When dining out rarely do I find every item on the plate not only perfectly prepared but also so flavorful I do not know what to eat next. Halibut is a difficult dish to perfect, but the chef prepared the fish flawlessly. The accompanying vegetables were also over the top. The service was very good, as was the restaurant's atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for foodies.

Simply outstanding. Service. Food quality and presentation. Variety (we chose the tasting menu). Excellent wine tasting to accompany each course. Portion sizes were perfect, my wife and I were both full. And the final accolade - spotless washrooms! Next time in Canmore we’ll be back.

Came here for our anniversary, my boyfriend’s first time. I’ve dined here 15 years ago and remembered it being really good! We were blown away with the flavours! We had the tasting menu and also added the foie gras and beef tartar. I loved every dish but the duck which was a surprise because I love duck! Our waiter was amazing he asked me if he could replace it with something else so I ordered the beef which was delish! I was stuffed at that point. Will definitely be coming back again.

This was our first time there, celebrating a milestone birthday. Just two of us and I cannot say enough about the food and the service and the ambience! We will definitely be back! The service is top-notch, the salad bar had a fantastic selection and was delicious and the meat is so tender and flavourful and no shortage as a just kept coming. The cheese buns and the pineapple and the crème brûlée was just the icing on the cake! Everyone was very friendly and you can definitely tell they love their job! My opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Calgary.!!

We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and it did not disappoint! We had the chefs menu and it was unbelievable. Probably the best meal I've ever had. The flavours were insane. I highly recommend if you are looking to splurge.

The Bow Valley Ranche is located at the end of Bow Bottom Trail SE, in Fish Creek Provincial Park, just follow the signs for Bow Valley Ranche.

The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is the new fine dining facility located in the restored Ranche House. Their menu features a contemporary interpretation of Alberta regional cuisine. Have never had a bad meal or experience here. Truly the best!! The buffalo cauliflower bites are friggen amazing. Bobby was a great server! Wish the garlic butter came more melted on your steak, especially given the price.

Fantastic dinner at Canoe. Such a consistently excellent restaurant. We had the Lobster raviolo - amazing - then the partridge which is superb (check out the instagram video on how its done) and the tuna (also terrific) - then for dessert the peach was the winner but only just as the desserts are always brilliant. Large portions and sooooo tasty. Chefs Rob and Raph (Chef Ron was away) and team are doing an excellent job in helping lead Toronto's fine dining scene with innovation and the best of local ingredients showcasing Canada.

The food is consistently great at this restaurant and the service is fabulous!!!! They have got to know me so they even have my wine bottle ready to open on the table when I arrive. Going to Ernest's was a wonderful experience for our anniversary. The Prosecco, personalized note, apron and anniversary wishes on our plates for the presentation of our desserts were an incredible treat that made the evening special. From the Host, to Servers, they checked-in throughout the evening, to see if we needed anything and promptly refilled water glasses. It was a wonderful experience and a treat to see NAIT students in action. The food presentation was exquisite and the flavours delighted the palette! Thank you to all involved.

They escorted you to your favorite table, positioned in the ideal spot where you could take in the ambiance but still enjoy some quiet privacy. As you settled in, they brought you a glass of water, and the waiter’s knowledge of the menu was impressive. We enjoyed our annual dinner for our Anniversary and it was outstanding and fantastic. The food was delicious, my husband had NewYork strip cooked to his preferred way. I had chicken parm, was large, crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was very inviting and a little romantic. We appreciate the high quality service and acknowledgement of our Anniversary to make us feel extra valued. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Gastown, so I looked forward to showing my SIL this place. As my SIL was still recovering from a bout of diverticulitis, I didn’t order a bottle of wine. I had two wines by the glass, and we shared a few dishes. We started with their fabulous bread service, then a Dungeness Crab salad, an Artichoke tart and their Terrine of Fois Gras. Our “main” was their Agnolotti. I had a glass of 2022 Garnier et Fils Chablis with the salads and a glass of 2016 Synchromesh Pinot Noir from Storm Haven Vineyard in Okanagan Falls, BC with foie gras and agnolotti. The Artichoke Tart was half salad, half egg custard tart with pieces of artichoke between the two. It was a light, refreshing dish. The Dungeness Crab Salad was a visual surprise … the crab was placed between thin slices of radish and decorated with green leaves. It was interesting; perhaps a little too subtle in flavor for me. The foie gras terrine came with two thick pieces of brioche. The square of terrine was decorated with squares of wine jelly, and cherry halves. The terrine was soft and silky and the brioche so buttery. The star of the evening was the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. Pillows of mascarpone pasta were covered with pieces of sweet corn and a generous helping of sliced black truffle. This dish was “to die for” and I wanted to order a second plate. I love the food at L’Abattoir and dine here every time I come to Vancouver.

