With more than 300 kinds of whisky, more than 100 wines and over 140 beers, it will satisfy your need for liquid refreshment. The food is pub fare improved thanks to the reliance on organic and locally raised meats and careful preparation. Burgers, salads, soups and so much more await those who pay a visit to Allen's.

When we come into Toronto this is hands down our favourite Gluten free restaurant. The food is exceptional. Great choice and so delicious! The servers always go above and beyond! We visited on Good Friday and even though they were short staffed they made sure we were taken care of! We have visited on many occasions and honestly we have always had an amazing experience. Everything on their menu is phenomenal! The vibe is relaxed, cosy and welcoming! Thank you again for another great visit! We will be back!

The Alpina Tasting Platter was a fun and delicious dining experience. The Espresso Martini was delectably delicious. The view from the table was spectacular and breathtaking. Such a fabulous and romantic experience for my spouse's birthday meal! Highly recommended!

The staff are very well trained and organized. Our server Maija was excellent. Very personable with the appropriate level of attention. You can't go wrong with brown bread rolls as an appetizer, are perhaps the best tasting that I have ever had. My wife had the seafood hodgepodge which she thought was amazing. I had a Easter special (cod dinner) which was good, the fish was cooked perfectly. I had a special cheesecake which was a bit underwhelming, the presentation with the rhubarb garnishes on the side made it look very nice and tasted wonderful, but the cheesecake itself(fluffy whipped filling with a solid graham cracker bottom) was a bit "meh". The chocolate mousse that my wife had was presented well and tasted nice. The pricing seems very reasonable for a restaurant of its class, service and quality.

Our server Jane, gave us great recommendations and we ended up going with the cheeseboard. The board had a lovely seasonal preserve and house pickled vegetables. It's a lovely restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and excellent food. The salad with burrata, fig, balsamic, and toasted walnuts was excellent. The suggested wine pairing was very nice and complemented the entire meal.

The origin of The Story Café emerged from the mantra “There is a story in everything”
So in 2018 when we fell upon a 30 year old warehouse, we saw the potential to transform the abandoned space into a warm, hospitable, unique eatery. Wonderful dinner with view of Niagara River. Rose, our server, was very attentive to our needs. She recommended a great local Chardonnay as well. Seafood chowder was loaded with chunks of lobster. I had the artichoke Chair as my main while my husband had the prawns. Loved both!

Lov Laval used to be one of my favorite all-vegan restaurants, so it’s disappointing to see the changes in both the menu and food quality. I understand the shift to include vegetarian options—if it helps keep the restaurant afloat, it’s better than seeing another vegan spot shut down. That said, the quality of the vegan dishes has noticeably declined. Even staples like the burger and fries are smaller and far less tasty than they used to be. As someone who continues to support vegan-friendly restaurants despite these challenges, I really hope Lov Laval can improve and reclaim the excellence it was once known for.
