Music was unfortunately loud. We had to talk very loud to be heard, even to the servers. They also had run out of the dish I have gone there for. On the plus side, the service and the food was great
We went for my partner birthday. We both enjoyed our meal. Value for money. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lovely music
Very good food. Saltfish Akee dumplings fave
Quite a bit if sauce with the bbq platter. Probs better on side?
Very disappointed. I did say we were there for a birthday but nothing done to help us celebrate. They do not serve desserts and the coffee machine wasn't working. Felt 2 meals and two drinks high for £46.
The ambience of the place was ok the energy was good, as someone who is not eating meat at the moment the choice was disappointing.
The starter I had was not as expected and the mains of ital stew which is touted as vegan was really really disappointing. For a jamaican theme restaurant, being serve potatoes, carrot and cauliflower does not constitute something exotic. Really a disappointing experience especially considering the charges, not worth it.
Seated promptly but had pre booked a table. Took a minute for someone to get our first drinks but after that food was delivered swiftly and so was the drinks after that. Music was great all night.
Food was lovely and tasty!. Portion size is good.. I got the fried chicken tenders this time could of done with a few more as I only got 4 small ones. But very tasty. Me and my partner likes it here. They used to do 241 on cocktails during happy hour but now they do only a handful of cocktails for £6. Prefer the 241.
As always the food tastes brilliant. As someone whose Caribbean the quality here is the best from any restaurant I've ever been to in London. I particularly recommend the oxtail and escovitch fish. I've been many times and will go again.
They didn’t have dishes available that were on the menu. The starter came with the main meal, we asked for water for the table and that wasn’t made available and when I asked for a coffee I was told the machine wasn’t working.
Very unfriendly staff .
Never had such a old welcome
I loved the food, the people were really nice! Totally recommend!
Really good service and food would definitely visit again!
I have never been to such crap in my life.
I am a jamaican and know what is to be expected in a jamaican restaurant.
Jamaica.. New York.. Canada..
I have experienced jamaican cusean food..
But this one has to be the worst.
Were in the rass you go to a jamaican restaurant and they don't have green banana and bole dumplings.
No yam... No breadfruit...
I as the chief if it is okay to do me some boll dumplings and the answer I get' they make it for themselves not for anybody else.. '
I ask for the jurk meat.... What do I get instead bones with some black crap on it....
The rice & peas was over cooked...
My partner had the fry chicken with rice and peas... No season on the chicken at all...
This by far is the worst experience I have ever had...
As for the drinks.... What a joke... None alcohol drinks £5 each... Mango & cocunt.... Did taste good at all..
What is going on with this place..
If you can't provide the goods then close down the rassclat place..
If any body wants to question me please feel free to come with your reasonings... Get people. That understands how and what is jamaican food and how to cook de rass ting...
I enjoyed the nite but main problem was food was dangerously way too salty I have never left my food but could not eat all of it unfortunately.
First time had a lovely experience for my mum's birthday. The food, the vibe and the service was on point xx
Amazing food, fantastic cocktails, wonderful service and a superbly vibrant atmosphere. Loved the whole dining experience
Food was caked in sauce that was too overpowering. The plantains were dried up, the fries were literally oven chips and considering how much everything costs it was very underwhelming.
Polite and helpful staff, great tasty food at reasonable prices, lovely cocktails
The best experience I have ever had the food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding thank you for a great night I will definitely be coming back there we had a really love time thank you so much
The food was excellent. It reminded me of cooking back home. I had the oxtail and rice and peas. It was tender, well seasoned and very tasty. My partner had curry goat rice and peas and it was equally delicious and succulent. We ordered Ackee and salt fish with fried dumplings as a stater but were told that everything came at the same time. The portions are a good size so we had to take starter home with us. All the food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing especially killa duppy. I would recommend eating here.
Nice food but will like more Caribbean music being played and less volume that you can conversed with each other other other.wise grate place and welcoming staff
Average food and drink. We were not kindly made aware that we could only be there for 1hr30mins, a staff member just dropped a bill on our table swiftly followed by another staff member with a card reader. If this was verbally explained to us I wouldn’t have had a problem but felt very unwelcoming.
Absolutely lovely food, delicious and very filling! Would definitely recommend! The lovely lady (think she was new) who was serving us was so polite a bubbly.
Really nice restaurant - was recommended by a friend. Restaurant was a lot smaller than I expected but that didn’t detract from the atmosphere.
There was a little wait for food but that was purely because there was a big table next to us with over 16 people so we waited a little longer for our food but it wasn’t unbearable.
The food was good ( good portions) and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My only gripe was that the music was too loud but other than that it was good vibes. I would go again.
Food tasted okay although the portion sizes were quite small. The service was very poor - we were waiting to make an order for 25mins before finally having to ask a member of staff if we could order, despite the fact that the restaurant was relatively quiet at the time. One person ordered a bottle of still water and 5mins later the waitress came back and said they didn't have any. After finishing the meal, it took another roughly 30mins before our plates were taken away and then we had to chase one of the waiters for the bill.
To sum up - average food, decent price, poor service.
We attended dinner on Friday evening. Restaurant was busy and playing good reggae music. Food and service were great, and really good value for money.
Dined there with friends overall a very good experience rum punch to die for will definitely go again
Less sugar, more rum and grated nutmeg for an authentic rum punch please
Great atmosphere. Food selection isn’t much but great taste. They play music in the background but it’s not too loud.
The decor was so tropical and inviting and the food was so mouth-watering our delicious, I had to ask for a container to take some home and it was equally divine the day after omg! How do they do that?! Try the beef pattie, the oxtail and rice and peas, the curried goat roti and plantain. I just don’t know how they make it taste so good. The staff was really pleasant and tended to our table perfectly! The cocktails omg! The naked colada was it for me! Perfect in every way! I went with my kids. I’m definitely getting hubby to take me back for our next Anniversary! Love it!
The food was good and waitress friendly and helpful
Great food and vibes. The cocktails are the best.
Excellent meal. Highly recommend for authentic Caribbean food in a vibrant and lively setting 👍
We ordered the oxtail and curry goat mains with festivals, plantain and Mac n cheese sides. Everything was tasty and good portion sizes, cocktails were nice and you can taste that there was actually alcohol in them. Just a bit small and could have more comfortable seating.
Food was still frozen. Very few menu options available. Only house wine. Venue completely empty. Very disappointing.
My favourite spot in Camden! This was my second visit to Ma Petite Jamaica and it was even better than the first time. The food was perfect; I highly recommend the sweet potato and pumpkin fritters (starter) 🤤 and the jerk pork was spot on. Drinking is a must here. The rum punch is one of the best I've had at bar/restaurant. And Definitely try the Black River Ice Tea 🥴😄
Customer service was brilliant, and the food was amazing. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer 💪🏼
The food was a good size for the value, it was really filling. Only thing that would've made it a bit better was if they served deserts. Food was honestly and truly tasty, the cocktails were fruity and vibrant. Would definitely recommend, even if its just for drinks.
The service was 5 star and so was the food. The flavours are authentic and you can taste everything was cooked with perfection.
The service staff are polite and friendly. They made the entire experience that much nicer. Will definitely recommend.
