The Asian inspired afternoon tea was a real treat. There were 6 in our party so we had three traditional afternoon teas and three Asian inspired ones, on the recommendation of our waiter, who was very friendly and helpful. To top it all it was a beautiful autumn afternoon and the views over London were fabulous. I would recommend it highly. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Very pleasant lunch. Very good food well presented. Service was good. Impressive location. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Well organised greeting and pre dinner drinks at East before being taken to our table spot on time. Great menu and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted divine. Wine service was a bit slow and we had to ask several times for an additional glass of wine. Annoying given the standard service charge that’s applied. Stunning views of course! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Words simply cannot describe our experience. Food, ambience and service all outstanding. Every mouthful was an incredible taste explosion. Our waiter was right when he told us that chocolate shouldn’t work with some dishes, but it does. All in all a fantastic experience which I’m looking forward to repeating very soon! London Grind is a fun and trendy place to go for brunch. In fact, this is their USP - all day brunch. Food was hipster and pretty good, although the all day breakfast was fairly style over substance. It was ok, but the 'artisan bread' was burnt (I think they were going for this, but over did it) and the black pudding did not taste like black pudding. Everything on the menu seemed to have avocado. I'm being slightly cynical, but the coffee, atmosphere and service were very good. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Had lunch to celebrate friend's 50th wedding anniversary. The staff were all very friendly and were aware of the reason for our being there. So much so the chef had placed a 'Happy Anniversary' around the desert dishes of the happy couple. The food and drink were faultless, other than the wine was a little pricey. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Another excellent meal here, been a few times now. We would certainly return again for another visit. The biriyani was a particular highlight, and the other dishes were good too, although puddings not great and served in their packets. Service was slightly too slow/inattentive but overall a great meal. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Nice comfort food on a cool evening and a few good cocktails and by the river so able to watch the world go by. Good bar area for pre and post dinner drinks. Good selection on the menu. Everything we had was tasty - camembert, crab with avocado, fish pie and steak. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I was really looking forward to dinner at AquaShard and whilst the food, ambience and the views were amazing there were a few small items that left me feeling a little disappointed. Firstly I would not have expected to pay a service charge for a drink at the bar that I ordered, waited for and paid the bar tender directly. (Especially as I had waited 15 mins to order the drink). The service charge was not discretionary. Secondly, after finishing our meal we had wanted to order cocktails. It was busy so I appreciate the table was needed but we did feel quite rushed. Getting a table at the bar for cocktails seemed to be an issue also. The waiter offered to check if there was room at the bar but came back to tell us it was very busy. However when we walked through to the bar area it was relatively quiet with many free tables. Finally the cloakroom was very unorganised. There were people in front of me waiting for missing items and when my items were returned (separately even though they were put in together) they were handed to someone else. These are small things but I feel add to the overall experience. Food and views were amazing nonetheless. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Just what we wanted after attending an event at the Times building. We arrived at 9.00pm and enjoyed the food, which was unpretentious and delicious. Being mid-week there were not many people around so it was quiet. Overall: Very good MoreOpenTable Diner -
Excellent food, really good standard and good selection on menu to suit all tastes. We were a group of 8 and were seated in a room on our own which was much appreciated as we were able to chat easily. There is a bar area which was very well supported on the Friday evening we visited. Our Waitress was first class, really excellent service No complaints at all, everyone enjoyed the evening and everyone was impressed by the quality of the food and service. Will definitely return again and also for lunch, so good to support a independent restaurant and not a Chain! The fun part for us as a group, our great grandfathers had served as firemen there in 1900...how things change! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Staff were excellent, food was very good with a nice simple menu, wines are a bit pricey but in line with most establishments in London. As its a basement venue, there is no cellular signal. I would recommend Balls Brothers.. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The name GŎNG derives from the Chinese word ‘dougong’ – a unique structural element of interlocking wooden brackets commonly seen in traditional Chinese architecture and featured throughout the sky-high venue.
The elevated space’s design is inspired by the mythical aspect of cinnabar, a mineral historically used to create the ‘dragon red’ walls of Chinese Imperial Palaces and believed to enhance positive energy. With interiors reminiscent of the traditional boudoirs of the West, GŎNG’s design incorporates a contemporary twist to promote modern Asian aesthetics.

A two minute stroll from London Bridge station, Heeltap is contemporary on the inside with an uplit bar, comfy sofas, high seating, meeting room and a semi private party space and boasts a secluded courtyard outside. Open at weekends, this is the place to watch any of the sporting fixtures on Sky — and the managers playlist pulls in a good crowd in the evenings. A fantastic selection of draught and bottled beers, an outstanding wine list, Champagne, premium spirits and classic cocktails. The menu features sharing platters, tasty mains, sandwiches, small plates and daily specials throughout the day.More
Every time I've been I have been struck by how friendly the staff are. So nice to see in a busy London bar. The cocktails were passable, the olives were fantastic. Not a lot of choice for vegans and the wine list is not marked for vegan friendly bottles, but that was OK. MoreOpenTable Diner -
An excellent restaurant with the personal touch. To be constantly referred to by your name by the manager is a great touch. The layout does however need to be changed to avoid takeaway customers walking past and knocking tables. The tables themselves were a little on the small side and not big enough even for everything for a small meal for 2. The food was good and well proportioned. I would definitely dine here again but would ask not to be sat by the kitchen area by the main corridor. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Number 1 London is located in a vibrant area, and is the only venue in the area that offers grill & steak house, pool tables, dance floors, smoking balcony and large sports screens, all put into one exiting place AND the only one that opens until 6am!!!
We are now offering a more sophisticated cuisine with knowledgeable service and a persistent creativity & energy.
Among others around the area, we are the first ones to abandon pretension and formality in favour of a more casual, but no less expert, service style and to let each customer set his/her own standard of attire. Offering a new modern chic style restaurant on the downstairs, for celebrating all kind of occasion or even just to catch up with a friend over a dinner.
Every Friday evening we offer live music. Rest assure to listen to the best of Jazz, Soul, Bossa Nova, Latin classics and acoustic cover.
Velo serves lovely healthy Vietnamese style food. The menu is fairly small but each dish is fresh tasting and flavoursome. I'd recommend this place if you're wanting to eat out but watching the waistline! Lovely spring rolls and I would definitely recommend the Viet Chicken Curry. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The ASK Italian restaurant in Spice Quay, Butler’s Wharf, offers a great spot to dine on the waterfront. Our restaurant, with a large part-covered outside dining area, looks out over the River Thames towards St Katharine Docks on the north bank.
The iconic Tower Bridge is to your left – an extra special treat when lit up at night. Our chefs create quite a few treats of their own. We’ve come up with a menu that includes contemporary cuisine and traditional dishes – made with Italian ingredients and real Italian flair.
So if you’re heading south of the river, you’ll find us equidistant between London Bridge and Bermondsey tube stations, just round the corner from the fantastic Design Museum.More
Despite its relative youth, our coffee house has developed in to a place where people from all over London, from all walks of life, come to meet. Everyone from students to successful entrepreneurs, actors, doctors, and nurses frequent our house. Since 1698, when the London coffee house cemented itself as the quintessential melting pot of political, philosophical and creative debate, independent businesses have competed to serve the best cup of ‘syrup of soot and essence of old shoes’. Today, no more will ‘essence of old shoes’ satisfy our discerning palettes, but the vibrant social scene has remained as popular as ever. We opened our doors with the aim to recapture the spirit of coffee houses of old; offering the best coffee, the best food and the best service we can. More
