Arrived appx 10 minutes before agreed booking and waited for friends before orderingwhen friends arrived were served promptly (male waiter had a slight problem understanding English) BUT NOT A PROBLEM, believe he was in training.
In conclusion a very pleasant lunch and returning next week. Who knows may even get %* then.
Great time had by all the stags
The Georgian waitress who looked after us was superb !
Great Italian experience in Westminister. Food, drinks and ambience were perfect for our family of four!
Very very very good I love this restaurant
Unexpectedly good food and reasonably priced Italian right by Charing Cross. Member of out party was misgendered though so service rated low
service was excellent but the food was a little disappointing. I had the Tuna nicoise and it had tinned tuna and frozen green beans - not really what you would expect.
Normally go to Lu,livo Leicester Square a shame this has closed unfortunately no where near as nice, rubbish position and atmosphere not so good, food and service good but do not think we will return.
Good service and good food, large portions which were very tasty and hot.
The restaurant is located on an extremely busy street in central London, close to clubs and bars.
Our group of 9 people sat downstairs and we were lucky to have a whole floor to ourselves. Despite this, the staff were very attentive, making sure they were available and checking in on us frequently. Most importantly, the staff were having fun and happily answered any requests.
The food and drink arrived quickly and everyone enjoyed their dishes.
When it came to paying, they happily split our bill.
Great service, excellent food
Was nice to find this restaurant so close to the Playhouse theatre. good food, friendly staff
Food was delicious, staff super-friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommend but make sure you book. It gets very, very busy.
A lovely meal but one of our party was in a wheelchair and the restaurant had no disabled loo
Very handy central London location. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Good value Italian menu. I had a salad which was fresh and tasty. My friend had a pasta dish which she liked a lot. All in all a great find.
Convenient place near Embankment tube station. Nice décor, good variety of choice in the menu. Staff were friendly and good service. Would recommend and will return!
My friends and I always eat here when we meet in London. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and excellent servers. Wine’s delish too 😆.
Great food and really busy place for an authentic Italian.
Great food and service. Traditional Italian restaurant ambiance. Ideally close to Underground. Will definitely go again. Perfect for post-matinee meal.
Service on Friday was excellent - much better than usual, very friendly. Food is average, especially for vegetarians.
Seated immediately and given menus. Vast menu with something for everyone! Food took a while to come ( noticed tables ordering after us receiving their food) but was delicious. Can recommend the milanese and rissoto. Service was friendly but we also waited a long time for the bill to arrive. Wouldn't have been a problem but we had tickets to the playhouse theatre, only a few minutes walk away. A great choice of restaurant if you're not in a rush.
Authentic Italian feel, great food and atmosphere. Extensive menu. Would go back!
Very enjoyable meal and service attentive during the courses. It was a Monday which meant that the restaurant was not too crowded. There was a slight problem with the outside door because it did not always close which resulted in a cold breeze coming across to us but the staff were aware and did their best to keep it closed.
We booked for a group of eight only twenty minutes before we arrived and they found space for us. Great food, lovely service.
Great area, nice spot, atmosphere is great, loud when restaurant is full, food was fantastic and service was inconsistent
Very very good
We were a large group that wanted a light dinner pre-theatre. L'ulivo was able to accommodate us with a delicious meal on a timely basis. The pasta primavera and scallopine Milanese mains and calamari starters were especially tasty.
Lovely food as ever. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Could have been a tad quicker when we asked for the bill. And two different people asked us same question (dessert, or drinks). Feels nicer to have one person looking after you. But that’s a tiny thing.
What a lovely restaurant. Excellent value lunch special. All four of us found the food tasty. Good size portion too.
Atmosphere was buzzing.
We will certainly return.
The waitress (from Georgia) and the tall waiter were both very welcoming and efficient.
Staff extremely friendly and very helpful on the ingredients
Food excellent, really enjoyed
Thoroughly recommend a visit
Service was OK, not as attentive as I would have expected. We had to chase up drinks and ask to order. Food was good and well prepared. Would come here again, just wouldn’t be my first choice.
I made the booking for 12.15 but when we arrived the restaurant advised they were closed and not open until 12.30. A couple of the staff were a little rude to members of my party. My booking was confirmed at 12.15 and I was not advised of any change. They did accommodate us at 12.15 and food arrived quickly and was good .
Second time to L'ulivo and was as good as the first. Good food and good service. Restaurant was very busy but it is London theatre district so everywhere is busy. Actually, busy is a good sign.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first (but certainly not the last) visit. The welcome was good and service excellent. My only negative was we weren’t offered a copy of the set lunch menu, only the a la carte. It was brought when I asked for it. The food was very tasty, we all had something different and were all delighted. Thought the drinks were a bit expensive but the house wine was good value
Great place for a pre dinner meal. However service quite slow and quite stuffy inside
Busy and popular Italian great for theatres in the Strand
Food served promptly so great for theatre visits
Average service could have made more of an effort but food tasty
This is an excellent restaurant with very good food, drink and service. It is particularly useful if you are attending one of the theatres nearby. It is very convenient for Embankment station. Would definitely recommend.
We had a table for 6. Placed in a small, intimate alcove where we could chat easily. Delighted with out seating arrangement
The food was delicious, hot served quickly.
The waiting staff were polite, helpful and cheerful.
We had an excellent evening. Thankypu
Had a lovely date there the other night. Nice and warm atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Will be back definitely!
We like L'Ulivo very much, have already been back there, and will certainly return again. One of our favourites in London
We'd heard good things from a friend, but for us it was poor. Pizzas were average with skimpy toppings. Burger was overcooked with plastic mozzarella. Good friendly service and lively pre-theatre atmosphere.
