Friendly with good assortment of food for the price
Mango Valley provided us with a wide variety of both chinese and indian food at very good value. Very enjoyable evening.
The food at mango valley was very yummy, once we got what we'd ordered but we were told we would all be given the same starters -it ended up we were sat down at half 7 and didn't get the food we actually ordered and wanted until about half 9 by which time even though it was all you can eat we only really had time to order one dish of our own choosing. The dish we did order was very satisfying however it would have been nicer to have been able to order a few courses of food we knew we wanted/liked.
We went on a Thursday night as a group of 4. We were quickly seated by a waiter and was asked immediately if we would like drinks and starters. We ordered drinks and asked for a few minutes to look at the menu. When the drinks came back a different waitress asked us again if we would like starters, she then tried to explain in very broken English a special starter they do and without really understanding what it was we agreed to it. It came and the food was okay but on the plus side it was very hot. There was a lot to choose from on the menu and a good range of vegetarian dishes which was nice. We then ordered our mains and the waiter wasn't sure on the dishes so kept having to consult the menu. The food came quickly and it was hot but quite bland. The fried chicken one of our party ordered was swimming in oil and wasn't very appetising. The waiter came back and checked on us at least 4 times which we thought was unnecessary. The main thing which we were concerned about though was the fact their was only 1 other table of two in the whole restaurant! Overall, it was an okay experience but I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend. At £11.95 it was good value for money as you have a lot to choose from and it is all you can eat but the dishes are very bland. Also the waiters/waitresses were friendly but the broken English was slightly awkward so I would recommend maybe some more training. I understand it is better when they have themed nights and entertainment on but it was so empty when we went there was no atmosphere at all. So overall it was an ok experience but I don't think I would come back.
We've been to Mango Valley several times now. The gentleman who owns the restaurant is always so accommodating with our 3 year old and is very amicable. The food is always fantastic and there is so much to choose from! One side is Indian cuisine and the other side is Chinese. The dessert bar is quite nice as well. There are usually cakes, ice cream, jello and fruits. I'd highly recommend Mango Valley for a family dinner out. We'll keep coming back!
We were surprised at the wide selection of both Indian and Chinese food. Always well stocked including desserts. Obviously children could have whatever they liked but there was also option of chicken nuggets and chips. Everything we tried tasted great. Can't wait to go back and try the rest that we didn't have room for.
we went recently after hearing good and bad reviews, thought i would try myself. 6 of us went. there didnt seem to be any organisation when we arrived, no one to greet you, it took a while to find someone who new about our booking. the food was good, varied and clearly marked. loved the seaweed and sushi. bit concerned that dishes came from the kitchen were poured onto old food. there was no atmosphere, no music and it took forever to get a waiter to fetch drinks. wouldnt bother going again
