Wow. Just wow…. I took my fiancé to Allora last night for his birthday. Everything was top notch. The decor, special touches on the menu for his birthday, service, somm….and the FOOD!! So thoughtfully done and delicious. We chose the wine pairing and happy that we did. The sommelier certainly knows what she’s doing. We loved each and every course/pairing. Thank you to ALL who made our experience so wonderful. Needless to say, we will be back ☺️.

Altius at right at the top of the most consistently excellent restaurants in Pittsburgh. The steaks are always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The crab cake stuffed Dover sole was a phenomenal special. The service was exemplary even for a modern fine dining spot. Already looking forward to our next visit.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles and two very friendly hosts who promptly took our coats and sat my father and i while we were waiting for the rest of our party. Jake was our server and he did an incredible job at greeting us right away and letting us settle in with some great cocktail suggestions. We had 3 courses, all of which were not only delicious, but delivered promptly and courteously. Jake really helped us figure out what to order given some of our dietary restrictions, and his service not only was warm and relaxed but also very knowledgeable and precise. The lobster gnocchi, pork chop, and the feature ribeye were definitely stand outs. Food was cooked perfectly, drinks from the bar were served cold and crisp (thanks luke!), and the autumn orchard dessert was the cherry on top of a memorable evening! 11 out of 10. they recognized my dads birthday and jake even went as for to congratulate a recent engagement at our table. Perfect spot to take anyone for a special occasion. Thank you everyone at altius for making our evening so special!

Top notch service and provisions from the pre-dinner cocktail to the desserts. I had lamb as my main course and it was delicious. My wife had the beef and loved it also. Beautiful setting and as I said, superb service. I look forward to visiting during the day to enjoy the view.

One of the best meals ever. The service was amazing, friendly, thoughtful and without arrogance. The food was perfect and each item was the best version of that food I have ever had. Dover Sole, Mac and Cheese, ribeye, lamb, Brussels and the unforgettable, almost ordered 2-Caesar Salad. But yes, it is not cheap. Worth the trip for sure.

We had an exceptional birthday celebration this past Saturday night. Dan was an amazing host, bar tender, sommelier and made the evening so special. The French food was out of this world!! The duck breast was a bit chewy for my liking. The cessation salad, foi gras was so delicate. We had the halibut and scallop dish which were really delicate and beautifully prepared. The birthday girl had the soufflé with crème anglaise!! I had the chocolate pot de crème which was so decadent. We will definitely be back thank you Dan

We had the sprouts salad, which was amazing..the garlic shrimp...definitely ask for the extra bread..the octopus which was a total surprise..so soft and well prepared...and to close the night we had the paella with sea food..it was so much that we took some home and we will have it for lunch :) will definitely return.

Great experience! Our waitress Tiffany was excellent and detailed oriented! She constantly checked on us to make sure the food came out right and our waters were filled. Started off with complimentary valet parking (tips are always good). Next up was a welcome greeting at the door. Customer service continued to be great with our fantastic waitress. Overall the customer service is top notch. The food simply stated was wonderful! My wife & I celebrated our anniversary here, we received complimentary glasses of champagne to make the day a little more special. We tried different dishes from different flights for the main course. All were wonderful with a great plate presentation. Followed up with Creme Brule that was 5 stars!

This is perhaps the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. It is a high end place but the value for the quality is excellent. The food was outstanding from the warm biscuits to the fabulous lobster dumplings to the Pompano fish to the bread pudding dessert. All four of us raved about our meals. The servers were wonderful. The noise level was pretty high. One server did put the entre and the dessert in front if the wrong person but that's the only possible criticism I can offer. This was an amazing dining experience.

I took my wife to Joe’s for our anniversary. Having worked in the Union Trust Building 50 years prior, she was excited to see its transformation. Upon arrival, to being seated and meeting our waiter Patrick, the evening didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing. You can’t go wrong with whatever your palate desires. My husband and I had a special dinner here during our honeymoon! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional! Clearly professional as expected from such an esteemed restaurant, but still warm and welcoming. We felt very well looked after. We got the most beautiful table, which elevated the experience further. We ordered the degustation and added on the vanilla soufflé and every dish was delicious and different - it felt familiar yet innovative. We were so so full when we left! Highly recommend!

I liked the location of the restaurant, just off the main rd, away from the hustle and bustle of Hanover St. The staff was welcoming and service was great throughout dinner. The food was excellent. The level of service was outstanding here, we went to celebrate our birthdays and we were greeted with special menus congratulating us on our birthdays which was nice to see. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, attentive, and nice throughout our whole dinning experience. Now the food, we went there to specifically try the selections of A5 Wagyu and it did not disappoint. Although pricey, trying all of their higher graded Wagyu (we did 2oz of each) was a delight, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. It was also really cool to learn about the RPM exclusive grade (our favorite). The sides and appetizers were also very good and matched the presentation of the steak. A cool callout was the cotton candy you get for celebrating an occasion there.

Although reservations were a bit challenging to make, it was worth the wait. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Kudos to a well-run establishment! The food went beyond expectations and Chef Jamie Knott is to be commended. My dietary challenges were addressed with no fuss. I ordered the the side artichokes as an appetizer; and as I am unable to have cheese, they were prepared with butter, lemon and lovely seasoning - very tasty. I had the halibut special which was cooked to perfection. I was asked the doneness preference which surprised me as even in the best seafood establishments this is never asked. I don't like overdone halibut, but slightly moist but firm. It was delightful and utterly delicious! Such flavor! My husband ordered the Spanish octopus appetizer which was so tender and so tasty. His entre consisted of the lamb chops which were cooked to a lovely tender pink and were delectable. We split the mini chocolate cakes which were yummy! Service was spot on - all you had to do was look up if you needed something, and our server was there. I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone was. All in all, a wonderful experience.

We always have a great meal at Sotto, but Jason S went above & beyond to make this dinner amazing! He went out of his way to help us celebrate and continued checking in on us the entire meal to make sure everything was perfect! Thanks Jason & Sotto for another amazing meal!

As alway, everything was perfect. From service (Lotte), to my drink, and all the food. I only wish I was more hungry. We had an app, a salad, 2 entrees and a dessert. It was all great. I look forward our next visit, which we already planned.

Was a truly incredible experience. My girlfriend and I came to celebrate my birthday and we had Ivy as our waitress. She perfectly coursed out our meal and made incredible recommendations!
