Me and my friend really enjoyed our afternoon tea. It was nice to come into a lovely hotel that was nice and cool and out of the heat. I would definitely come again when in the area. For afternoon tea with my friends. We was looked after and anything we asked for we got. MoreOpenTable Diner -
A friend and I went to Al Forno for dinner before going to a concert in the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. It is a nice and friendly place and the food is lovely as well. You get really good value for money and the portions are huge - so we were struggling a bit to eat both a starter and main. Can only recommend this place and it just around the corner from the concert place. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I tried out Ajanta when last going to a concert at the Empire. So, back at the Empire we dropped in for a pre-show bite. It was just as good as I remembered with a friendly welcome. I shared with daughter and we had the lamb karahi which was deliciously tender and king prawn jalfrezi which had real bite. Fortunately daughter had remembered to order some raita to keep us cool. Will be back next time I'm at the Empire. MoreOpenTable Diner -
After coming here a few years ago, we fell in love with the food. We were so excited when Jamie Italian open multiple restaurants in Toronto...let’s just say we are glad we tried it here first. So, when we return to London for a visit, it is the first restaurant we hit. We were not disappointed at all. Our server, Iryna, was very friendly and helpful with choosing our courses, and her recommended choices hit our cravings perfectly. Our small Seafood Salad is not what we are used to, but she convinced us to try it, and it was amazing. the seasoning, sauce, how it is put together is just right on point. My wife normally would not eat beats but she finished half of the beats. That’s how good it was seasoned and cooked. My wife choose to have the Small Seafood Linguine. The seafood was fresh, for sure, and it was cooked in fish stock instead of the usual cream sauce. The seasoning was just brilliant! Everything come together just the way it should. My wife also very appreciative of the perfect portion. She could have more, but then she will have no room for dessert. To be honest, I was a little jealous of her dish and wish there was more. Not that I don’t like my dish, because I love mine. The pulled lamb was braised in a LOT of red wine and Iryna was not exaggerating, as you can taste the wine but not the alcohol, so it was full of flavours. The pasta was cooked just right and complimented the lamb just the way it should. I could have more, but HAVE to save room for dessert. After much deliberation, we settled on The Ambassador. Normally, we could each have our own, but since we only had lunch three hours ago, we can’t. The Ambassador was the right choice for us to hit the spot. The chocolate covered chocolate moose was just the right amount of chocolate, not overdoing it at all, and when have it with the ice cream and the toffee sauce, each spoonful just make your mouth go “mmmmm”. The service was good, our waitress was friendly and explained what things were, attentive, my only complaint was that one of the portions of pork rib was cremated, we brought it to her attention and she offered to replace, we said no as we had been happy with what we had eaten, she then offered a free drink, again we said no, the reason for telling her about the meat was so that she could tell the chef and hopefully no one else would get something like that served to them. We would go back but we would try something different from the menu, we had the large sharing platter. MoreOpenTable Diner -
My mother-in-law was visiting so I booked Cafe Concerto at Westfield White City for an afternoon tea. We were impressed with the service, the food was lovely (classic sandwiches that were nice and fresh and big scones with plenty of cream and jam, then an enticing array of delicious cakes and mousses) and I felt it was definitely value for money. We couldn't eat everything but our leftovers were elegantly boxed up for us to take away. The only let-down was the ladies' loos - they need some work done to match the general ambience of the place as they were a little below par! But all in all a really lovely afternoon tea experience and my mother-in-law was impressed and wants a return visit! MoreOpenTable Diner -
You know, you might think that our burgers take only minutes. Well, they do and they don’t. They arrive in minutes but in fact the secrets behind them have taken a lifetime. Many lifetimes in fact.
It’s a generational thing. The best recipes passed down from one family to another. From a time when life was slower, photographs were sepia and horsepower really did involve a horse.
We’re always thinking back to those artisans from another, grander time. We like to imagine them as a band of brothers striving, bringing their passion and accumulated culinary know-how together to create the most extrordinary gourmet burgers.
That’s where our inspiration came from and that’s why we’ve named our business after them.More
For our Westfield London restaurant we've drawn inspiration from the local surroundings & the large open spaces of Shepherds Bush Common. We've used lots of greenery & indoor plants to achieve the airy garden feel of a very relaxed environment. Our Westfield London restaurant features comfy booths for large parties, a warm open kitchen & an impressive illustrated mural. There is also a window into our wood stone oven, so you can peer through & see your pizza cooking! Zizzi Westfield is the perfect place for a much-needed break after a long day's shopping, a catch up with friends or a pre-cinema meal!
