beet salad" misleading with the four measly chunks of beets spread out over an enormous bed of arugula (maybe rethink the name to something like "Arugula Salad with Beets"?). Maybe it was because there were no pomegranate seeds (only offered seasonally). Maybe it was because my salad arrived without the pine nuts the menu promised--and ultimately ended up being a kind of sad plate featuring a bunch of arugula, a couple of beets, and a decent sized piece of salmon. However, once we got the pine nut situation squared away, the food was actually quite delicious, the salmon was perfectly cooked, and I ended up cleaning my plate.
Food and service was perfect. Environment was calming.
Always a fantastic meal.
Missed our table reservation ( since you have to actually look for the place and then struggle to find parking)
Had to stand at the entrance although multiple tables were empty to WAIT for the rest of our party. Slightly better costumer service is recommended .
We greatly enjoyed Lebanese Taverna on Father's Day. The service was outstanding including providing a high chair for a one-year old
Good experience, will go back.
Great food. Lovely patio to sit out and enjoy great company
Great food and great service.
This was a disappointing experience overall. We had asked for a quiet table but when we entered the dining area - which admittedly has a high ceiling and very poor acoustics - we could help noticing how noisy the place was. Although the restaurant was far from full in the early evening the occupants of two tables in particular seemed only be able to shout, not talk. When we asked the manager if we could move to a quiet area he first told us it was "closed" and then subsequently took umbrage when I complained hos noisy his restaurant was. Only later were we were "allowed" to move to a quieter table. Great customer service, huh? Clearly, the guy is in the wrong business - which is somewhat surprising since the chain's blurb has a homely piece on its website that ends with "welcome to my home". Not a home I would recognise.
To start, we ordered a couple of bottles of Lebanese red, the Wardy Les Cedres (@ the princely sum of $72 (including tax and tip) much better than the pretty mediocre Heritage Red at a mere $39 price, and the humus sampler. The humus was fine, as was the wonderful pitta bread that came with it, but I wish we had warned that one of the portions was very spicy. To follow, two of our party ordered the lamb kebab. One of them was supposed to be rare but both came out overcooked and tough. One ordered the salmon harra, which was reportedly very good and I ordered the lamb mouzat, which was a beautifully cooked and spiced lamb shank but accompanied by vegetables, including artichokes but also, unfortunately, about 1lb of green lentils. I would have much preferred some cous cous but this was apparently not available in this Lebanese restaurant.
Despite the noise and the mixed quality of the food, our server was great - friendly, helpful and efficient. But, will we return? Nope. Uptown, Mama Ayesha and Baccus of Lebanon are far superior.
Reservations were made several days before our dinner date. Disappointed that we were seated close to kitchen and bathrooms. Noise level very high Food was delicious.
We love the food here, and like this location best. We live in another state, but are in the DC area a few times a year, and make sure to eat here. The service is always good, even when it is busy. It can be a bit loud on a busy night, but not terribly so. I like the M'Saka best!
Our go-to restaurant - food is NEVER anything but first rate.
They need to renovate the bathrooms. I was surprised at how neglected the bathroom was, even the wallpaper is hanging off the wall. If the bathroom is this unkempt, what does the kitchen look like?
Great place to go on a Saturday night with a group of friends. Not too loud so great for conversations!
We had a very nice time here. The food was absolutely great and the service was very good. Will definitely return if in the area
Ryan was incredible!!! Super attentive, polite and professional. :-)
Always wonderful food and service!
Just my second time here, once for a weekend night dinner and this time for early evening eats and drink. Great food, drink and softer music at that point.
Lebanese Taverna never disappoints.... Food, drinks, and service was amazing!!
Excellent service and food was reasonably price, especially by Washington standards. I had never been to Lebanese Taverna and really had never considered myself a big fan of Lebanese food, but this place changed my mind. Look forward to returning to a location. The hummus and bread were terrific.
My favorite place to eat when in DC Crystal City area! Recommend to all to drop in for the garlic fries!