I took my wife and 2 boys. We enjoyed most of the menu items (growing hunger). We all enjoyed the experience. Food was well presented and a nice palate. Would make a great date night I’m sure also.

Delightful and very attentive service in, an attractive ambience. The food was excellent and well-presented. My only small disappointment was a slightly tough streak and the broccoli. Don't think the chef's heart was in cooking the broccoli! Overall we had an excellent and certainly recommend this restaurant

I went to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife, and we had been there a few times before. The restaurant is very pleasant, and the food was amazing, as always. Our server, Melanie, was very attentive and friendly. On top of that, the restaurant staff was incredibly kind and surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. It was a lovely gesture, and we had a wonderful time!

We celebrated our anniversary, from the time we sat down to the time we left we were treated amazingly. My son and I ordered the lamb which literally fell off the bone. My wife ordered the short rib gnocchi and it was rich and delicious. Thank you Bryan and to the lovely manager (sorry we didn’t catch your name) who served us our wine and photo op.

Delicious meal, excellent service, cozy vibe. Best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time. If you like fresh seafood I highly recommend The Canteen. Oysters, Tuna Ceviche, Crobster Roll and Scallops with Mint Pea Risotto were all wonderful. Mark, our waiter, was really great and made sure we had a lovely Anniversary evening. Can’t wait to go back!

Our experience at The Common Stove on Sept. 12 was very positive. Our server was excellent-knowledgeable and timely. Our food was much above standard restaurant fare, and the sides served with our entrees were truly exceptional. We will be back, even though we don't live nearby.

Was very surprised to see so many vegetables listed in the menu/ The dishes were well done. Enjoyed the appetizers- Gruyere dip n bread, calamari, crab cakes, cauliflower. Lobster Bisque was delish n so were the desserts In all loved it! Thank you!

Had a great evening and enjoyed our dinner. The food is superb and fully meets our expectations for a more refined dinning experience. We were originally going to sit inside however asked to be seated outside which was accommodated without any fuss. Highly recommend the hanger steak and elk. Delicious.

Always a great meal at the Nash. Service is 10/10. This was the YYC EXP and the value was excellent. Shrimp ceviche and pork tenderloin were standouts on the prix fix, but everything was tasty and beautifully presented.

Perhaps the Wooly concept is best represented by renowned Canadian artist Charlie Pachter’s Queen on a Moose” paintings. These pictures conveyed what would happen if a British pub was transferred to Canada. That pub would feature local foods, beverages and decor. It would be an All-Canadian pub featuring the best of the British pub culture. A local or home-base pub for its guests.

The Wooly was inspired by the Ontario micro-brewery explosion that occurred in the late 1980’s. The brewery industry was dominated by 3 large companies for over 40 years until the start of the craft brewery phenomenon. Teaching a course on beers at the University of Guelph Bob Desautels was keenly aware of this development. When an opportunity to open a pub in downtown Guelph emerged he decided to feature only small micro-brews on tap.

The rest is history!

We were a party of 6 for my younger son’s birthday. Service from Lois was top notch as was that from others. The food was excellent. The bacon appetizer is amazing as were the crab cakes. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I didn’t have desert but others did and based on the empty plates, all were enjoyed. A little noisy but the booth helped. We will definitely be back!

Birthday dinner with the family. We were 5, plenty of room. The service was excellent and the server knew the offered products very well and was able to make great recommendations. Too bad the place closed, this was a jewel!
