My husband and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the Lebanese Taverna in Woodley Park is where we had our first date 27 years ago! Every member of the staff wished us a happy anniversary and made our dinner a very special occasion. We can’t thank the restaurant enough for the gracious service we received.

Very quiet and easy to get to. Literally across the street on Connecticut Avenue from the south entrance for the Woodley Park/ Zoo redline Metro stop Prices were reasonable and the portions were outstanding. Will put on my list for lunches in the future

Seriously understaffed, and food quality has declined dramatically since I was there 6 years ago. Fried calamari was over-breaded, fried artichokes very greasy, main courses under seasoned. Only truly enjoyable dishes were the lamb kabob, although it was medium and we ordered medium rare, and the baklava.

The food and the service were very good - as always. However, I had redeemed 2000 points and Open Table had sent me a Dining Reward. I made a reservation but I did NOT receive a credit. In the past, 2000 points equaled $20. Furthermore, I received the following note: "This reservation isn't eligible for you to collect points." I spent $265; I got neither the Dining Rewards nor points. That is not a great deal. Nevertheless, we will return to the Lebanese Taverna.

I have been to this establishment many times before in my travels to DC. Wile the food was fine the service and attitude of the server was offensive. Nothing he said but actions speak louder than words. While this reservation was under my husband’s name as his wife I was there with a female friend. I was disappointed and not sure I will be back.

We we’re the 2nd table to arrive. The restaurant was empty, just opened but you’d think they were overwhelmed. Service was terrible, at times nonexistent. Food was dry, some tasted like leftovers.

Another good meal at Lebanese Taverna. They reliably always perform and can be counted on for a good meal. My entree was a bit over cooked but everyone else said was great. The ambience was off some rather than other times. Some of the lights were on bright and then some of the background lights were not even on. Not sure why this was but it was noticeable to all of us at the table.

My friend and I had a very nice dinner here. The service was great - I have a few food sensitivities, and the server made sure the kitchen could accommodate my needs. The food was great, and the value was as well. Lots of pita brought at the beginning before we received our dinners, and wonderful olive oil with za'atar for dipping. Not rushed at all. A very enjoyable evening.

Food, very good and as expected from a Lebanese spot. Baklava however was a pinkie finger size roll-up. No grape leaves tonight, but other sides well prepared and tasty. The bread served, like a warm, fresh baked, puffy peta, the hi light of the meal. Service, was ok. Had to ask 2-3 times for water, drinks, but bread guy, on the spot. I’ll be back.

Enjoyable meal with friends sampling various delicious appetizers - all delicious. However, the service made our experience less than desired. Bottom line - service was not what was expected. It started with delivering our bottled beer with caps intact and walking away. Throughout the meal we had to flag our server (or any of the waitstaff) for basics - appetizer plates, additional naan, table water, etc. When we ordered more drinks, they never arrived. All night the service was non existent. Too bad as we will think twice before another visit..

Went for a quick lunch on a weekday. Staff accommodated a family member's sesame allergy and ensured we had everything we needed. Food was delicious and the bread that came to the table was phenomenal. Will be eating there again soon!

Our family has been coming to Lebanese Taverna for 20 years and have NEVER been disappointed. Consistency among all locations is stellar….and we’ve been to them all! The food was excellent, as usual and kabobs were made as requested. The.Mezza selection is extensive with the majority being gluten free which is important to my wife. Be warned, that you will need to bring food home since there are so many tempting items to try.

The waiter didn't bring us bread and did not check on our food or refill our beverages. We spent entirely too much money to receive such poor service. The food was just ok. I would not recommend. There are better restaurants in DC. Look further.

This is a very good restaurant. Somewhat authentic. The hommus is excellent, as well as the pilaf. The fattoush is very good. Overall, this is an outstanding choice for a good meal.

Excellent food. Had the tzatziki, garlic hummus and baba ganoush, all of which were delicious. The shrimp arak was good, but not as good as the other three dishes. Something re the sauce/seasonings was off to us, and we both have had lots of Middle Eastern food over the past few decades.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I moved to DC in 2001, nothings lasts forever. Their food is not any better than any fast food stand in a mall. Sorry!
