For a Friday night the staff seemed surprised that it would be busy. It took 20 mins and a prompt to get a simple beer, we had to ask to order our food and then had to wait a very long time for anything to arrive, including a basket of bread. Getting anything to drink was challenging as the bar we’re dealing with some espresso martinis and the one bar man was overwhelmed.
Very disappointing and due to the wait the food, which was perfectly nice, became a bit irrelevant as we had been waiting too long.
Will not be returning anytime soon
An excellent gem in the heart of Mayfair - staff are friendly and knowledgeable. some great stables but a changing menu and fixed price lunch option are great for a working lunch.
Superb Service and Outstanding Food! Love this place!
A very friendly venue, situated just off one of the main thoroughfares in London. Intimate and cosy, the menu is seasonal and inviting with the cocktail bar and sommelier friendly and approachable. A top place in my eyes.
Great selection of vegetarian and fish dishes. Also, a good selection of wines and a very helpful sommelier. The restaurant is vibrant and lively, probably a little loud if you are looking for a business meeting venue or an intimate date nigh, but for a fun night with really good food, can highly recommend.
Had a lovely afternoon, felt looked after and food was superb
Best food tasted in a while. Great atmosphere and fabulous staff. Praise to the very knowledgeable Sommelier Manuel who made our evening lots of fun with amazing wine selections to match.
Tasty food but very small portions for the price. Crab starter was two teaspoons of crab for £18 and chicken main was a chicken breast with a few dots of pomme puree for £28. Not value for money and would not recommend for this reason. Nice ambiance and attentive service, but long gap between the starter and main.
Fantastic ! Excellent food, clearly noisy after 7:30pm which could be a bit annoying but really worth it though ! My Fourth time at Little Social in the last 15 months and always thinking: Why am I not coming more often ?!
Very disappointing. Cramped, dark and VERY VERY NOISY. We could hardly hear each other speak and had to abandon discussing the upcoming work plans. It was not clear on booking on line that the table was only for 2 hours. We were buzzed by the staff to get us off the table. They said we could sit in the bar. But the bar is next to the exit door and consists of 5-6 high stools that were in fact occupied, so by 9.15 we were out on the street.
The fixed price menu was very disappointing, the mains was a burgers or mussles, hardly fine cuisine.
Will not return ever or recommend!
Entrees are rather small. Not a great value. Would have expected more attentive service for the price range- waiters took a long time to fill water glasses, get the check, etc. I finished my beer before the entree came and it was only until I had finished my entree as well (20 minutes later) that I was asked if I wanted another.
Very friendly staff with a great atmosphere. The food was fantastic even down to the bread you are given as an appetiser, the pork was amazing and would definitely recommend.
Service was not great. Our side dishes were forgotten and had to be re-ordered after mains had arrived and eaten after the main meals (waitress did not offer to remove these from bill; we had to awkwardly suggest it). The Jerusalem salad (I think around £13/£14) is small and bland (something you could have fixed at home at a cost of £1.50). The main - stone bass - was very good. Sommelier was forcefully trying to sell us two glasses of champagne, although we had noted that we wanted to start off with a cocktail. Wine list is good.
Overall - good food and ambience but ok experience.
I love this lively little restaurant. Great food and service as always.
Client dinner amazing food 800 worth of super wines too.... happy client happy all round
Great I will certainly be going back
Food and service was perfect
Great service, friendly and attentive. We were there for an early sitting but wasn't rushed. Food was excellent, Prix Fix menu was good value. Would go again back if in the area!
Excellent food, service and location. A bit noisy on a Saturday night so better for a table of 2 (although potentially the back room is quieter)
Will definitely be going back
Very pleasant food in relaxed surroundings, friendly helpful service and an excellent wine list
Excellent service from well trained staff which complimented the food. The food is good, think French classics with the odd twist. Like so many French restaurants, the food is good value but the wine is not. I would definitely visit again.
Lovely attentive service and wonderful food. 3 courses with a bottle of wine cost just over £200 for 2 people. We loved it and will return.
Enjoyable pre-theatre meal. A little disappointed that non-veggie main option on the pre-theatre menu was a burger but it was well presented and tasty.
