Altius at right at the top of the most consistently excellent restaurants in Pittsburgh. The steaks are always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The crab cake stuffed Dover sole was a phenomenal special. The service was exemplary even for a modern fine dining spot. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Our Anniversary dinner at Altius was the most outstanding meal we have had in years! We started with a glass of their featured red wine from Napa. It was amazingly smooth and rich. (We need to get the name so we can be sure to purchase some for at home.) We chose the Heron Point Crab toast for our appetizer. Such sweet, delicious crab on a toasted baguette for my husband and on a toasted Gluten-free roll for me! What a treat, as I very rarely get to savor such a fine appetizer. Truffled Porcini Bisque was delightfully enjoy by my husband, while I savored the amazing Poached Pear Salad. The chef also sent us a taste of her delicious squash soup. For our entrees, my husband absolutely devoured the Heritage Breed Tomahawk Pork Chop, with the addition of the onions and mushrooms--the best he has ever had! For me, I was absolutely thrilled with the Chilean Sea Bass with jumbo lump crab, fricassee of Chanterelle mushroom and Brussel sprouts, caviar & leek fondue, which the chef prepared on her risotto instead of the crepe, so I could enjoy it gluten-free. I finished my meal with a perfect cappuccino. We were impressed from start to finish. We will return to Altius!

We chose Auberge du Soleil for our New Year day Brunch. We were so lucky because the weather was beautiful on New Year day which was perfect for outdoor setting. This is our second time to this restaurant. We were very impressed the first time so we wanted to come back. The Brunch is fixed 3 courses menu including sparkling wine, Mimosa. Auberge du Soleil Rose. It also comes with complimentary bread and muffin which is very good. We had Shrimp salad, Gnocchi, Tuna, Omelet. For desserts, we had Apple tart and trio fruit sorbets. My favorite part was the dessert. They were so delicious. My husband loved Shrimp salad and Tuna. Tuna cooked perfect. The day was sunshine so we had great view. After meal, we also asked to have self walking tour at their sculpture garden. It was good to have some walk after Brunch and was interesting to see different sculptures if you do not mind to walk some stairs. The service was excellent. All people we contacted were very warm and friendly. I forgot my camera and got back immediately. The hotel front desk was happy to get us a key for garden tour. They have valet service on site for parking. Overall, we had a perfect day on the first day of 2023!

This is the best meal we have had in quite awhile! Everything was excellent, from the salad and the best hamachi crudo ever to the filets oscar we had, cooked perfectly and loaded with lump crabmeat! Add that to some great cocktails and it was the perfect dinner to start 2023 off with!!! Cheers!

We love this restaurant! We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Every dish is delicious and beautifully plated without being too fussy or pretentious. The service is fantastic and the servers are very knowledgeable about the food and wine. It’s expensive, as restaurants of this caliber are, but I would rather spend the money for what I know will be a memorable dining experience than spend thirty percent for a mediocre meal. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite restaurant! As usual the food, service and ambience was outstanding!!! It is so nice to enjoy an evening out, where I do not have to shout to speak to the person directly across the table from me!!! Another minor perk is that valet parking is only $7.00 !!! Unheard of nowadays!!!!

Great experience. We had the sprouts salad, which was amazing..the garlic shrimp...definitely ask for the extra bread..the octopus which was a total surprise..so soft and well prepared...and to close the night we had the paella with sea food..it was so much that we took some home and we will have it for lunch :) will definitely return.

Consistently the best restaurant experience in the Puget Sound area. Chef makes a menu that is somehow seasonally appropriate and interesting. Service is top notch. Every time I have entertained clients or had a special family event everyone is raving at the end of the experience.

1/1/23 Service was great , very attentative Food , a bit saltier for me but everything was delicious ! I had bone in rib-eye , highly recommend , shared the portion cause it was a lot 22 oz . Lobster mash - chunks of lobster Truffle Mac and cheese so flavorful ! Everything was cooked to perfection ! Ending with banana forester , great presentation , shared by 4 was enough ! What a great way to start the New year 2023 !

Le Colonial has the benefit of a 5 Star "starting point" simply because it is my wife's favorite restaurant in Chicago. To qualify this, my wife has excellent taste, so, you could argue that my 5 Star proclivity is warranted..... Beyond that though, the elegant environment with soft lighting, formal (but not stuffy) decor, and an overall soothing & seductive ambiance. The service is attentive & we have enjoyed exploring the menu which never fails to delight. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous setting in the upstairs dining room, staff was welcoming and attentive, service was impeccable, and food was thoughtfully prepared and flavorful, although everything was very rich. Steaks were excellent. This is not a place for counting calories or paying attention to your cholesterol. Or for watching your pennies. My only reservation about recommending it is that (on a Wednesday at 6pm) the music was extremely loud and jarring, making it sound more like a club than a fine dining restaurant. This really dampened my enjoyment of the dining experience. I noticed that the tables downstairs in the bar were a bit quieter, so that’s where I would book on a second visit.

We absolutely enjoyed our first visit to The Optimist. We had 8 PM reservations to enjoy our anniversary dinner, arrived about 10 mins early and were seated immediately. We enjoyed everything from our drinks (cocktail and beer) to the fish chowder and crab claws, arctic char and burger (my husband is very picky about his burgers lol). Yes, the music was a little louder than I would expect for the establishment. However the noise level was nowhere near bad for us since we were sitting in a booth, beside one another. We shall return!

We live in NH and come here at least once a year. The food and the service are the best in the city. White truffles in season, amazing! Great wine selection, and no rush to turn the table over quickly. We had a wonderful, relaxing and romantic dinner. We cannot say enough.

What an amazing experience! I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on Jan 1 and they did not disappoint! We were given a personalized menu that wished me a Happy Birthday printed right on it! Talk about a big smile on my face! The service was spectacular and the appetizer, drinks and food were scrumptious! They also surprised me and my husband with complimentary glasses of the best tasting champagne to toast with and a lovely end to the evening with a candle lit birthday dessert 😁 Thank you Southern Social for making my birthday celebration a special one!

I went on a Sunday night for a solo dinner and everything was fantastic from the ambiance to the service to the food. The salmon collar and pan fried mashed potatoes were DELICIOUS and the biscuits are a must.

Eddie our server was wonderful and attentive. The food was beyond amazing with the sweetest Alaskan King Crab legs I've ever had. Steak tender juicy and well seasoned. Sea bass just perfect. We will be back!

A classic Austin establishment. Overall an amazing restaurant and experience. Seafood is extremely fresh and the service is great. One of the most consistent places in town. Only critique I would have is to warm their plates for hot dishes. The lobster bisque was perfect but it was poured at the table into a room temp/cooler plate. The soup cooled quickly and we all felt more rushed to enjoy it. Similar story with the risotto and scallops. Small detail but a place of trulucks caliber it stands out.

Incredible as always. Sat at the sushi bar, unfortunately the sushi chef did take a very long time between sending us pieces, so we had to rush at the end to give our seats to the next reservation which feels bad if you’re spending so much on a meal. But anything is worth getting to eat the gyutoro and fried milk.

I always love Uchiko. The food is always amazing. My only complaint- I had specifically mentioned that we were celebrating my son’s birthday and they never acknowledged it. Our server was lovely though and clearly she wasn’t told. Make sure to order Hama Chili, Komaki roll and Madai nigiri- our 3 favorite menu items.
