An elegant setting in Chelsea, with just as elegantly presented food. The staff were all friendly and polite and the food and wine pairings interesting and innovative. A very relaxing evening with delicious food- the scallop and the fallow deer were highlights along with the apple dessert and the stunning fortified wine accompaniment.

What a fantastic place and it embodies Soho. The food was absolutely delicious, the sauces and steak were fantastic. What I really enjoyed was the personalities of the staff, sometimes at other places it can feel faceless but our servers were amazing. The cheesecake was exceptional too, would recommend that! The waitress we had was very funny and we’d love to come back. Cocktails were nice and it was our favourite meal of the few days we’ve had away. Thanks for a great time!

Close to Oxford Circus & Goodge Street stations, housed in Fitzrovia, an area steep in history, now buzzing with bohemia as a popular dining destination. Meraki features contemporary interior, the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes include the ‘Lobster Giouvetsi’; Succulent, tender lobster meat is delicately cooked, nestled into a bed of orzo pasta and beautifully enhanced with a rich tomato sauce, infused with lemon zest.

Peter Waney opened Meraki in 2017, after seeing a gap in the London market for premium Greek cuisine. Culinary Director Sanjay Dwivedi joined the family early 2022 to help expand Meraki globally, working with the talented chefs, to elevate the menu, for a fresh, mouth-watering gastronomical experience.

About the restaurant
Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

We were a group of 6 so we got to taste everything from the menu. Two things we liked a lot, the pork shoulder and the monkfish; the other things were good but not memorable. The space is beautiful but it was extremely loud, which is not helped by the sharing table concept - we were sandwiched between other diners and had to shout for most of the dinner.

About the restaurant
At Restaurant Story the premise is simple; we seek to tell our story through the food we serve.

We opened in April 2013 gaining our first Michelin star only five months after opening and in 2021 we were awarded our second Michelin star. Finally in 2023 we launched Story 3.0 hosting a 2nd floor.

Inspired by chef Tom Sellers’ culinary career and the history of British food, our dishes are an edible story, each one inspired by a memory. We want to share these memories with you through what you see, smell and taste.

To help achieve this, we select only the freshest seasonal British produce and then pair it with an exclusive wine list featuring small wine producers and select British craft ales sourced locally.

About the restaurant
Luca is continuing his family’s love of food by offering an authentic Italian dining experience in an Italian Trattoria, in which the focus are simple dishes made delicious by the fresh ingredients.
In 1960 in Benevento the family opened the first Rossella, where they combined the products from their family vineyard with their love for food. This was then brought here in 1978, when they moved & opened a trattoria where Luca learned the ins and outs of a restaurant from a very young age.
It was clear to both Luca & his family that he had natural talent for cooking. So, when he was 19 years old & he chance to open his own restaurant, he took it with great excitement.
Rossella is the continuation of a family’s tradition, one is not just another customer at Rossella, but rather part of the family, its great story and its great success.

About the restaurant
Fergus Henderson’s original home of “Nose to Tail Eating” opened in a former smokehouse around the corner from Smithfield Market in 1994.

Celebrating the finest of indigenous British produce and making the most of what is seasonally best whilst applying straight forward cooking techniques, St. John is now celebrated as one of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World and in 2009 was awarded its first Michelin Star.

Nose to tail eating means that, where appropriate, every part of the animal should be put to good use in the kitchen and so along with Roast Beef and Lemon Sole, diners will find Rolled Pig’s Spleen, Kidneys and Ox Heart, Liver and Chitterlings as well as the Roast Bone Marrow & Parsley Salad, something of a ‘signature’ dish.

The food quality has remained exceptional over the years, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality. The wine list is also very good, and keeps changing, adding good value bottles under the St John label. Service is excellent and servers are knowledgeable about the menu. The menu continues to provide choices involving non-standard meats (recently ox heart and mallard) and fish (recently gray mullet and skate), so interest in such foods are helpful in negotiating the menu. Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.

Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

Two issues affected my lunch on this special day that could have been avoided. A mess was made of my reservation which was a nonsense. The second disappointment was that the trolley menu was woefully short on the roast rib of pork and what we were shown was not what was served. Desperation set in and the meal was served late and undercooked and was not rib.
