Great food, very attentive and respectful service.
Excellent family owned place with great service and really good food. I expect to.become a regular guest.
overall this was just a so-so experience. the hamburger was an obvious re-heat up--so perfectly round and dry--not even the lettuce and tomato helped. the French onion soup, while rich, was overly salty. should have asked what was in the "special" Lili meatballs--they were just that, meatballs.
The four of us are always looking for a new place to dine and we found the perfect spot in Bergen County. The service was perfect. The owner walked the room and made sure everyone was being well served. The menu has many options for meat and fish lovers as well as vegetarians. Their Italian dishes are perfectly done. I had the fish special (branzino) and the filet was prepared to perfection. I can go on and on but I will end this by saying we have found our new dinner spot.
First time here. Very good crowd and I thought that it should be a reasonable reasonable. We ordered soups, apps, and entries. Waiter totally forgot our soups and apps. We had to remind him 30+ minutes after we’ve placed our order. Cream of mushroom was watery and warm not hot. Waiter told us the soup was late because they had to make it fresh. So you go figure. The apps on LiLi’s meatball was too dry and the mussels did not have the fresh taste. We ordered lamb chop medium rare, and came out well done. We ordered ATLANTIC salmon and came out too dry and no salmon taste. Medium rare veal chop did not had veal taste. We told the waiter that lamb chop was overcooked. He told us the owner waived the charge on that order and also offered us complementary coffee and dessert. Coffee was ok. But the apple strudel was a disaster. It was not fresh, microwave warmup job, and pastry outside was soft and soggy. Overall, food is not even matching up to an average diner standard. Very disappointed. I gave 3 star just because they took our comment on the overcook lamb chop and free dessert. Should have been 2.
Awesome food and service, and ambiance is elegant. Very authentic European. Lili’s Bistro always brings on pure nostalgia. It is like sitting in a restaurant somewhere in Europe. Dinner tends to be a bit pricey for the size of the portion, but the three-course prix fixe menu has great selections. Unfortunately, there is no separate kid’s menu. My favorite dish is the good old Hungarian Gulash, and for dessert, tiramisu is a must have.
As always the food at Lili's was excellent! The wait staff was also very attendtive. There is always a homey feel every time we go to Lili's.
A nice little restaurant next to movie theater. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was better than average, prices were of good value. It's BYOB so that makes a good for your wallet.
Food was tasty and well-prepared.
Service was courteous and informative.
Looking forward to a return visit.
Food and service excellent. Meatballs are a must. Had short ribs tender and delicious.
Great food. My niece said this is her new favorite Italian restaurant.
First time there food was good. Staff very nice and pleasant. Would definitely go back!
The food and service is always excellent at Lili’s. I look forward to eating there whenever I am in the area
As a place for locals to go for a reasonable meal, Lili's is fine. However, it is not worth traveling to. Basically it has standard Italian dishes plus a few Hungarian ones. Nothing unusual, and nothing particularly well prepared.
My wife and I are always looking for new places to dine. We got this recommendation from a friend.
Turns out it was a good experience food was good as well as the service. Someone must have called out sick or something one waiter handled a crowd of 30 by himself and I didn’t here one complaint from any of the other customers he did a great job.
On another note open table asks if there is a special occasion like birthday or anniversary etc. I filled in it was my wife’s birthday nobody said a word.
We will definitely go back
The owner was very friendly and checked in on us. The food was very good, we all liked what we ordered. Our party of four was not pleased with the service. The wait staff was curt and unfriendly. They brought us dessert and we had to ask for silverware and plates. Would have mentioned this to the owner, but she had left for the night.
Enjoyed a delicious meal of sautéed scallops, which were cooked perfectly. My friend had the bronzino special and said it was delicious. My other friend had the shrimp special and said it was delicious. BYOB is a plus. Very good and will go back.
I have been to Lili's Bistro on a quiet Monday and recently on a busy Mother's Day and both dinners were met with fine service, delicious food and a warm atmosphere. I love Lili's Bistro!
