Was slightly disappointed as we were expecting M Raw but the options were very limited. We had the Bento Box but the noodles were overcooked and congealed. Amazing place for steak, maybe it was a bad idea to go for something else.

Good food, bit expensive but fair enough. Big plus was being able to pay with the cake app. Made things very smooth. Never go to a place that doesn't have these days.

This place has gone downhill since it opened. I've been around 8-10 times and it's now a shadow of what it was like when it opened last year.

Waiting staff are unresponsive and it takes far long time to order food / water / drinks. Not good when I'm trying to host clients.

The menu is now VERY confused - we had 4 (yes 4!!) separate menu options which makes a simple business lunch more complex than it needs to be

Music is far too loud

Extractors was rubbish and the place stank of hot plate tuna / steak.

I'm going back to my previous venue elsewhere until I hear it's improved.

M Raw in Threadneedle street is as ever - delectable and delicious! Staff are amazing - food is incredible. this was my first time venturing to the Raw side as i so love their USDA steaks (not to mention everything else!)
It was a business lunch and the service was quick and very efficient and incredibly tasty. Definitely recommend the kangaroo tartare and the Bao are really tasty - the prawn dish too was almost too pretty to eat! But glad i did.. :)

went there for business lunch. The tapas are as expected small but way too small for their price. The summer rolls must have been prepared several hours ago and were dries out. 18 or however many
on the menu translated into 18 bites. The bao bun was starchy and not fluffy as you would expect it to be. The tartar did not taste fresh.
The team however was very friendly and accommodating and the place itself has a good atmosphere.

To be honest, overall, this falls short of the expectations set. Upon arriving, we received a wonderful greeting and then went to the upstairs bar for a drink as we were a couple of minutes early for our booking. The bar staff were brilliant, very attentive, engaging and most importantly - they really knew their trade. Great cocktails and chat served up to my partner and I. Unfortunately, this ended up being the highlight of the evening as the rest of the evening was sub standard. Upon going downstairs, there was a bit of a faff - we asked to be sat in one of number of tables that were not being used, but despite them not being reserved, this for some reason proved difficult for the staff. Eventually we sat down. The waiter was unable to answer most questions posed about the menu and despite a very simple request for a slight amendment to one of the dishes due to a dietary requirement, we were informed the kitchen were unable to support it. This we found somewhat disappointing since they insist the raw dishes are all freshly prepared and all we were asking were for the sauce element to one dish to be served on the side but they refused and offered no reason. As, apparently, the subject of the dish (scallop) was not pre-marinaded, why could you not simply just put the sauce on the side rather than on the dish? Further, 3 key items on the menu were not available the evening we visited which is why we asked for the minor change to the scallop dish. Further to this, when the food began to arrive, I would say two thirds of the dishes were disappointing; very minimalist with little flair or flavour. The hot stone tuna sashimi was a disaster. Paper thin tuna that will over cook instantly on any hot surface - I was amazed when the waitress said cook it either side for 2-3 mins. We politely nodded and ignored the advice as a thick cut tuna steak couldn't stand up to such brutal punishment let alone thin cut sashimi. Service - uncaring, slow and inattentive. Disappointing.

What a venue, clearly very popular and with the best service I can remember receiving in a long long time. I went to the RAW Restaurant and had a divine meal. Started with Sushi topped with Caviar, which was amazing, then the Kangaroo Tartar - decicious, Then BAU - yes I was hungry! The Bau was phenominal, and finished with Wagyu on a hotstone, which I cooked myself and could possibly have been the best steak I have ever eaten by far!!!

Everything that we had was delicious - we were instructed that plates were to be shared, (we were a group of 4) however, these plates are not suitable for sharing for more than two people per plate. In fact I would have preferred to treat the menu as an a la carte and picked single dishes to enjoy by myself, rather than share. Although by sharing we did get to taste everything and it was all on point! I would definitely suggest this to anyone who likes Asian and Raw food.

We ordered a couple of self-grill hot stone items and a few raw items (ceviche, vegetables). The latter were excellent. For the self grill, the meat worked better than the fish, which tended to stick to the hot stone a little too much. Given the size of the room, they can do with a few more wait staff, particularly at busy times.

Went for dinner to M Grill end of November when it just opened and wasn't impressed at all.
Thought I give it another try, this time for lunch at M Raw. Choose the lunch menu for £30, with sashimi which was top, the Argentine steak to be cooked on hot stone and white chocolate soup, both excellent. Ordered an additional portion of steak as it was great! great service and ambience also for lunch. great value with the deal but wouldn't disappoint at standard menu either!

