Louie's Italian Restaurant and Bar
Celebrates Italian Fare With Neighborhood Appeal
Italian cuisine is known for its depth and variety of flavors, fresh ingredients, and classic comfort. Its diverse appeal, from tastes and textures to styles and regions, make Italian cuisine a family favorite.
Louie’s is a favorite place due to the delicious food and consistency of quality. We enjoyed our meal. Love their dessert choices, especially the pineapple upside down cake!
Have not been to Louie's in a while, decided to have lunch there. Food was very tasty like I remembered. Had nice table in the back by the fireplace, attentive service. Overall good experience will be back soon.
The noise level was so high, it was a terrible dining experience.
While the food and service were good, we are in no hurry to return. It was a relief to leave!
great place to go and talk. Great staff - leaves you alone but is there when needed
Extremely noisy in the main dining room but now I now that's not a great time to go if I want to the able to hear my dinner mates.
Terrible service, loud and noisy. Can’t compare to Capital Grill! Need a new manager and waitstaff
The place was small, crowded, and noisy. The veal was unlike any other veal I have ever had. It was tough and awful. I went to this years ago and it was good. Since they have changed hands, it has gone downhill.
An out of the way place for non locals, off the main road. It is a non descript looking building. They do have valet parking. The food was very good and well prepared typical Italian restaurant style. The pastas were excellent as well as the chicken parm. The wine list is very fairly priced with the usual pinot grigio, chinati, vernaccia at around $40 per bottle.
looking forward to going back soon!
Food always delicious. Can be loud. Bar is nice. Located in a uniques spot! The fried carrots and zucchini are amazing!
As always, just a great experience ! Really fun place.
Food and service were both excellent but it was far to loud and noisy to be able to enjoy them. We could not even have a conversation at the table do to the noise level.
Very good food, fun neighborhood place
Delicious as always, especially one of the specials tonight: black linguine pasta with lobster and crabmeat! Yumm, yum, yum! We also had the lightly breaded pork chop with arugula salad and diced tomatoes and sausage and broccoli rabe orecchiette pasta. We started with mouth watering baby claims casino and shrimp cocktail. Another great meal! Can't wait to come back again.
Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food.
There was one table of very rambunctious guests, who were F bombing throughout the dinner so loudly that it became a very unpleasant experience for everyone else in that room. It was shocking to me that the wait staff did not do anything about it even though we requested them to do so. It really did change the whole ambience, and the level of enjoyment.
Always a pleasure !!
Enjoyed. Good food service and selections. Moderately priced
Excellent service , great place and food was incredible. The staff and team made us very welcome even when I messed up reservation on Christmas Eve. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. Thank you
Pleasant Christmas Eve dinner
We had a lovely family Christmas meal. The restaurant is so festive and the food is always delicious.
Quaint neighborhood spot. Good food. Classic atmosphere. Reasonable prices which is a big draw. Tuesday or Wednesday night place
Service was non-existent. While it was a busy night -the lack of service was comical and 4 out of our 8 dishes came out wrong and at different times. Go to the one in Darien, food and service is much better.
It was good. I’ll go back. I did not like my table though
Lobster meat in pasta special tasted either spoiled, freezer-burnt or both. After I complained the kitchen argued with me through the waitress about it and I chose to forget it so I ate the part of the dish that seemed safe but was charged full price. Never going back there for sure.
Always a pleasure for our Sunday night dinner, after the children go to sleep!
Great food and service. Louis's is a fun place to meet friends and enjoy an authentic Italian meal
Our Sunday night favorite, always professional and warm staff, comfortable ambiance and great cuisine!!
Per Angelo is best Mgr. ever. It was our 92yr. old mom's bday and they rolled out the red carpet. Perfect evening culminating with a pumpkin cheese cake with piles of vanilla ice creme, chocolate sauce and whip creme for our GF gal!
Always a pleasure for a cozy dinner, warm staff and delicious dishes!
We found Louie’s late in our time here. It seems everyone knows this restaurant. It is quaint, charming and satisfying. The food is great and the drinks are delicious. Service is outstanding. It does get somewhat loud with children at times, which is a negative for us. When we go out on Saturday night, we look for a quiet atmosphere. There are other small rooms to try at Louie’s and we will try that next time. We will surely go back. One suggestion is gluten free spaghetti. Ziti doesn’t always do it and that’s all they have.
Waited for seating while there were empty tables
Disappointed with the food - all chicken dishes had the consistency of rubber and were flavorless. Service struggled to keep up and the entire floor staff seemed confused. Have been here many times and they never seem to deliver - won’t be going back.
This is a must Greenwich restaurant for all. The food, drinks and staff are exceptional. Kudos to the management for having an excellent wait & kitchen staff.
LOUIE'S IS GREAT. FOOD AND SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. ALWAYS A GREAT TIME.
Loved the old fashioned decor. Food was somewhat overpriced for the quality of the meal.
The food is authentic Italian...the ambiance is wonderful and the staff is lovely.
Quiet Sunday, sat at your table, and waited for service. No one came. A few minutes later, another table was seated and they were attended to. Service staff was hanging around the station, didn't look interested ... waiting for closing time? Anyway, we had to beckon the wait staff and asked for menus and service. Food was good as usual but what happened to the service?
Love, love, love this place. A special thanks to Oscar, his service and smile are amazing!
I've been here many times and usually the food is much better. This time the veal chop special was way over spiced and the linguini special wasn't that special - sauce was too watery and not much flavor. But hopefully this was a one off experience. I'll go back to ordering my usual veal cutlet
Every meal at Louie’s is a special occasion! You feel like family when you are there! One of my favorite places to go!
