A birthday celebration was fun
Great service. Celine was awesome. Fabulous food
Our salad was soaked in dressing and seemed like it was old, the high priced shrimp and scallops did not live up to there description. I have good memories from Magnolias so I was disappointed!
Overall, excellent...might need to tweak this dessert description a bit:
BRICK OVEN BAKED MOLTEN CHOCOLATE COOKIE*
Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
it's a little misleading... could be inferred that the cookie itself is dark chocolate with molten chocolate core/sauce, not a plain cookie with dark chips baked in a dish, with ice cream on top.
We all had something different and all four meals were excellent! Service was great! Bread pudding was dry but other than that we were very pleased with everything.
The food was very good. The service was not so great. We weren’t ready to order 30 seconds after being sat (was I supposed to read the menu online and pre-decide?), so that resulted in a 20 minute penalty before the server came back to take our order. When the food came, we wanted more drinks, but we were half way done before our server appeared. Near the end of our meal, we noticed that just about every other table had a basket of bread on it. We were never even offered bread, it would have been nice to have it. Overall, the food was very good but I’m not sure it was worth the 45 minute drive out there. There are many places closer with good food and more attentive service.
Great food and service. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Angie, our waitress, was fabulous and engaging.
Good food and nice atmosphere. Service was good. Recommended
Our ossobucco was superb! It’s not only a friendly establishment but it also delivers on the food. A pleasure to visit from Washington DC.
Great outdoor patio!
We always have a good meal at Magnolias. I had a shrimp and scallop dish over risotto. It was delicious. My daughter had the Filet Mignon and was delighted with it. My husband had a fish special which he liked. My grandson had a burger and said it was very good. Special note that their Cosmopolitan's were absolutely delicious. I love these drinks, and many places do not do a good job with them.
The food was delicious and the outdoor seating was spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow and it took nearly an hour to get our meals.
We hadn’t done an inside dinner out with our best friend neighbors since COVID began. We really enjoyed our very relaxed evening. Got seated immediately with reservations. Very happy our entire experience. Glad we picked Magnolias.
We would go back there when we’re in the area.
They were out of strawberry vodka which they had on the menu posted on open table. They were out of an IPA beer they advertised having on the menu provided at the table. The scallops tasted like dirty salt water. The shrimp and grits tasted like dirty salt water. The manager came to the table three times to apologize and didn’t even offer to comp anything. We didn’t ask but felt after all of this we shouldn’t have needed to ask.
This was my second time going to this restaurant and honestly not impressed with the food. For the price they are charging I expect top notch tasting food. I tried to decide a head of time what I was going to order and they no longer had the burger I wanted. I asked for just a simple burger with cheese and mushrooms. They have gave me a cheese burger with cooked mushrooms on the side of my plate on top of the lettuce and tomato. Who does this?? Unfortunately will not be returning.
My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with a prime rib dinner at Magnolias. We chose Magnolias because we have always had great experiences with their food and service. Just as expected...everything was perfect!
Been here several times over the past decade and food is always delicious. The prices have increased rapidly that would be my only con. That a gf bison burger was 25 dollars. It was delicious though! Can get pricey for a family of 3 likes our. We have had great servers each time as well.
Outdoor dining. Excellent food. Busy. Make sure you have a reservation.
We had a great time. Our server was kind and gracious.
Good food and service. Very pleasant to eat outside. A bit pricey
Fabulous dinner as always at Maggies! Great outdoor seating on a beautiful night.
First time to dine here in a few years. We had been wanting to come back for a long time, so after our bike ride on the C&O Canal path we made our way over to purcellville to go to Magnolia’s. It has changed. The prices are much higher than we remember. Some items were just ok such as the overly iced Aperol Spritz, bland mushroom ravioli and the dressing doused strawberry salad. The cheese board was ok but had all of 3 pieces of toast, later some bread was brought. My mussels were good enough and the strawberry salad tasted good even though the limp lettuce was soaking wet. One of us had the Caesar salad which was completely covered in Parmesan cheese which seemed too much. One of us got the pizza which was pretty good. So overall it was still good, but we won’t be clamoring to go back soon which is a shame.
This restaurant is usually good.
The smash burger was OK but very small patty, so ended up with a big section of leftover bun.
The smokehouse burger that was supposed to be medium rare had raw center pieces. The cocktails and bento box appetizers were good.
Very pleasant outdoor environment for a get-together dinner with my parents. Good food. one of the better restaurants in Purcellville
Our waitress Celine was fantastic. She really made our date night special!
Went for our anniversary. Even though they were extremely busy, we had great service and our meals were perfect.
Little disappointed they didn’t have the brunch buffet but that’s okay. We ordered the crab Benedict and chicken waffles. Food was amazing. They were short staffed and it took over an hour before our food arrived but our waitress was very informative and kept us updated.
Magnolias went out of their way to make our 1st Anniversary dinner special. They even printed "1st Anniversary" on our personal menus! How sweet!! Our server was great and the food was excellent. Cocktails (especially the Ideal Husband, was outstanding!!). We loved it here!
Beautiful setting, wide range of delicious menu offerings and impeccable service! A favorite of ours for a great evening of food and drink!
The food is always excellent and the ambiance is lovely. However, this time, there was a large party in the same room as we were dining and until they left we couldn't hear each other talk.
The staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting an item to order. I was a bit disappointed in the mushroom ravioli as it was tasteless! But the stout beer was great and so were the oysters.
We were greeted with a gracious smile, seated in the lovely windowed side room and our server, Cassidy immediately came over to assist us. Cassidy is a terrific waitress. The good was delicious. My only complaint was the beet salad wAs overdressed making the lettuce badly wilted. Everything else was perfect.
Almost everything is good but price is on the high side.
Excellent halibut and crabcakes
