Liberty House Restaurant
Chef Ken Trickilo has created a diverse menu, which focuses on unique combination of farm-fresh ingredients, flavorings and spectacular presentation.
Please Note - though we will do our best to accommodate requests, due to high demand/uncertainty of weather, Window & Outdoor Tables are sat on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact the restaurant directly for further information. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to serving you.
Great location. Excellent staff. Good food. Pricey. Charge for flat water per bottle. Charge for an additional dessert they brought for my daughter. Over all good.
Our server Brandon was amazing along with the rest of the people who waited on our table. It was our first time there and we felt so welcomed by everyone. I would go back here without a doubt and make sure others know about how great the experience was !
My friend and I came here for restaurant week after wanting to try this place out for a while. It was amazing! The view was spectacular and the food was great. The chicken lollipops app was to die for.
We had made an 11pm dinner reservation for new years eve via the app. Living in Hudson county a local restaurant we hadn’t tried with views of the city seemed to be a no brainer and a great option. Unfortunately not the case. We were on our way in the uber when I realized we would potentially be 10 minutes. Understanding its new years and trying my best to be courteous I called the restaurant. The attendant answered and all seemed to be in order with no issue of us being a few minutes late.
We arrived at the restaurant poised with excitement, to enjoy an excellent meal and ring in the new year. Upon arriving at the front desk we gave the hostess our name stating we had am 11pm dunner reservation from open table. This was the first warning sign, as both the hostesses seemed very confused and were shuffling back and forth trying to figure out how to accommodate us. Didn’t we just call 15 minutes earlier to let them know we were on our way?
After some time had passed , the hostess said we stopped serving dinner some time ago but if you want food you should grab the buffet. She escorted us to a back table that other people sitting at it. I was terribly confused regarding our seating arrangement and the fact dinner service had stopped some time ago. Hadn’t we made a dinner reservation for 11pm? Well with new years less than 40 minutes away, we tried our best to leave this initial confusion behind us and enjoy a meal/drink celebrating the fleeting moments of 2019.
We got up to go to the multiple buffet stations and filled plates of food as we were ravenous. Before heading back to our table we stopped at the bar to pick up drinks ( opening up a bar tab ). We. Sat down to begin enjoying our NYE dinner, when not 3 minutes had passed when a waitress came by dropping a black book ( with a bill ) stating she would wanted to get this to us now before things got too hectic at midnight. I smiled and grabbed the book from here.Opened the book to see a $450 bill, I said what?!
Great place for new year eve dinner. BUT, the area we were seating had a light which was blinking and extremely annoying. We pointed out and it literally entire time we were having dinner to fix it. Despite, dinner was delicious, drink was great and service was super we couldn’t enjoy. It is also pricey place.
We’ve eaten at Liberty House numerous times. The food is always top notch including the presentation. Brian our waiter was very attentive and provided great service. The long ride is always worth it. Plus the view of NYC is spectacular.
Nothing particularly special, great view. Service was very good overall. As for the food, it is simply overpriced for the quality. It seems like a good venue for a few drinks, maybe a group function. Fine dining - not so much.
30 years nursing reunion!
Food was good. Service was great but noise was too loud
Excellent restaurant, a little pricey, however, everything was outstanding. Great for special occasions.
Great views, great service and good good! A night to remember.
We noted that it was a special occasion and they had no clue. We requested a special table.
Entered with party of 6, had a reservation- Exec Chef happened to welcome us. Pleasant!
The hostess advised that outside tables were on hold due to impending hailstorm (understandable). General Mgr showed us our table with the view that was clearing check and we would get shortly.
As we waited, a Restaurant Mgr came up, had an exchange with the hostess about “our” table, then said right in front of us “No, no, no- you can’t give it- I will talk to him...”. The GM and him then talked, the hostess meanwhile just showed us to an entirely different table- no apology, no explanation, no info until we asked and advised how rude the Rest Mgr intervention came across. Advised the GM, who apologized and offered to make up for it. Not the point, so we moved on and sat.
20 mins- no water or server. Went back to hostess. Another apology. A rushed server showed up profusely apologizing because “You were kind of in the corner and I completely missed you”.
Apps were good. Recommend the roasted garlic and cheese!
View is spectacular generally, but ok for us because we went from a table with a view to one with a view of another table.
Filet Mignon: ordered Medium. Came Well Done (completely grey through and through). Too tired to keep complaining
End of dinner- ordered Compass Box whisky flight- they filled the wrong one vs the menu. Again- advised and then they corrected.
