Pasta w/ bacon, onion in a light creamy sauce
Arborio rice w/ mediterannean prawns, squid & mussels in a light tomato sauce
Chicken wings are not the best however the seafood pasta was lovely. Not a great dessert wine either
Second time here, overall very good, but it’s very busy therefore somewhat noisy. I ordered a beer and by the time it arrived I’d finished my meal. Staff are polite and I would definitely return. You need to reserve in advance. 4 stars.
One of the best pizza in london - try pizza gitana
Very nice food and good service. Have visited several times. Only downside are the toilets which are in need of some attention.
Good bustling atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu and good quality dishes. Have been there several times and will continue to be my first choice for a meal in that area.
Easy to make booking, food was plentiful and very tasty. Good value for money xo soldering in central London.
A great Italian restaurant in the centre of the city. Food great and nice vibe.
Good pretheatre meal, service was good and timely.
Great place to eat before the theatre. Service is very quick and it’s great to be able to go somewhere that isn’t a Chain restaurant.
This is about the 6th time we have eaten here and the food was very good as always
Very friendly staff, large food portions, seafood pizza is excellent.
I came here for a lovely pre-cinema meal. We shared a bottle of very nice Prosecco, I had the lasagne and my partner had a pasta. The food was well cooked and well presented, with quite large portions- so in that manner it was good value for money. It was easy to get the attention of the wait staff and they were friendly and attentive. The prices are due to the location, but it had a lovely atmosphere (if not fairly loud) and was overall very enjoyable. I think I would happily go back.
Food was good, but clearly none of the staff subscribe to the theory of 'Service with a smile'
The food is authentic and well made. The stakes are large and very tender. Pasta well cooked and lovely sauce. My fish was excellent. Choice of dessert is limited but all very well done. Drinks are reasonable. A real plus point is the service, attentive without pushy. It can be a bit noisy but nothing to worry about
Nice food, nice wine, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. We were seated immediately- what’s not to like.
Excellent food as always with a very friendly approach and location close by most theatres- frequent customer!
Lovely restaurant. Food is great. Have a small menu for kids if required. Definitely recommend booking in advance. Always very busy, but you can understand why with the great food and location.
Friendly reception, very good food quickly served in pleasant surroundings at a reasonably price.
Very pleased we booked this restaurant. Would do it again.
Terrible. Booked for 6.30 on Saturday. Finally got to a table at 7.10 - no explanation, apology or even a smile. When we did get seated we didn't get served until we flagged down a waitress. She didn't write out order down and subsequently our Tortellino was forgotten. The food was poor, other than the lasagne which, to be fair, was delicious. The mozeralla balls were tasteless, the pizzas were average and the tortellino was raw. When we asked for it to be cooked again there was no apology we were just told it was supposed to be like that. We should've been suspicious by the bags of tesco and asda dried pasta that were being used as decoration beside our table! Have been here a few times before but that will be our last unfortunately. £140 for the worst meal we've had in London for ages. Such a shame.
Authentic Italian food prepared beautifully in cozy surroundings
Lovely restaurant we ate here before our theatre trip. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was fantastic. Good quality Italian and good portion sizes
Bruschetta dissapointing as it was rasther tastless probably due to the tomatoes.
Great pizza, pasta and more near Covent Garden. Good value for central London.
Not very special. Most of the ingredients were straight from a can, example Salmon Nicoise salad had just packaged smoked salmon not a real piece of baked salmon as one would expect on a proper Nicoise.
Food was good and choice excellent for a vegetarian. Large garlic bread great. Main meals nice and hot with plenty of options. Puddings on the expensive side for the size given, but very nice. TLadies toilets are cozy.
Great food, service was timely and accurate. Spent a very enjoyable long lunch with no pressure to rush.
I may have only marked '3' but do not avoid this as it is a good restaurant to go pre-theatre (local to the Playhouse), it is a good Italian restaurant with very efficient service ie we will return!
I have a limited choice because of varying food sensitivities. It would be nice if they had a
a gluten free pizza base. Maybe something they could consider. However I know the prawns are always well done to the recipe I require so this restaurant is a favourite for me. The service is always good and attentive of my food sensitivities. It is also right opposite Charing Cross station so the journey home is a simple one.
Excellent for pre-theatre meal - delicious pasta and risotto and fine desserts
Sehr leckere Gerichte, die Weinempfehlung war hervorragend. Der Service war freundlich. Wie waren gleich zwei Abende nacheinander zum Dinner dort.
Great place for dinner on New Year's Eve. Good food, speedy service with a smile!
We booked a table for New Years Eve. We were not made aware of the 25% service charge when we booked. I understand that it was a busy evening, but the service was very hurried and our dinner felt very rushed. However the food was great.
While this restaurant is on a busy street across from the train station it was very pleasant we were seated promptly and given time to order drinks and appetizers before our main course We had the squid ink pasta, the prawn diablo with the mussel appetizer It is an excellent choice in the Charing Cross area
Food was fine. Not the best and not the worst Italian meal. But, as a party of 1, I felt like I was shoved in a corner and, other than taking my order (finally!) and delivering the food to my table, I may as well as been invisible. I literally had to beg to pay my bill at the end of my meal, asking no less than 3 employees to allow me to pay my bill. If the restaurant doesn’t want to serve parties of 1, they should limit the type of reservation they accept. From the time I sat down, it took 2 hours to have a 2-course meal. Not because the portions were large but because I was not acknowledged for 20 minutes at the start of my meal and it took over 30minutes before someone took the 3-minutes to process my payment for the food. Worst dining experience I had during a 11-day trip to London.
From the moment we walked in the staff we not attentive and borderline rude... and not just to us, to everyone. They try to walk away before you have finished ordering and that's if you can manage to grab their attention long enough to tell them you want something. They forget things too, a note book might comr in handy for these guys. They did remove some of the incorrect food from the bill but I would still give this place a miss next time.
Amazing food, all staff really Friendly and very welcoming. brilliant service and accommodating
Really enjoyed the meal, been three times so far and not been disappointed once. Will be returning ASAP.
The food was amazing and there was a lovely ambience.Glad we booked as this was very busy.
The toilets were a bit of a let down and needs a good overhaul however.
Would definitely recommend this amazing Italian restaurant .
A 25% mandatory service charge added on a Christmas Day. Without having been informed I just spotted that on the bottom of the menu once I sat. Honestly is not really professional especially when the service was poor for the whole time. Not deserved at all.
I had a main course of veal which was overcooked and very dry. Complained to waitress who offered to replace or refund. Due to time constraints, I decided to have a refund. Everything else was fine. Waitress was very apologetic and courteous
