In summary: food, wine and service all exceeded expectations - a great find! This place is a revelation and a million miles away from some of the more mainstream, predictable venues that abound in London. We went for a family birthday and the ambiance was great. Speak to the staff and get some guidance on the (special and unusual) wines and menu. We took the recommendation of a first bottle of Angiolino Maule / Bianco Masieri - never heard of the grape variety before! - and were not disappointed. Essentially we had ALL the starters on the menu to share amongst us and enjoy the superior sourcing and presentation. Mains were pasta dominated (!) but the quality and sauces elevated the experience - the gnocchi with pork and fennel was a high point. You get the picture - try it for yourself and let the staff guide you, I doubt you will be disappointed. We will be back... MoreOpenTable Diner -
Our second visit to Rustic Twist and we really enjoyed it again! The service is excellent: well informed, attentive, friendly. The food a nice balance of small plates and larger options such as steak with plenty of options for the vegetarian. while each dish is well priced, it's not a cheap meal out if you go the whole hog with cocktails, wine and dessert etc but delicious indulgence! Absolutely brilliant burger but when I asked the waitress if we could have some different she said 'didn't you know this is a deep house restaurant?'....I did not. It's a let down because the food really is excellent (greedy bear was easily one of the best burgers i've eaten in London) but the atmosphere is all wrong and you can't really relax with your meal. A bit on the spenny side too. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Had been meaning to go to this restaurant for the 4 years I lived in Stoke Newington and finally got round to it on the night I moved out of the area!! A really lovely little tapas restaurant - the special truffled croquetas and the iberico pork were phenomenal. Highly recommended. MoreOpenTable Diner -
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth & enthusiasm by the staff. We were on holiday, up from Devon, & wanted to try some traditional Turkish food. We were so pleased that we came here. The food was glorious & the portions were huge. The prices were also really reasonable. We especially loved the lamb chop in their superb mixed grill & the chicken wrapped in pitta bread then chargrilled. We took a doggy bag back to the hotel & the meats were also lovely cold. Go - you won't be disappointed. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I brought my parents here when they were visiting as they can't really get this sort of food back home. They absolutely loved it. We all did. And it was great to try something new - we ordered the Feast menu, and pretty much every dish was a new one! And crazy good value. Will definitely be back. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Turkish food is a huge part of what makes Mediterranean cuisine special, that’s why Turkish cuisine is fast making a name for itself on the worldwide culinary platform. Every dish is filled with such rich flavours and exquisite tastes that people often keep coming back for more.
When looking back at Turkish history the reason Turkish cuisine is been ranked among the top three cuisines in the world can be understood better.
The lads were attentive and the service swift. The halloumi starter was excellent, chewy with fresh sallad. Had the house burger and it was as good as expected for a burger. When my mate arrived well late they were happy to fix him up with a take-away as we had to run to our event. Excellent! MoreOpenTable Diner -
