Christina Tosi, chef and founder of New York’s award-winning Milk Bar bakery, knows a thing or two about amazing food. Aside from her own culinary achievements (which have earned her several James Beard Awards), Milk Bar is an off shoot of David Chang’s world-famous Momofuku restaurant group, and she has worked in some of the city’s best restaurants. We wanted to find out where this adventure seeking business woman likes to eat when she travels around the country visiting her many Milk Bar storefronts, so we asked...

My favorite restaurant of Jose Andres’ long before I decided to become a chef. This place offers an innovative menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines - a true crowd pleaser.

Great food and drink. Ordered four of the smaller dishes - perfect for two. Attentive service.

About the restaurant
Breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks, this is the Milk Bar crew’s home base in DC. A round of pommes frites for the table is a must (mayo + ketchup on the side, always & obviously).

Food, ambiance, and service was amazing. Only issue was that the French toast was too fancy for the pallet of a seven year old.

A slice of home away from my NYC home. This elegant eatery is sure to please your taste buds. Be sure to check out the Giannini Bar for a drink before or after your scrumptious dinner.

About the restaurant
Nancy Silverton is a boss. I always get her chopped salad at Pizzeria Mozza, but her Ribollita Da Delfina, toasts/bruschetta and ALL the pastas at Osteria Mozza keep me coming back. Plus, I can walk to Milk Bar for dessert afterwards - huge win in my book!

Absolutely love this place! This was my second time dining at Osteria Mozza. The first time was a few years ago and I've been dying to go back ever since! We arrived 15 mins early for our reservation, our table was still being prepared, so we stopped by the bar for a couple cocktails. Gabriel was our server and he took amazing care of us throughout our dining experience. He gave us a full menu tour and made excellent recommendations as well. We started with Nancy's Favorite Trio which includes the famous Fett'unta. I was a bit hesitant because I'm not a huge fan of anchovies, but surprisingly that one ended up being my favorite out of the trio. We also got the Grilled Octopus - potato, celery, green onion & lemon. Loved the char and consistency of the dish. After that we shared the Tagliatelle with oxtail ragù. The pasta was perfectly al dente and so fresh, and the oxtail was extremely tender. The final dishes were the Grilled Whole Branzino - calabrian chiles, grilled lemon, fennel & celery. And the Insalata Mista - with vegetables & herbs. Loved the seasonings and the crispiness of the fish, but I will say that it was over-salted for my liking. However, the lemon helped cut the saltiness for me. The salad was light and fresh, and the dressing had hints of dill pickle. Last but not least, we got the Rosemary Olive Oil Cakes (Monini olive oil gelato & rosemary brittle) for dessert. Super yummy! The combination of crispy on the outside and soft in the middle paired with the gelato was heavenly! Definitely recommend this dessert if you're having trouble deciding. From the food, to the service, to the ambiance, a extremely delightful evening and I will be returning for sure!

Gotta support my co-host, plus I'd order 6 beef Wellington’s to my room if I could. If steak is your thing, this is your place.

Two things that always remind me of Boston: chef Barbara Lynch, and cannoli. For an authentic trattoria-inspired spot, look no further!
