The food is always outstanding whether it's one of the specialty entree plates or going with Tacos Ala carte (The Pato duck taco is my fav). The Cocktails are stellar, especially the Blood and Smoke! My favorite destination for out of town guests for an excellent Austin experience.

This place is a gem !!! Fresh and wholesome farm to table delicious food. Our waiter and host were terrific. Just a personal pet peeve of mine is not enjoying having to order my food all at once. It would have been nice to have the food more staggered. Overall, a restaurant that I love to return to.

Start with an appetizer like the Cuban nachos, papa rellena, croquettes, and empanadas. Feel like sharing? Get the tropical ceviche, sweet plantains (maduros) or the yucca fries. For the main course, try the world-famous Cuban sandwich, carne con pappa, chuleta fritas (fried pork chops), arroz con pollo, or the ropa vieja. Our full-service bar also serves the best mojitos and pina coladas in town along with a plethora of rum-based drinks.

We enjoyed our meal at Habana although I found the Vaca Frita far too greasy. My wife's Cuban sandwich was a bit too dry. The service was excellent as were our appetizers. We will try another Cuban restaurant before returning.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Arlo Grey. We enjoyed the beignets + endive and potato salad for the starter course. Next course was the crispy rice, which my dining guest wasn't sure would be exciting and she was pleasantly surprised. We loved mashing and mixing ingredients together and really like the grean beans mixed in. We had the poached fish and brick half chicken. I was a big fan of the fish. I will definitely return. We caught a bit of the sunset view. You can't beat the location. Cocktail list is playful. Sadly we didn't have room for dessert due to the fact that we ate all of the sticky rice.

About the restaurant
Saffron serves an eclectic mixture of traditional Indian Cuisine punctuated by the flavors of the Himalayas. Our food stand true to its roots and origin while we source most of our produce locally. All dishes, sauces, naans and desserts are made in house from scratch. We are proud to be the first restaurant in Austin with a dedicated Nepalese menu. Nepal is a land of many flavors, while many of its dishes are indigenous and indicative of its culture and people, while few are inspired by its immediate neighbors, India and China. Our Nepalese menu is a thoughtful mix of both.
