Great Argentinian food and for a great value. We tried the traditional empanadas and some secreto and I can say that all of it was yummy. Price-wise is worthy so must try! (See photos for more tempting detail) More

We visited Jerusalem in January this year and fell in love with the culture, history and cuisine and were thus delighted to find an Israeli gem in London. The food was SUPERB and so too was the service, really attentive, friendly and helpful. It was for my partner's birthday and when I booked I said it was for a birthday but was not expecting the restaurant to take too much notice, however, after we said no to dessert (too full) our waitress came over with two celebratory shots, telling us that she was going to put a candle in our dessert but since we did not choose one she wanted to still offer us a little something, which really made what was already an incredible dining experience that much more special! I visited this restaurant twice last week, I had mix seafood salad for starter that was tasty, really enjoyed the chicken Cajun for my main course, Authentic Italian taste, freshly prepared, good quality food and wine. reasonably priced. the staff were helpful and attentive. I am quiet fussy when it comes to cleanliness at public places I have to admit this restaurant was very clean specially the bathroom. conveniently close to southwark tube station and Tate modern. highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Union Street Café is one of my favourite "secret haunts" in London. It is a Gordon Ramsay restaurant but very relaxed and informal. The food is excellent and the service impeccable whilst being also incredibly friendly. My only slight reservation is that on the Monday night when I last visited with a friend, we had deliberately booked an early table at 5 pm so that we could go on to a theatre. Whilst we were welcomed and provided with appreciate a menu, we were then left in splendid isolation for half an hour whilst the staff obviously were having a briefing/meeting. No apology was given for this or explanation provided. When service resumed and we asked for the à la cart menu, we were told that this was only available from 6 pm. (although the waiter checked with the chef and agreed to take an order from that menu earlier if we wanted to order from it). This restriction was certainly not clear from the information provided at the time of booking or when we arrived. That – admittedly slight –criticism aside, I would unhesitatingly recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants a good meal in very friendly surroundings. It is also not terrifically expensive given its pedigree – our bill was £180 for two which included three courses, a glass of wine each and sparkling water. More

We inadvertently made a reservation for the Olive Grove while meaning to go the Union Street Cafe. Staff was very accommodating, and we were given access to the Cafe menu while being seated in the Olive Grove. Service was very good. The food, however, was just ok. Ramsey's specialties, wellington and risotto were not as good as they should have been. The wellington crust was tough and the risotto was slightly undercooked. Would be willing to give it another chance, making sure the reservation was for the Cafe. More

Tea is served in very small glasses would have preferred a tea cup for masala tea it should piping hot which it was not. The mango lassi was yummy. The savoury snacks severed lots of choice and tasted good, would have liked more creativeness with the desserts found very basic, but overall a good experience, friendly staff, good service and beautiful ambience.