Our friend from NY was in town so we wanted to organise a wonderful dinner with great ambience, food and wine. This restaurant hits the spot and save room for their apple tartin! ... spoil yourself and order the truffle buratta (you only live once!) I would like to mention that they did not seat us until 45 minutes after our booking but accommodated this by providing a round of vintage champagne on the house and apologising profusely for the delay with the chef even coming out to greet us at the door.!...The staff were gracious and genuine in their customer service and ensured we were happy clients who would return... which we will certainly be doing!
Lovely and so cosy
Great for parties of 6-8 which is harder to get a table for in London
Disappointing evening- waited over an hour for our table hence not hungry by the time we did eat. Shame as our first time to this restaurant a couple of years back had been very good. We won’t be going back as London has much better places.
The line caught cod with persil sauce was excellent as was the spaghetti with seafood ordered by my friend. Good recommendation for the wine to accompany the fish. Friendly and helpful service.
Very good food and wine in an intimate setting. This was just as enjoyable and equally high standard as our first visit.
Excellent food - the eel, ox cheek and ribeye steak were amazing, and the sides (broccoli and chips) ample and very good quality. Wish we could have finished them! Great vodka martinis to start with too!
Would thoroughly recommend this cosy, brasserie-style venue. Would have preferred a wider choice of wines in the lower price bracket but otherwise we look forward to a return visit in the not-too-distant future!
We were a party of 6 for an 80th Birthday celebration and we sat in the semi-private room at the back of the restaurant.
It was a perfect setting as with the oval table and being slightly away from the main body of the restaurant the sound levels were perfect to have a conversation and for the two 80 year olds to hear easily.
Food as ever was exceptional with the Cote De Boeuf being a real delight. No disappointments at all on the menu front. We ordered the special tarte tartin which was another amazing
Service outstanding and attentive and good recommendations from the sommelier.
Probably my 4th time at Little Social and never disappoints.
While the food is outstandingly good, the wine list has disappointingly few reasonably priced options. The cote du rhone we ordered (£48 i think) was good, but one of only a handful of bottles under £50. Service was patchy - on the positive side they were accommodating of a friend who joined us last minute, but then we had to ask a few times before they took our drink orders. Still the food was great - the burrata with pear, the squash salad & crab mayo on brioche (starters) were perfectly balanced in flavours, and the ox cheek & cottage pie had amazing depth of slow cooked caramelised flavours. The weakest link was a steak tartare that didn’t have enough in the way of texture or flavour (eg capers, cornichons etc).
Including 3 glasses of champagne and the bottle of wine, the total came to £250 for 3. I’d go back in dry Jan maybe - so that I have some more wine options to choose from!
First class. Thanks again for the booth!
Spectacularly good. Great ambience, perfect service and amazing food. One of my favourite London restaurants.
We came to Little Social for lunch. They have a great value set menu though we chose a la carte. The service and food were excellent with friendly helpful staff. The sommelier and maitre d’ were great. Will certainly go again.
such a lovely place for friends with a very comfortable mood and a delicious food
I really wanted to love this place. I booked on opentable and saw that on the Little Social website (and Opentable) that there was a fixed price menu until 7.15 each weeknight. I booked the table for 7pm, arrived at 6.55pm and was given the a la carte menu. When I asked about the set priced menu I was informed it finished at 7pm. My friend and I were excited to try this place and the set menu made it seem more appealing for a Monday night meal in the middle of January.
So, we ordered from the A La Carte menu. The portions were absolutely miniscule! The food was also pretty unremarkable.
The service was, however, excellent. Our waiter was so attentive, our glasses never empty.
Our bill was £110 for 2 main courses and a carafe of wine. You can get much better in town for that price.
Really disappointing. Two good plates out of the five that we had. Poor value for money, particularly the starter portions of vegetarian salad at 13.50 each which were wholly unremarkable. service rushed and disorganised.
Have eaten at lots of Jason atherton's place... pollen street social, social eating house, social wine and tapas, sosharu, berners tavern... this is not in the same league and feels like a cheeky attempt to lift average margins across the group. Poor show.
We loved the limited menu with wine. Excellent starter and dessert and very good main. Comfortable, intimate setting.
The waiters were lovely. So attentive, helped me find the perfect wine with my dinner. Had a little wine tasting! The soup was so so tasty probably the best iv had. The burger I think was slightly overcooked as it was slightly dry but I will mention it next time as I enjoyed it and will be going back
