Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. Fish is of course wild, sustainable, and British, sourced from day boats on the South coast with the daily catch delivered straight to the door in a matter of hours. A busy Saturday night and we weren't surprised at all. The Bank is popular for good reason. Great food choices, friendly staff and a lovely setting. We were informed as to when our table would be ready and were served drinks while waiting. The food choices are great and if it's your first time, you'll need to be prepared to write your own order on the pre-printed sheet. The food came out in very good time and together, despite us ordering quite a few dishes. Taste and flavours were lovely. Staff were attentive without being fussy. Highly recommend.

The food was really good.. the service was okay ish - a few things were not quite right, we had two steaks but my wife ended up with my medium rare one and visa versa. We didn’t have any steak knives so it was a bit of a sawing effort to cut through them.. but they were cooked well and good quality! We were offered an aperitif when we arrived but there was many gins to chose from but not written down anywhere.. great to have a choice but you can’t choose something if you don’t know the choice is! We ordered and starters came.. really good.. and then the steaks .. but we had no wine.. we finally got the wine list and ordered but we didn’t get the wine until after we had eaten the steak which defeated the whole reason for having it in the first place! Nobody offered coffee so we paid and went home.. I found afterwards that 14 covers were booked and they ended up doing 42 .. there was staff for 14! So this could explain some of the service issues.. It’s a lovely place, stunning views, great food, good beer.. we will definitely go back! I think tonight was a bit of a one off..

A veritable Cotswolds institution for over forty-five years, William’s has recently benefitted from a full-scale refurbishment of both the restaurant and shop area in January 2020.

Alongside a 64-cover new restaurant sits a new fish counter displaying an outstanding range of fresh seafood, delivered daily from Scotland and the South West coastline. The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

We are proud to have been voted one of Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’ and one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’.

Staff smiled and said Hi, then the manager Immediately took charge with banter and smiles. We were seated at a lively window seat. From then on it ran like clockwork. Drinks order. Drinks served. Food order taken. Food served. Sauces asked and given. Food was so good. I could not stop eating. Hot, fresh and full of flavour. It was huge, and then the veg came. Wow. We are back on Londaon again after 20+ years and dragged friends with us. Had fantastic "Seafood Tower" appetizers. Most of us were so filled we then had appetizers for main course. Great wine. Great friendly service. Great views. Yes...... it's pricey. You're paying for the views and the FINE Dining expereince. They have been there since 1981 so they are clearly doing things right. About the restaurant
In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food.  The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile.  Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage?  That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.

We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.

Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.