Family run local restaurant with European specialties. Hungarian goulash was terrific and the desserts were great. We will definitely visit again.
Thank you so much for your review. We are looking forward seeing you again soon!
The owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly.
Good luck with the new party room.
What a pleasant surprise. One doesn't usually expect such good food and great service in a strip mall restaurant. Can't wait to return. The food is delicious as was the hostess who I presume is Lili.
Very diverse menu and good size portions.
Definitely worth going and a BYOB.
Going when the sun is setting? Make sure you get a table that properly blocks the sun's rays. The side facing the parking lot has adequate shading, the windows on the other side do not. This can be troublesome for diners on that side of the room.
Otherwise, the food and service is absolutely fantastic at Lili's!
Very surprised. Somebody recommended this place to us and I decided to try it. Absolutely wonderful. Food was excellent, restaurant very clean and the service could not be better. Will certainly return. Very enjoyable dinner.
We have been to Lili's before and were very disappointed with this visit. We had a reservation but were made to wait, even though their were several open tables. We ordered sparking water. It never arrived. We ordered salads and it was at least a half hour before they arrived. I ordered a steak well done; it was rare. To the credit of the waiter, I was served a new steak. The food is good at this restaurant but as described above, the service was awful. We had been to this restaurant before and had not experienced such poor service so perhaps they just had a poor night. However, for the price of the dinners, this is just unacceptable.
The food was good and nicely presented, however, being fed your dinner entree right on top of your appetizer is just not the way to do it. We barely finished eating the appetizers and dinner was on the table. I cannot understand why that happens in so many restaurants. We ordered dessert, it came quite fast but then had to reach out to the waiter to ask for the check because he never came back. All in all it was pretty good.
Everything was great. Paprikash chicken and farfalle pasta were both excellent. Highly recommend to anyone.
Fantastic as usual! Awesome service and great value! The burrata beet appetizer was the only thing that wasn't fantastic. The pasta dishes are perfect every time!
Food was good and our waiter was very good. We plan to return.
Food was great ! But it was way to loud to talk in this restaurant
Absolutely delicious!!! We have been going to Lilis for several years... tonights meal was our best yet!
We enjoyed our meal. Nice cozy place, although the noise level was high when we were there.
Everything was great . Started to get warm once the restaurant go crowded otherwise great dinner
My friends and I went here to celebrate a birthday. It looks like a typical strip mall restaurant on the outside but once you step inside, it's a warm and inviting place. We shared the mussels and sausage in a delicious broth. Fresh and creative. I had the seafood pasta dish which included calamari, mussel, clams, and shrimp in a red sauce served over linguine. It was a very decent size portion and I had to take some leftovers home. My friends ordered the bronzini special and thoroughly enjoyed their meals too. We ordered a dessert to share and the waiters came over and sang while the loudspeaker played Happy Birthday. It was a great night had by all! Too bad they only serve dinner. Would have liked to come here for lunch sometime.
The food for both of us was excellent - flavorful and healthy portions. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The owner even came over to our table to ask how things were. A very personal touch. I recommend Lili's highly!
It was our first visit to this restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised the food was very good and prepared well. The specials were enticing and as per the waiter the pea soup was the best in NJ, I could not disagree. We had veal chops, halibut and flounder all were tasty, desert of bread pudding and tiramisu which were all made on premises were excellent. We will be back.
Very nice restaurant. Good interesting food choices. They are quick to bring the drinks and appetizers, but slower on delivery of the entrees because everything is made to
Order. So if you’re in a hurry, be sure to let them know. Otherwise, enjoy a leisurely dining experience with friends and family.
The hostess is lovely and always tries to please.
The food as usual was outstanding. We had buratta salad for an app that melted in your mouth. I had a veal chop that was so tender & deliciously seasoned that it was the best chop I have had anywhere. For dessert the chocolate mousse cake again was perfect in density & taste. Lilli"s warm personality makes the experience even better. Not to be missed.