Fab meal, very tasty but very tiny portion sizes. We were a table of two non drinkers and non meat eaters. The ambience and service in the restaurant is fantastic and we could not fault the neat, attentive and extremely professional staff. The food was exquisite and it was clear the produce was the freshest available. Our meal was incredibly tasty however if you are hungry this probably is not the best place to eat considering the miniscule portions. Our bill came to over £100 with just water on the table and one diet coke if it was not for the generous dessert portion size we likely would have left very hungry.

Booked a table for the RAW menu. They were using one side of the restaurant for both Grill and Raw as it was pretty empty. The service is slightly abrupt, and having popped by for drinks on a previous occasion I knew this but somehow thought that the experience would be better if I was dining. The food is what can only be described as laughable, as every time a dish arrived we laughed at how small it was, hats off to the chef though who can slice one scallop so finely you can serve it to three tables. The only thing we did not laugh at was the bill as it was grossly overpriced for the plate sizes and there was no wow factor to the taste of the dishes. It is also hard to find a bottle of wine for under £30. Such a shame as the space itself is great with some good tunes playing in the background. The city misses a slightly more upmarket bar/restaurant with a good vibe, this could have been it but it sadly thinks it's something that it quite clearly is not, and at those prices, is never likely to be.

Service not precise, forgot the foigras on the steak, steak was welldone not rare medium as had been ordered, sent that back, while waited, the guest's steak went cold. chips were as though they were tesco's finest oven baked, wine shabby and acidic no matter which i tried, starter meh. their idea of ceviche is a world on finely chopped onion on top of the raw non existent portion of fish. wont go back. steak is over priced for something that is less in quality than Gaucho

Table of 6. We have been presented 3 (!!!) different menus but were told we all had to agree to order only from one. Very confusing. Service was below par, not what u expect in a restaurant advertised at that level. Mistake over mistake from a waitress with attitude.
The food was good in the end but the evening was spoiled before we got to enjoy that. Ambience average, a bit like a bit football, little privacy. And less than a third of the tables sold on Friday night.
Needs a redesign of the dining room, a much simpler menu and a new chief of staff!

I booked a table for 2 on Valentines evening, and we ultimately left disappointed. The menu at M Raw is relatively small but there's enough range (just). We went for a sashimi sharer, the chicken and steak cooked on hot stone, crispy potato salad and a couple tiradito dishes. We had 2 bottles of the Riesling (pricey at £85 a bottle but very nice). Overall the bill came in at just under £300. The quality of service does The food was good overall. The device however does not befit the prices. One dish wasn't even served but charged for, we had to point that out. We had 3 waitresses / waiters across the course of the evening as one ended up serving another table (which just got confusing and left us waiting around or having to get their attention). We had to request that the wine stay on our table as it was taken away but no one was topping us up regularly (why do restaurants do that ?!). There seemed to be ALOT of staff, but we weren't quite sure what was going on. Overall it's a shame as we really wanted to find a new Roka or Sushisamba but it won't be here. I wouldn't rush back (toovM Grill too) as there are many other alternatives in London for this style of food

The service is impeccable but quantity of food disappointing. Crudités came as seriously four pieces of fish smaller than a five pence piece. You couldn't tell if you put them in your mouth because there was no taste - Too small to feel any texture.

Good came quick though which was fantastic. I just wish they would serve you more food. When I hear 8 courses and pay £148 I expect to be full. I wasn't.

The restaurant was lovely and so where the staff and seating. The service was very slow and the it took us around 2 hours for just lunch for 5 people and we only had a cocktail and a choice of three items. The set menu for £25 was slightly deceiving as we thought we where selecting 3 things from the mains and then a dessert, but the dessert was included in the three things...

Apart from leaving some space in our stomachs the food was good and ideal for business use if impressing a client or for team lunches/treats. We would next however order from the main menu.

Thanks!

The menu selections are varied and interesting. Ultimately it is a tapas style eating with global food and some good healthy options. However when they recommend around 4 dishes per person for lunch, which given their size I would agree, the dishes are typically £8-18. Therefore you end up spending over £40 per head on food, which you could get the same food in a michelin starred restaurant such as city social for.
Its a shame it is so overpriced as the concept and dishes are good.

The restaurant is still very new and needs some time to settle in, the food is lacking just a little something. The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable, but the food is just lacking in that extra something, that so many of it's competitors currently already have. i definitely think M Raw will get there as it is still very new, it hasn't put us off from going again, we will just give it a little time before our next visit.

I had dinner at M RAW on NYE 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food is so flavorful and I was really surprised. I didn't know what to expect as I hadn't dined with such cuisine before except lightly dabbling in sushi and sashimi. The service was fantastic, live music was delightful. As a side note, I am told that the toilets were a treat! ha. Not something you'd typically review in a restaurant but apparently they're heated, massaging as well. I think the ladies I was with spent a bit longer in there as they were very impressed. Overall a really nice, fun dining experience.