Ordered dessert- 2 ice creams and something called the “Bomb”- advertised as “Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Chocolate Ganache Sponge Cake, Swiss Meringue, Creme Anglaise, Flamed with 151 Rum”. Came after several minutes, neither server nor person preparing could first confirm if there was ice cream. Then the flaming done with Sambuca (let alone another rum- an entirely different liquor altogether and anise flavor).
They have a view and location.
Menu accuracy, care, service- lot to be desired.
Would not repeat. Server at 2 days in more hospitable than Rest Mgr.
LOVED IT, amazing ambience and amazing service !! The fireworks was an amazing end to our night
The night was perfect weather until the rain storm hit but the service was awful and I recommended this restaurant to my boss and colleagues and we were chasing our waiter, the food was not the same as in the past, pasta Bolognese was prepared so different and tasteless and the other entree were disappointing... and no one was responsive not sure what has changed there?
Appreciate giving us a table when we were 30 min late for a reserved time.
The food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff was very nice. They actually messed up our reservation, apologized for it, and comped a round of drinks for us. Would totally return because of the excellent customer service.
Beautiful view, service was great, ambiance was great !
Went with a Friend to catch up and had a great time. Our waiter Brandon F was beyond Amazing and we both look forward to going back again.
We were running a bit late for our reservation due to traffic. The staff was very accommodating. Our table had an amazing view and we got there just in time for a beautiful sunset against the city. Great dinner and the staff was very pleasant.
Everything went very well
The place was not crowded but the service was not really quick.
The view hands down is gorgeous! The service was good. The food was ok.
Everything was outstanding. We enjoyed delicious-cocktails beforehand, that were served with such enthusiasm by our server. The appetizers of zucchini frites, calamari and a kale salad were again delicious! My colleague and I had the bone in ribeye.. perfection! Our other colleagues enjoyed salmon and The grouper special. We enjoyed the view of the Nyc skyline We will definitely return to the liberty house.
Unbelievable. One of my favorite places in the world for every reason. Food, drinks, service, and of course the view
Fantastic restaurant, great food, great view. Can't say anything better than that!
Overall perfect location for any occasion.
Relaxed atmosphere being with good friends and family...
During 4th July 2019....5 stars
Disappointed. Steak wasn’t made correctly and had to be sent back. My husband called ahead to let them know we were celebrating an Anniversary, they could have cared less. Service was slow. Food was over priced.
Me and my wife's experience: Crab cake was not very good (had odd consistency with an unpleasant fishy smell). The calamari was the worst I've had in a long time. Totally over cooked to the point of it almost being inedible. My main course of seared striped bass was good. My wife had the boned bronzino and every bite had a bone in it. Definitely not worth the price. On the upside the place and location can't be beat. Amazing views of lower Manhattan to be had. I'd come back for drinks but not for dinner.
The service & ambiance was amazing, food was average
Chris our waiter was super nice!! The food was delicious.. the chocolate martini was awesome!!! But the view!! Was amazing 😉
Excellent food and service. Very noisy, but other than that ambience was good.
We were celebrating our Anniversary. Our waiter Steve was absolutely amazing, plus all the staff we interacted with. We had an overall wonderful evening in spite of the thunderstorms passing thru the area that evening.
The view at the restaurant is amazing. We sat outside with an unobstructed view of NYC. The food and the service were disappointing. Steak was over cooked and my wife's Brazino had bones in it. The timing between the appetizer which came out fairly quickly and then main course which took way too long made for a less than desireable flow to the dinner.
Liberty House provides an excellent Mother's Day buffet brunch/dinner. Quality and selection are outstanding. Everyone really enjoyed it. The weather didn't permit outdoor seating unfortunately. The one big surprise was the price. The price for four (including gratuity which is mandatory), along with 3 drinks, was $350. So get ready for some sticker shock.
Second time there. Great food, atmosphere and location.
Went for my husbands birthday and our anniversary. Amazing food and amazing service. Would go again!
Great view of the city and the food was fantastic
Took relative from out of State so she could experience one of the best restaurants in New Jersey.
The food was great, service was amazing, views were beautiful. However, they sat us near a bar which is normally fine, but when you spend the amount I did and dress up nice and go to a nice restaurant you dont expect it to sound like an applebees. This place needs a dress code and needs to be sure not to overserve patrons. While trying to enjoy a quiet dinner there were loud and obnoxious people screaming at a TV. Just not expected at a higher class establishment.
