In 2005, we started as a family business, and our family-style approach of offering genuine hospitality and meals designed for conversation has always been the heart of A Touch of Salt. Over the years, we have perfected our restaurant to become one of the best casual fine-dining restaurants in the North.

We take pride in being appreciated by the locals of Townsville as well as travellers from all over Australia.

Always, a wonderful dinner there. This was the second time we dined at Bistro Elba. We wanted to come back because the food was very good and the service, too. We were not dissappointed; glad that we made the right decision

We went expecting something nice and got far more. Wonderful ambience, delicious food, and a cheerful hostess, Julia. Everyone was nice. We ordered cured kingfish, seafood linguine, gnocchi, fish of the day, sorbeto and gelato. Every bite has kept me reeling even now. We went for birthday lunch with friends. We were made very welcome and seated immediately. The waiter Aaron was exceptional in his knowledge of the menu and we appreciated his suggestions. The food was delicious.

So pleased that it was open on a public holiday. I took some "senior"American friends and my adult children . The Americans thought it was fabulous ( just a bit too noisy). We had a most enjoyable evening.

Been to this restaurant several times and it never lets you down for its food and service. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Good value for money as well. Can get a little noisy but not so bad that you can’t hear someone next to you. Highly recommended.
