Very VERY GOOD…this was my first time and we started with the patatas bravas….(fried potatoes with a tomato element) excellent 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 we had the crispy chicken and gnocchi and pork entrees…..all very very good 👍🏼 followed by pans cotta …. Wonderful!! I’ll b back….the waiter was excellent and had such a nice demeanor, we really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came to Canela for a family birthday dinner and we had a fantastic time! We ended up being 15 minutes late and the hostess (who was also our server) was so kind about it. We had some dietary restrictions in our party (gf, vegetarian) and our server was great about letting us know what size dish she recommended for how many people would partake and reminding us which dishes people could eat when they came to the table. We ended ordering maybe 12 to 15 items and everything came out swiftly but well paced. And the food was amazing! We especially loved the fried chicken, the mushrooms, the cheese plate and the garlic shrimp. There was no dish that wasn’t enjoyable and the drinks were delicious too! Very inventive cocktails and a delightful wine list. As it was a birthday meal, they brought out a dessert with a candle and little happy birthday chocolate medallion. All three desserts we got were absolutely delicious, and the olive oil cake despite being gluten free was so moist and fudgy and delicious. My family can be a little overwhelming and the waitstaff was so accommodating and kind. The vibe is very warm and inviting and comfortable and not too noisy for my hard of hearing parents. Overall the whole experience was immensely enjoyable and I’d definitely recommend Canela to anyone and everyone!!

Love this cute place! Great Mexican food with excellent service. Much nicer than most Mexican restaurants with white tablecloths and nice art on the walls, but still has a casual and relaxed atmosphere. So nice that it’s quiet and you can have a conversation. This place deserves to have more customers for sure! We have eaten here before and will certainly do so again.

WILLIAM to the rescue!!! I decided to try this place for a quick birthday dinner. It was a last-minute reservation, and the restaurant was packed. At first, things looked like they might take a disappointing turn—our original server was nowhere to be found, and I started to worry. But then, a sweet woman with curly hair (I wish I had gotten her name!) stepped in and flagged down William to assist us. From that moment on, everything turned around. William immediately apologized for the delay and took charge of the situation with efficiency and professionalism. Despite the restaurant being so busy, William stayed attentive all evening. Toward the end of our meal, he and the kind woman even surprised me with a delightful birthday dessert. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the night feel extra special. The food? Beyond excellent. Every dish was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I’m so glad I chose this restaurant for my celebration. Thank you, William, and the entire team, for turning what could have been a stressful experience into a memorable birthday dinner! Highly recommend. 🌟

This is a hidden gem. I live close by and had never been here before. I celebrated my birthday with pitchers of margaritas that were perfect. The food was delicious but would benefit from more options. The mole enchiladas were delicious. The flan was also delicious. I will come again.

The staff was very accommodating and kind. I was there with a friend, celebrating her birthday, in a torrential downpour which caused her to be quite late for our reservation due to traffic. They assured us that it was no problem. We enjoyed the Kumamoto oysters, which were very fresh and expertly prepared. We had the zucchini sticks, which were nice and crispy, and came with a bright and delicious dipping sauce. We also ordered the cheesy plate, and were pleasantly surprised by a lovely sweet French toast-like slice of bread along with the lovely selection of cheeses and honeycomb and marmalade. For our mains, we both chose the filet, and we were not disappointed. Very flavorful, and the mushroom risotto they came with was excellent. We will definitely be coming back soon.

The executive chef is Umberto Cannarsa, a successful chef from Rome, who left his own restaurant in Rome to work with Maurizio again. I had been to Ula restaurant a few times. This is my favorite restaurant whenever I go to shows with other friends and I even took my husband to dine at Ula after the show. So I mentioned it to my friends since it is near to Curran theater where we watched the Golden Girls Live show last night. We were accommodated nicely including another person to the reservation. We sat in the back in a beautiful booth. We were given an extra chair for the 5th person. For Tapas, we ordered the Octopus Carpaccio, Chicken Pastry and Truffle Fries. For the Main Plates we had the Spanish Paella & Crema Di Stracciatella and Bread Service. My friends told the server that we were celebrating mine and another friend’s birthday. Also we mentioned that we were going to see a show that the restaurant offers 10% off for restaurant dining. These are good perks they offer from happy hour (20% off), hotel guest (10% off), theatre & concert goers (10% off) & wine shop (50% off to go orders only). The service was superb. The owner passed by and said hello to our table. He was delighted to see us all wearing in red tops. Again the friends mentioned we were celebrating birthdays and after going to see the Golden Girls Live show. He wished me and my friend a happy birthday. The food was so delicious and delectable. My birthday friend ordered margarita for drink and the rest we ordered a bottle of Merlot (Chateau Le Bonnat Graves). I am a Cab person but the Merlot was medium body and was smooth and well-balanced. We the birthday gals were surprised by two separate cakes with candles. We had Tiramisu and Chocolate Truffle Mousse cake. They were so delicious and the flavor was mild and the mousse was rich but not intense. The cakes were complimentary which was a very nice gesture given to us. When we were leaving there was a live music player but the host said they have live player on Thursdays only. It was a beautiful dinner experience we had. I really recommend Ula for any occasions.

Incredible meal! Everything we had was so flavorful and special. Very easy plates to share for two people, and we came out full and satisfied. The food was really good. I had the salmon. The service was excellent! My only complaint is that it was super loud. There was a group of women who were ridiculously loud. We noticed it as soon as we walked in. When seating couples this needs to be taken into consideration. They should have offered us a table in the curtained off room.

I have been there many times, I just had my birthday dinner there. I also have recommended Oculto to many as well, but this past visit was very disappointing. I waited 45 minutes for a drink. I asked many times and the manager? Seemed distracted by my concerns, once I did get my drink, it had a eyelash again I showed and voiced my concerns to the gentleman helping with my table and he did nothing about it, my guest had a problem with her drink as well, very little communication it did turn out he did take it off ( I think but again no communication) The restaurant is not an inexpensive place but that was never a problem because the service, food and drinks we fantastic, unfortunately that was not the case. I know every place has good & bad days but the overall lack of concern was very disappointing
